    I like the guy telling people to stop testing while standing in front of a sign that says “early treatment saves lives”. How do you get early treatment if you don’t test to see if you have it?

      @@priapulida so hypothetically… let’s say you had a fever and cough and you think it’s just have a cold or flu so you don’t get tested. Now a few days go bye and you get worse so now you get tested and it’s Covid. But it’s too late for those early treatments to be effective on you. What are you going to do then Einstein?

    • @AhavaMath
      @AhavaMath 3 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@jonathanroark7114 But that's working under the assumption that you know you have covid, which you can't know without testing.
      If a person comes into the hospital because they are sick and have a fever, there is a wide range of illnesses they could have. Testing helps to exclude, narrow-down, or determine what someone has so that they can be properly treated.
      Bacterial vs viral illness have very different treatments for example. Just as an example, if someone has pneumonia, that can be caused by both bacteria and viruses, so it's important to know which it is.
      If it's a virus, which is it? If it's bacteria, is it gram positive/negative? Is it an anaerobe/aerobe? etc, etc.
      You can't say that we're only talking about covid, because a person who is suddenly feeling ill doesn't know with certainty that covid is the thing they are sick with. That's the whole point of testing them. Once they know it's covid, then they can get the proper treatment.

      Vaccines do very little as we now see, as everyone is catching Omicron.
      Omicron is contagious but weak, this pandemic is over once Delta has completely left the stage. Look at the data and the science and stop being afraid.
      Get sick. Get immune. The disease is described as a common cold. Stop blaming this virus on each other. This is not a right vs left thing.
      Sadly about this issue Ronny has the right idea. But the zealousness of the left to get everyone vaccinated, while hiding and censoring the risks involved I can never accept. So many rights sacrificed in the process. Even ones that the left advocates for with vigor, such as the right what happens to our bodies is now under threat. As a lefty a police state scares the fck out of me. Much more then numbnut racist right wingers.

    Stephen, please note that students and parents are not the only ones affected by the outbreaks in schools resulting in switching to virtual learning; so are educators. We are also frequently given only hours’ notice to pivot entire curricula to virtual, often with little support from our school districts, and after having, at best, risked our health every day in those same schools or, for tens of thousands, after contracting covid from work. Many educators also have children who they are having trouble caring for because they have had to isolate from their own children to avoid giving them the Covid that they caught from the children they work with.

    • @Gigator
      @Gigator 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Not to sound like a meanie, but you are just desribing most jobs during covid times. Many people contracted covid at work. Many people couldn't work from home like teachers during the first lockdowns could. Many people had to learn new things and techniques to deal with covid at work. And other people have children as well and can't watch after them at home like a teacher who does online teaching can. At least in Germany, teachers had it pretty cozy so far, especially compared to "necessary workers" in the health, food and manufacturing industries.

      Tbf that's just in line with the line of thinking promoted by Christianity throughout history; something new?, not in my church! When the fork was invented or at least started to get common the Church threw a hissy fit that God had already given us 5 natural forks on each hand, our fingers, but people enjoyed not getting their hands greasy too much to care, also for the rich folk it was further separation from the peasants who didn't care to spend that kind of money on cutlery. And that was still nothing compared to the tantrum they threw when the number zero (0) was brought over from India and revolutionized mathematics in Europe, because God's creation couldn't be reduced to nothing (and since it was the Muslim who brought it over I'm pretty sure racism also played a part there). Plenty of Christian scholars also complained that the invention of the printing press would make people stupid since they'd no longer have to practice their memory (and conveniently forgot to mention that churches had the highest amount of books than any other institution by then, nevermind private individuals). You don't see them mentioning these woopsies nowadays, do ya?
