Loving your videos. I picked up a ‘23 Pan Am Special. I LOVE it. I ride a lot of gravel and the bike is so well planted and so much fun to ride.
Side note: I put on the larger Jiffy stand from HD. it’s much better than stock. Doesn’t sink down into wet, soft ground. It’s a cheap accessory as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Oh dude! Thank you and I’ll definitely check that out. It takes the focus out of my riding sometimes when I’m fixated on where TF to turn around lol much appreciated and ride safe!

I need to do more off road as well...thinking of upgrading my tires to a more aggressive tread...it will definitely give you more confidence off road.

@@BigBlack_PanAm I agree to a certain extent. I was literally on the same that scared the shit out of me when I first started and now it’s easy and I haven’t upgraded the tires. Taking my time and learning basics. Once I’m ready for that long trip through craziness, then I should be ready to swap tires anyway.

Just started watching your vids and I love them. I have a 22 Pan Am, I’ve dropped it more times than I like to admit, I’m only 5’7. Most of the issues have been because of me 😂

Haha thanks man! I really appreciate the feedback, and I’ve definitely “almost” dropped it more than I’d like to admit lol ride safe!

Sounds like ya have to use the center stand on that thing. How ya liking it? How's the power? The whole adventure bike thing took off with the Honda Africa Twin way back. In fact, the breed gets it's name from the time Honda started to put 'Adventure' badging on the twins. I started out on a 1979 YZ125 back in the day. Learned a lot on that bike. I woulda tried to go off road and turn around that way on that Panny. As for 'real' Harleys. I kinda feel like the Sportster was the last real Harley. Last Evo bike. And even then, I sort of lean towards the carbed versions due to the sound and feel. EFI and M8's brought Harley into modern times, but a lot of that visceral Harley nature has been lost. Problem for me is modernity is not the reason I bought a Harley... :( Thanks for this. Don't be afraid to ramble on and stretch out the vids. Part of why people watch is they can't be out there with you otherwise. Keep riding and putting out content. Join a riding group if you can. Enjoy yourself. Be safe!

Wow thanks for that knowledge, man. I had no idea about the AT adventure badging revolution lol but that’s such a Honda thing to do. I really love my 2016 Sportster. Still sounds great and has a classic look. I’ll always keep that thing in the garage even if I just look at it lol. Thank you for watching and the wisdom. Ride safe brother 🤘🇺🇸

Riding off road is a whole another animal. Got kind of good with it on my KLR but I’m not going to take my Pan American off road for quite a while. I’m just using it as a sport tourer.

I’ll definitely favor the tarmac over dirt lol but going off road is a thrill every single time. It’s a new experience and I’m all in with getting better! Having a blast so far and don’t intend on stopping. Ride safe!

Great video ,I have a 22 with over 20,000 miles on it. It’s a love, hate relationship! It is one of my favorite motorcycle that I’ve ever owned. The main issue I’m having is the fuel pump screeching and making a grinding noise! I’ve had 4 fuel pump replaced under warranty in the first year,it’s now on the 5th time.
It’s also a know issue and I wish Harley Davidson would recall the fuel pump. Still one of my favorites though…

Whoa, man! I hope mine stays strong lol I have a love hate relationship with it for other reasons like being extremely heavy (while in off road conditions). But it’s totally my fault for learning how to ride a dirt bike on a 1250cc… Harley needs to get right with it’s customers and fix these issues permanently with new pumps that won’t take a shit every so often. Warranties are cool and all but so inconvenient when it’s riding season. Thanks for the feedback and best of luck!!

I had mine also replaced. Now is fine. I fuel only premium fuel, and the balance of the ignition and combustion is perfect. I can recommend a tuning for lower heat generation and smother power delivery. It is the biggest and greatest warhorse you can get. Not a shining plastic insect. Rough, powerful, long range tomahawk. have already 50k km on the clock.

You should be sitting on the bike when you turn it on
It's moving because it's adjusting the preload. If you're not on it, it won't be firm enough

Did you look at any other manufactures adventure bikes? BMW/KTM etc before going with the HD PA?

    • @Louie_Ponce_Motography
      @Louie_Ponce_Motography  หลายเดือนก่อน

@@usmcshepherdE9 I literally looked at ALL of them lol. I believe I would be happy with any of those others tbh. The Panam just has the adaptive ride height and I am challenged in that respect lol. I’ve always liked the Harley brand, but not annoying fanboy about it. I had a Suzuki GSXR 600 before this

    Great bro.
I've had all the others and the Pan Am is a real world capable bike, the others are just modern versions of 50s bikes that are I'll handling, slow and to heavy ❤
I have the Pan Am and a Kawi H2 now....those macho men village people boys can't keep up lol!
