IMO the movie is mid, as a horror movie it kinda flops because of the age of the target audience. For me it felt like a last ditch effort to actually finish it (cus it started it's development somewhen around FNAF 3 came out). Maybe the fact that I'm so used to FNAF's non-mainline content to have some game related LOOORE sprinkled around keeps me from enjoying it as just a game movie or maybe next installments will actually tie in nicely with the games and i will have a complete 180 of my opinion

Honestly I wouldn't say the FNAF movie was bad, but it was really weird in places and the story kinda took a weird route. It was cheesy and campy in a good way though so as long as you dont take it super seriously. Legit I got more scared by the Balloon Boy scarecams that were in the movie, along with everyone else in the theater
the random garry's mod clips interspliced into the sponsor segment are such a clever idea and so hilarious that i really wish i would've/could've thought of that on my own first
