It was Homer's Roast Episode, and K & K came to help in the festivities as well as destroy the Earth, but not before looking through the thoughts of a child (Maggie) and deciding not to blow up the Earth

UM ACTUALLY... Kang/Kodos actually did appear in the season 8 episode, "The Springfield Files" in an FBI lineup, which is considered canon.
Kang & Kodos also appeared in the Season 11 episode "Behind the Laughter," the season 13 episode "Gump Roast," and the season 26 episode/Futurama crossover episode "Simpsorama" -- none of which are canonical, but this also means they have appeared in episodes that aren't Treehouse of Horror.

CH still has money and their streaming network Dropout continues to exist and make money, and some of their content has lower production costs than others. There's a weird audio cut when she's yelling, and the sound that comes back in at the end of the cut does a bit like 'ually'
Umm, Actually, While Hans Moleman has claimed to be 31, and in the episode "Duffless" his ID shows this as his birthday, this has been largely inconsistent. He was also the mayor of Springfield 30 years prior to one episode and in the earlier episode than "Duffless", "Principle Charming", his license listed him as 69 as of the air date. He also shows up as one of the seniors to show up in "Wild Barts Can't be Broken" and in that same episode, it's implied he's at least 70, given the proposed curfew for anyone under 70.
Um, actually, a later episode “In the name of the Grandfather” shows Hans Moleman with his nearly-identical elderly father, suggesting that it could have been the latter who appeared in the episode to which you’re referring.
Um, actually, I'm sure someone has said this, but Troy McClure was never said to have played Radioactive Man in the Simpsons TV show. That was in the comics, which aren't canon, if it can even be said there is a canon.

For sure, there have been so many episodes where no-one had the faintest idea and were taking the opportunity to try and do shitty stand-up instead. The sheer enthusiasm of these guys was infectious.
umm actually, Kirk absolutely earned his space on this episode from an earlier episode with an incorrect statement about the B-Sharps where he freaks out and starts singing Dr. Doolittle to express how upset he was he missed the incorrect part of the statement and Trapp gives him the point as a gesture of good faith proving that he does in fact have memorized enough Simpsons trivia and is passionate enough to compete so long as he stops fucking up the 1 of 2 rules in the show.
