1: Pretty much disagree entirely anyway but 2: Im pretty sure they actually get lists of fandoms from contestants before making questions. Trapp has mentioned in passing before that the next category is "One each of you had mentioned" or that he knows "You guys are all big fans of this one"

I love that the Simpsons themed episode had a running gag with Kirk forgetting to say Um, Actually.
Um actually the voice of stephen hawking is Dennis Klatt, a researcher who developed the device that Stephen used to speak. Even though there were offers for new voices to be placed in the machine by professional voice actors, Stephen had become so accustomed to speaking with Dennis' voice that it became a part of his identity and he decided to stick with it, even after Dennis' death in 1988. His voice lived a whopping 30 years afterwards!

um actually... Kang and Kodos also showed up in episode 17 of season 13 "Gump Roast". they appear near the end of the episode where they threaten to destroy the world until viewing Maggie's memories and realize that all of their favorite celebrities live on earth.

It's actually kind of interesting that Marge never became a robot, since at least in the Treehouse of Horror episodes we've seen Homer become a robot and Bart get replaced by a robot, but given how they do so many parodies I can't believe we still haven't got one of the Stepford Wives, where they could TOTALLY turn Marge into a robot.
Actually, as it stands there is now an episode with Marge-bots.
Honestly that’s what gave me pause, I used to be obsessed with the Simpsons, but haven’t seen it in years. I knew the episode, but couldn’t remember if Marge ever became a robot or not.

I loved the banter back and forth between the contestants, theres more of it here than a lot of other episodes. The excitement over their favorite moments was fun.

But she did say "Um, Actually" prior to her first answer, which was that a 'wizard didn't do it'. This makes her the only one to answer correctly AND say "Um, Actually".

To work as the counter here, let's have a similar number of themed and non-themed episodes. I personally like to see if a fandom that I'm a part of appears in an episode, kind of like a surprise pull. At the same time, it is also nice to see people actually have an idea what they're talking about.
Agreed, themed episodes like this are great for really diving into a subject, and getting to have multiple contestants who have deep knowledge of the subject, making for an intense, tight game. General episodes are good for the variety, a sense of chaos, and for giving room to properties to which it would be more difficult to devote a full themed episode. And when none of the contestants know the answer to a question, it gives the audience the chance to be proud of themselves for knowing something they didn't- provided it doesn't happen to often and just makes the contestants feel out of place on the show.

I love the wholesome "I bought your book and I love your book" moment.
People are allowed to be fans of other people's work and just enjoy it and not critique things. We're all hoping for validation and appreciation for things we do.

This is my favorite Um Actually episode. It really warms my heart.
Nothing makes me feel older than me realizing I am older than The Simpsons.
I remember my older brother showing me the Simpsons too. We were watching a re-run of the Tracy Ulman show and he was like "hey you have to check this out." It was a magical moment and I have stuck with the show ever since. I have stuck with it no matter what.

Missed opportunity for the contestants to begin their correction with a "D'Oh"
Yay! Ms "Thrill Ho tattoo" is back and I just can't get enough of that energy, and it happens to be a Simpsons episode! Although I do admit seeing an episode where Kirk fails thematically is a draw on itself.
I knew checking these when they go up to see if Brennan is in them. It’s been forever and I want to see someone dethrone him.

That’s correct, however that episode is not considered as being canon to The Simpsons and therefore has no impact on the canonicity of the Rigellians

34:20 one of my favorite this to watch Is Simeone saying something true while being in a comedic context so everybody starts to try to understand the joke but they realize they are being serious.
i love um, actually and i'm moderately informed on happenings in the simpsons, but man this might just be my favourite episode. all three contestants were so much fun !!

Um, Actually, Marge does become a robot in several couch gags and is replaced by a robot designed to think exactly like her in one of the Thanksgiving Of Horror segments
I actually think the Comic Book Guy's name works so well cos it fits with who he is. Jeff likes to think of himself as this brilliant intellectual who is far above everyone else when in reality he's just sorta mundane.
Also her argument is kinda bad lol just bc we didn't know the name of a person doesn't mean that in his life he doesn't have one. Like sure the character was conceptualized without a name, but that doesn't mean anyone believes in universe that he doesn't have a name
That opening sequence made me so happy
I didn't hear Julia say "um actually" after she answered after Kirk while jumping up and down. I heard her say "um" but not "um actually".
Um actually: Meh did not originate in the Simpsons, as it's first occurrence in written history is in a 1928 Yiddish-English-Hebrew dictionary and was then spread to wider use outside of the Jewish community by The Simpsons.
um actually "jebus" didn't either, it appears in judges 19, in quite a few english translations of the bible, as an older name for jerusalem l.

Great episodes, great contestants, and on an episode topic I'm not knowledgable about nor am I particularly a big fan of said topic but I support things I like.
Um, actually, for a Real Life Skills statement that was about writing "formal, standard English," there was an extra comma after "standard" in the statement that shouldn't have been there according to standard English grammar. With "formal" and "standard" being adjectives for the noun "English," the only comma that belonged there was the one separating the two adjectives.
*FINALLY* an episode where I'm confident I'll get most (if not every) answer right! I'm a big ol' Simpsons nerd!

Also since this episode was recorded Cromulent HAS been added to the Oxford English dictionary
I think that when they conceived these kinds of episodes this was the kind of responses they were look for
