I'm watching this video at least once a week right now because I'm learning to be a better sniper in another game, and we have an important tournament coming up in a couple of months. It feels like I'm going through that emotional journey, it's frustrating and despite the evidence to the contrary, I feel like I'm not improving at all. I've even caught myself thinking "I'm the worst person to have ever played this game". I figured out what I love about Lazy's animations and why im constantly coming back to them. Not only are they super relatable but absolutely hilarious. Theyre also wicked snappy. A lot of people focus too much on making the animation smooth that it can come across as unnatural, but the snappy animation adds so much to the comedy.
The advice about relaxing and letting the enemies walk into your shot sprung me into being a good sniper in less than a week of playing the class. I've even gotten a few compliments from teammates for getting some good shots. Oh yeah, and the fact I was using my brother's account cuz my computer broke also kickstarted this journey to getting good at sniper with sidegrades and all, but still!

Lazy has to choose a piece of music then model a scene after it, looking at of his intros for the how it feels series. He chooses the best music for every scene in his videos. It’s truly impressive and shows how much lazy works on these videos, and I refuse to let the simplest things be even slightly taken for granted. All of his intros for these videos are so carefully created and well made, and no matter how many times someone says that, it’s still just as impressive, regardless if it’s new or old. Lazy is an amazing creator.

It's one of the most common classes people cheat with tho. In a couple hours of gameplay I ran into 3 snipers with aimbot and 'wallhack' Or however they call it when you can see invis spies. But eh, that was casual so I guess a lot more common.

You forgot to mention about you being the only Sniper on your team and then suddenly, 4 Snipers randomly appear on your team that will most likely cost your team the game. Also, I’ve always been using the ‘Guitar Hero’ method when playing Sniper for some time now and that’s all thanks to Jerma and his old Sniper Guide that’s still relevant to this day. God I miss Jerma’s TF2 Content.

Honestly the best way to get head shots is to force yourself to use the hitmans heatmaker. I just recently recocered from machina body shots, and i think this is the best way to get head shots

This video is why I main sniper now. The advice about relaxing into your shots was enough by itself to raise me to the skill floor required to play him without being a total failure. Good sniping puts you into a sort of zen or flow state where you don't care about being good, you just are. It's calming.

It's been two years since I made this comment, and this advice has aged like a fine wine. (Actually I'm not a fan of wine so it aged like a vintage piano.) I've chilled out a lot in the past two years, and boy does it make a difference in how much I enjoy playing sniper.

I know I'm approaching 2 years late to this, but I'm putting my two cents in anyways. At around 4:50 it looks like you're trying to use the tracking method of aiming, which is the 'standard' IRL sniper method of aim. The method you're describing at ~6:20 is called ambush aiming, which is normally used while prone and unable to move the weapon you're using much. At 6:52 you show what I've heard called 'flicking' which is something that only works in video games, since, you know, a 30 pound weapon system doesn't exactly handle quick movements well. Awesome video though.

Looking back at so many minor details that I just love. Like how at 8:00 in for the sniper just shooting and not doing anything he keeps flicking his gun last minute in poor aim. Or at 3:51 there's those ammo boxes that enemies typically drop and one just plops.

The advice about relaxing and letting the enemies walk into your shot sprung me into being a good sniper in less than a week of playing the class. I've even gotten a few compliments from teammates for getting some good shots. Oh yeah, and the fact I was using my brother's account cuz my computer broke also kickstarted this journey to getting good at sniper with sidegrades and all, but still!

this is my favorite episode of "how it feels" because of how much it just calms you down with an equal amount of humor
Lazy has to choose a piece of music then model a scene after it, looking at of his intros for the how it feels series. He chooses the best music for every scene in his videos. It’s truly impressive and shows how much lazy works on these videos, and I refuse to let the simplest things be even slightly taken for granted. All of his intros for these videos are so carefully created and well made, and no matter how many times someone says that, it’s still just as impressive, regardless if it’s new or old. Lazy is an amazing creator.

In a couple hours of gameplay I ran into 3 snipers with aimbot and 'wallhack' Or however they call it when you can see invis spies. But eh, that was casual so I guess a lot more common.

Also, I’ve always been using the ‘Guitar Hero’ method when playing Sniper for some time now and that’s all thanks to Jerma and his old Sniper Guide that’s still relevant to this day. God I miss Jerma’s TF2 Content.

This video is why I main sniper now. The advice about relaxing into your shots was enough by itself to raise me to the skill floor required to play him without being a total failure. Good sniping puts you into a sort of zen or flow state where you don't care about being good, you just are. It's calming.

It's been two years since I made this comment, and this advice has aged like a fine wine. (Actually I'm not a fan of wine so it aged like a vintage piano.) I've chilled out a lot in the past two years, and boy does it make a difference in how much I enjoy playing sniper.

My favorite class is soldier and my brother's is scout and he plays Minecraft a bit more what a coincidence.
This and the Extras were the reason i subbed to you, these animated clips for so simple things, wow, this is really Good work.

I know I'm approaching 2 years late to this, but I'm putting my two cents in anyways.
At around 4:50 it looks like you're trying to use the tracking method of aiming, which is the 'standard' IRL sniper method of aim.
The method you're describing at ~6:20 is called ambush aiming, which is normally used while prone and unable to move the weapon you're using much.
At 6:52 you show what I've heard called 'flicking' which is something that only works in video games, since, you know, a 30 pound weapon system doesn't exactly handle quick movements well.

Looking back at so many minor details that I just love. Like how at 8:00 in for the sniper just shooting and not doing anything he keeps flicking his gun last minute in poor aim. Or at 3:51 there's those ammo boxes that enemies typically drop and one just plops.

I thank you for posting this video to TH-cam, it is one of the very good videos i've watched and i've taken notes to your strategy on how to play sniper, it has made my aim greatly improved. It also motivated me to play as the sniper more often. Your strategies are very great despite it's simplicity. your take on playing the sniper is amazing. i used to have 21 hours played on sniper but now it's increased 4 fold.
