Um, Actually, the main characteristics of a Manticore is the head of a man, the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion. This is from its Persian origins and the wings weren't added until later during more modern times.
Woody Allen mentioned a mythical beast, called The Great Roe, which had the head of a lion, and the body of a lion, but they were two different lions!

Um actually, the defining characteristic of mythology is it's malleability as it forms through traditional storytelling that passes down and changes over time. Therefore the Persian version and any other version are equally valid.

Um, actually, Anakin _did_ build Threepio. He almost certainly used scrap pieces and parts from other droids to do it, but C-3PO as an entity didn't exist prior to Anakin constructing him.

@@ultrabigfella That's not technically true. Anakin rebuilt C-3P0 from scrap parts. C-3P0 did exist before Anakin. While Anakin is an incredible mechanic, he isn't skilled enough to program a basically sentient being. Anakin built/repaired the body to help his mom with chores but the core processor and memory banks existed well before Anakin got a hold of him

Um actually, the first god of destruction introduced in Dragon Ball is Beerus in the 2013 movie. The character was designed before Toriyama's involvement and his name was intended to be a pun on "virus", but Toriyama misinterpreted this and assumed it was a "beer" pun, which he then continued with Whis (whiskey). Later gods of destruction followed the alcohol theme in Dragon Ball Super.
I mean they also called it Dragon Ball Z Super and referred to the collective IP as Dragon Ball Z, so they weren't on point with that particular question, but also this episode came out a long while ago so this doesn't matter

I know it is old but would like to point out a couple of things. Not all Namekians are named after instruments or snail even though the majority of ones we come across are there are still a couple named in reference to other things.

Nail comes from "snail", Slug is, well, "slug", Dende comes from "denden-mushi", which means "snail", Katas and Moori also come from a Japanese word for "snail", and Kami and Guru technically don't have names that we ever learn, only titles. Monaito is technically named after a cephalopod, rather than a gastropod, but ammonites are _very_ snail-like. I mean, there's, Naraku, but I'm pretty sure he didn't exist yet, when this episode aired.

Um, actually C-3PO was built by Anakin from spare parts meaning that the droid that is C-3PO did not exist prior to that. Plus, Legends isn't Canon.
The “draw the creature” section of this episode has a really nice foreground-midground-background depth that we don’t usually get from these episodes, and honestly it was nice.
The “Shiny Questions” bit with the Star Wars props also has some moments of this. MORE DEPTH. MORE OF THIS PLEASE.

@@Chubarrk But they are, they were exiled and settled on Shakuris but always considered Aiur to be their homeworld. Depending on the timeline though, its debatable whether dark templars are part of the protoss army.

Um actually, Aragorn had the sword before it was reforged and he named it to Anduril. He carries around the broken shards and actually uses it while it's broken. In the movie, however, he gets it back reforged before the battle in the ROTK.

I second the suggestion to watch Drawfee. Caldwell isn't on it anymore (except as a guest), but his successors are just as hilarious! Also look up Drawga. It's a DnD-esq drawing challenge series on TH-cam

Um actually, the point in the timeline when the StarCraft question takes place is important because the armies of the Protoss were no longer vast when the Dark Templar were added to the ranks of the Protoss because the Zerg invaded and took over the Protoss homeworld of Aiur, driving the Protoss to the equivalent of an endangered species and greatly reducing the size of their armies (in the lore at least).
I was about to comment that too, I whink it isn't only in the lore but the game, too. Aside from the Zealot they have a lot of bots (which don't require a pilot) and most units are more quality than quantity. - Zerg and Terran have more Units with a quantity style.

While I suppose it might make a bit of sense to read the statement that way, the initial sentence serves to list current tenants of Diagon Alley, while the second refers to a specific event which happened at one of those locations.

I haven't read the book in a while, but Um, Actually, Peter is the only one who goes on to lead as the Hegemon, Valentine goes off to a colony planet with Ender.
Furthermore Peter can only swing the position of Hegemon from his reputation as Locke, which at that time was basically a figurehead. He only obtains true power through military action lead by Bean (though not a coup).
It's really a lot of fun to have a show of this style where I actually know a lot of the subjects.
The theming is also brilliant.
Um, actually, Valentine moves with Ender to the colonies after Peter becomes Hegemon of Earth because she's disgusted by his behavior.
@@DecisionAvoidant Um, actually, Valentine didn't play a pivotal role in the Hegemony outside of her writings, unlike Peter did as Hegemon, and I wrongly misunderstood the question as implying she held a true position in the Hegemony as a political leader as opposed to a philisophical one. Still a great series, though, I absolutely loved Speaker for the Dead!
The sad thing is: I knew what the Gungan weapon was, I just always forget the name of it. (Though the phaser stood out to me like a sore thumb.)

Um Actually, I'm pretty sure the manticore has the head (face) of a man, the body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion. If it's D&D, it also has wings, but I'm not sure they're part of the original myth. As a D&D nerd, however, I definitely would have drawn it with wings. Hahaha!
Um, Actually, in D&D they don't have a scorpion tail - they have a spiked tail that shoots the spikes as a ranged attack.

Um, actually, manticores are not always depicted with wings. The more common feature is having the face/head of a human on the lion body

Okay, to be fair, in Ender’s Game, Peter does end up technically in power as far as we know in the end, but they expand on his journey to actually gain power and real influence as a leader in the ender’s shadow series which is a spin-off following Bean, who was in the first book

Um Actually, Anakin did indeed build C-3PO out of spare parts gathered at Watto’s junk shop he found a mostly deconstructed protocol droid and rebuilt and programmed it so one could say that the personality and everything that makes the droid tick was built by Anakin!
Um actually, the dark templar homeworld is Shakuras. While the Nerazim originated on Aiur, they were exiled for refusing to submit to the Khala and they severed their nerve cords. They ultimately settled on Shakuras which is where the Dark Templar as of Starcraft come from, not Aiur.
Um actually, the Nezarim don't exist. You meant the Nerazim.

Um, actually... I'm not sure "vast" is an accurate adjective for a Protoss army. Their units are expensive to build and their armies are tiny compared to those of the Terran and Zerg.
Um actually their “homeworld” would still be Aiur just like the Terrans homeworld would be, uhh, Terra. And while the ‘toss armies are smaller than the Zerg or Terran, they are still one of the three dominant species of the Koprulu sector, so they’re only not vast as compared to the other two. But there are other sentient species (even besides the Xel’naga) and presumably the Protoss armies dwarf them, given their (self-appointed) status as “stewards.”

Um, actually, traditional mythological manticores did not have wings. It's more recent fantasy adaptations that have wings.
Um actually, Trapp DID pronounce Saiyan correctly. They are only called Say-ans in the US and Canadian dubs of the show, in most other adaptations they are pronounced like "Cyans" because that's how the original Japanese is pronounced.
