As a kid I got to help my father and great uncle Wilson saw lumber on Wilson’s old Frick mill. I helped off bear and at the time I was probably not thrilled to be doing that. Now as a 60 year old man I’m grateful I had that time with my dad and my great uncle Wilson. The sawmill is still there and Uncle Wilson’s son owns it.
My mom, grandmother, grandfather and two uncles were the 'barn building Wilson's' of Southeastern Michigan. I carried on the family's buiding tradition until retiring in 2011. I still own and operate a circle sawmill in retirement.
The circle saw is the best to me. And please!! Someone with connections to Wrangler get Brittney a Wrangler sponsorship!!! Their jeans never looked better as they do on her & she epitomizes the work ethics of their brand..
Tyler I see why you're a circle mill guy. The cadence of running the mill, its rhythm, and the sweet song of that Detroit in the background is wonderful. Plus, no mill puts a prettier blade pattern on lumber than a circle mill.
I love that circle saw! Worked at a mill part time while in school and it was a circle saw. The operator was peg-legged from an accident on the blade, but was brave enough to climb back on after his recovery! Keep up the good work! Ms "W" did great narrating at the beginning!
Awesome watching the old mill still doing the job for y’all. Just because it’s old doesn’t me it’s time to “put it out to pasture.” That includes people. A little TLC goes a long way. ❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏🙌🙌🙌🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍
Tyler have ever done a video of how the belts run, route to move the carriage back and forth? Ithe first video I ever watched of yours was on that saw. Been intrigued ever since. Love the videos and always look forward to Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
well, I think you will have the Ortomatick tip simile or the same as the one you have but not the same as the one you already have wood-miser 40. I would love to see more work done on your dad's old mill it great seeing to new stuff butt I like the old stuff just as much.
I hope you get a Woodmizer LT 70. I would like to comment I really enjoyed your full video using the old Saw. Watching you operate the belts and Shaft Drive, I was impressed how accurate the Saw works. It is fast cutting. Yes the new Saws are easy and accurate but I really like the old Girl as backup! 🇨🇦
I really enjoy watching Mark Galicic sitting in the comfort of his Edmiston sawmill cab. But yours is a much more hands-on and your assistant is much prettier than any of his.
This video brings back memories of sawmilling lumber with the brothers and dad. I help cut and build 4 houses with a circular saw when I was a younger man. I appreciate bandsaws for the far less waste from the blade. I figure the waste/sawdust on a circular blade was around 20 percent over a bandsaw. This translates to a free board on every 5th cut and that adds up quickly.
For safety sake hinge about 3 ft of the inside rail so that you don't have to step over it especially toward the saw blade. You can pour a 1'x4'x4" slab for extra support. Have fun and stay safe!
Wow that was an awesome video well done man that old saw really works great love watching it perform and sounds amazing thank you for sharing I’m gonna guess that it’s a wood miser XL 70 all automatic Their awesome you will love it anyway thanks again have a wonderful day take care god bless ❤❤❤❤❤ until next time …………
Hey im thinking again. I would consider seriously moving there and put an rv on your farm and helping you out building!! I can fab greenchain, outfeed with side sweeps and out-feed conveyor ! You needcan outfeed conveyor to let lumber move to piles without handling! And!!! The slabs can just go off the end and drop into a rack. With zero handling!! Edger boards can go straight on rolls to edger! Brittney can now edge as you mill!! Easily!! And boards can build on out-feed abd no rush to pile as it would hold at least 50 boards !! Scrap yards have all this steel to build cheap ! Think about that ok.
Would like to see a modern circle mill powered by a Cummins diesel . Fully auto log turning the whole 9 yards ! With a booth to operate from . Buttttt , sorry to say your next new mill will be a band version instead . But that is ok . Band mills are very interesting to watch too . Efficient and fast also . What ever the name and model , I will be honored to watch Britney and you operate it . God bless …ed
No, for their sake! I have a Harbor Freight Central Machinery sawmill, and it's a nightmare! It can't even run on the track without derailing sometimes, because of the sawdust building up in the wheels. Just recently, a blade guide broke - it seems to have been made of cast iron. Having a WoodMizer sawmill would be a dream come true!
Alm you need is a big diesel generator or400 amps from power line and go electric motors , 20’ powered log deck, 24’ greenchain outfeed rolls with 90deg sweeps !! Let all slabs go to end of greenchain into a rack!! Chop slabs into firewood in the catchment rack !!!boom boom done
I love the sound of those old circle sawmills. The two of you work so well together. It's great to see. Can't wait to see what you've chosen for a band mill.
Loosen those little screws just enough so you can wind that spring a little tighter on that logging tape then tighten back after winding it back up tighter.. Easy peasy
I originally guessed a Woodmizer LT 50 Wide with de-barker but I don’t think I was the only person who guessed that? In addition several people guessed a Woodmizer LT 70 Wide and so I beginning to think you’re switching brands? Cooks AC 36 or Timber Buddy XP-380 could be in the works and so now I’m totally confused. I hope your new mill comes in next week and then we’ll all know.
The sound of that blade coming up to speed...then the log hitting the blade. Beautiful!

Woodmizer LT70, from what I see on TH-cam, it is # 1 ,so why not you guys deserve it ,job well done
The circle saw is the best to me. And please!! Someone with connections to Wrangler get Brittney a Wrangler sponsorship!!! Their jeans never looked better as they do on her & she epitomizes the work ethics of their brand..
Doest look like the sawdust collection. is working
@@MichaelGriffin-fl4qm They never clean up sawdust any way so why bother turning it on.
@@BrianSmith-yn2zg it has t o go somewhere
Always have been a fan of the circle mill
Tyler I see why you're a circle mill guy. The cadence of running the mill, its rhythm, and the sweet song of that Detroit in the background is wonderful. Plus, no mill puts a prettier blade pattern on lumber than a circle mill.
All agreed!
Great to see the old mill running
Love that old mill!

We've had a lot of fun with this one!

It still has a lot of life left in her!
Love the old circle mills. My first sawmill job.
They really are something special.

Always great to see the old mill running 😊 Can't wait to see what the new mill is going to be.

Your right. It definitely isn’t as efficient!
Hi from Kelowna BC Canada i Love the old circle mill! My buddy has one !!!!Why do you need another new mill. Upgrade this one!!
We like having both!
@ i guess
My guess would be LT seventy,wide,25hp, Diesel, hydraulic package, Remote controls. That’s what I’d like to see you get. God bless stay safe🇨🇦✌️
I find watching you two cutting lumber with the circular saw is vary relaxing.
It is pretty soothing to watch the old mill run!
Harbor freight sawmill.
Cheers from the great state of Arkansas!!
That is a great video. love to watch you run the circle mill !
WOOD MIZER LT70. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
Great video . Lt 50 with all the bells and whistles
For safety sake hinge about 3 ft of the inside rail so that you don't have to step over it especially toward the saw blade. You can pour a 1'x4'x4" slab for extra support. Have fun and stay safe!
Another great video from cold cold Michigan!!!!
The circle mill is so much more work than the fully hydraulic mill. Takes 2-3 people to run it. Fun sawing though.
Timberking 2220 Fully Hydraulic
Nice footage y'all! Grew up around these and got to see it operating from both ends and sides! 🤔😂 Y'all make a great team!
It takes a team to get things done! Thanks for watching!
Good eye for your first slab cut on the second log!
A lasar couldn't have done better.
Takes a lot of experience!
Wow that was an awesome video well done man that old saw really works great love watching it perform and sounds amazing thank you for sharing
I’m gonna guess that it’s a wood miser XL 70 all automatic

That circle saw is fast.
Excellent job thank you for sharing.👍
Camera riding on the carrage
Very good!
Thanks!
Tyler and Brittney, I think it’s a nz mahoe super mill or a f16 raptor.. if 3 is a charm, a new hand saw. lol
Detroit 3-71, I've been waiting for you to answer that. Thanks
Love your videos good way to chill out.
Thanks, we’re glad you enjoy them!
Snowed here yesterday and its cold as whizz. Chiller Killer time.
You can get parts for that tape at us tape or west coast saw

Thanks for watching along in all we do!
I loved your music selection. I loved hearing “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms”. I also suspect you are getting a Woodmizer 70 series diesel sawmill.
We run an old Belsaw m14 and an Ireland. Your saw is awesome! Keep it up
Thanks! Those are great mills!
Hi guys,my guess is a Woodland Mill, cheers for now and keep up the great work xxxx
woodmizer LT70wide super with diesal engine
Woodmizer LT 70 with log deck
Looks like you still need to fix the drag chain. nice looking lumber coming off those logs.
Correct!
I like the circle mill too.....off beard off one for a while....stacking 6x8 cross ties is a pretty good work out!
It definitely takes a lot of sweat to stack those big timbers!
A Harbor Freight Central Machinery sawmill with 301cc engine! 😇😇😇

@ everyone else guessing high end so I guess low end!
Wood-Mizer LT50👍👍
We had a 671N on granddaddy’s old circle mill. Can’t beat a Detroit for reliability
I'm for the Woodmizer LX150
Gas motor
Alm you need is a big diesel generator or400 amps from power line and go electric motors , 20’ powered log deck, 24’ greenchain outfeed rolls with 90deg sweeps !! Let all slabs go to end of greenchain into a rack!! Chop slabs into firewood in the catchment rack !!!boom boom done
Sounds nice . Where Tyler is located , fire wood does not sell very well . Now in western pa where I live , fire wood sells real well .
@ haul it
Good stuff. Love that saw!!
Thanks!
I think your new saw is TimberKing 2520
I really like like your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, will do!
You getting another
Nice old mill. Tyler you run well . The motor is special. It runs the circle mill. You get paid to take care of your family . SEEYA
I'm going with the LT 70 Wide Super diesel.
LT 50 from Mississippi
LT70 Super hydraulic
I love the sound of those old circle sawmills. The two of you work so well together. It's great to see. Can't wait to see what you've chosen for a band mill.
It’s a Big TimberKing 4 post head and their factory is close to you
Lt40 super 38 kohler with the control station.
Norwood next step up from the 40.
Which sawmill will be faster, this circular one or your new one?
Hmmmm that might give to much away lol
Time stamp 14:42 you had log vibration at the beginning and midway through that cut. Doggies down and tight.
what is the kerf on that?
Band saws are cute...but really just a toy...
Circle mills are beautiful...
They're the real Mc Coy...👍
Great video! I think y’all are getting the WoodMizer LT70 super hydraulic
new sawmill my guess is...LT70 wide with plank return, and debarker
Loosen those little screws just enough so you can wind that spring a little tighter on that logging tape then tighten back after winding it back up tighter.. Easy peasy
i
have ordered a lt 70
LT 70 wide hydraulic sawmill from Woodmizer
timber king 2020
Wood mizer LT70 would be great upgrade same as outofthewoods in Tennessee uses
Wood-Mizer LX 450. Fully loaded ,, Debarker and material table with a set of roller
Thinking the Cooks HD3238 mill!
The that guessed right should get a hat.
I think it's a Blue Baker mill
Woodmizer LT70 ! ! !
I’m gona say a LT 50 Wood-Miser. Hydraulic. ✌️
Wood mizer LT70 full hydraulic
I originally guessed a Woodmizer LT 50 Wide with de-barker but I don’t think I was the only person who guessed that? Timberking 2020
Have you ever considered closing in that old mill or part of it?
Woodmizer lt70 wide with debarker
LT 80 is my guess 🇺🇸🙏🏻👍😁
