in my opinion this was one of the biggest kpop comebacks, they not only brought this concept but they interpreted everything in a perfectly artistic way, gidle is becoming a very big group, i believe they are becoming one of the biggest kpop groups, both artistically and fame

Shuhua’s decision to bleach her hair shocked many, including her members
Shuhua’s transformation was particularly of attention. Prior to this comeback, the idol expressed she did not like wearing revealing clothes nor dying or bleaching her hair. However, after listening to Soyeon’s detailed explanation of the concept, Shuhua went with it after 2 to 3 days of thinking through.
Members were moved, especially Minnie: “We had dinner after the concert, Shuhua told me she was going to bleach her hair. I cried”. Shuhua comically mimicked Minnie’s expressions: “What? Shuhua is going to bleach her hair?”.

I’m quite sad they didn’t talk about the song itself and the meaning behind it, since it’s got such a meaningful message. ‘I was born nude, you’ve just got a dirty mind’ it talks about the sexualization of women not only in K-Pop but in our day to day life. Basically saying ‘no matter how I dress and what I do, you’re in the wrong for sexualizing me’ and that’s just… queen behavior. The whole message I just *Chefs Kiss*

Soyeon's 2nd rap is sooooo fucking good in Korean. Translation definitely loses a lot of context.
She mixes in a lot of honorific speech while saying "if you were expecting a perverted show" (she intentionally uses a slightly outdated word for perverted here because it sounds similar to the word for porn) + "I'm sorry but we don't have that kind of shit here" 😂 + essentially telling them to fuck off (the sentiment is a lot stronger in Korean when she tells them to go get a refund) 😂😂. The honorific themselves amplify the sarcasm in these lines, and it's just *perfect*.

I love the song. Literally everything about it is so well done! Especially the meaning of the song, it’s very risky for a girl group to produce a song with the meaning that a woman’s body is not an object but Gidle did that. Also, cube literally used google translate to translate the mv… the actual lyrics are so much more powerful!
Shuhua literally grown and evolved so much in a limited amount of time. I know she used soojin’s energy from oh my god by dyeing her hair blonde. It’s a 10/10. She CARRIED this cb so much. THE LIVE IS A THOUSAND TIME BETTER from her voice to her expression. It’s mesmerizing. She’s a tottaly different woman even from Tomboy. She was eating but stayed in the « back » now she said. One of my favorite comebacks by them and their creativity is nearing the top of the business. I think this was one of their quickest to 50M views, which is awesome because they always deliver and leave a powerful message than a lot of the industry and fans could learn from.
I love this video..shuhua indeed killed this mv so everybody else but its the first time she got appreciated for that and i am so happy cause i love her since day 1.. soojin was my bias in gidle and since she is been gone I haven't picked an other bias i just love them all equally and support them all

we love everything in Nxde era but something that standout more is the message that this song carry. It’s such a beautiful message and embodied in such a beautiful music video. That’s why I adore I-dle so much because they’re very brave to came out with songs that have sensitive message in it (at least in korea) . We love I-dle so much!

This is a masterpiece in every aspect of it.💯 Parts of the melodies get stuck in your head after a few listenings and you realize how artfully this song was written.
The problem that some people might have with it after listening just once is, that this is not at all your ususal k-pop banger.
It's like when you ordered a cupcake in a restaurant and you get a Beef Wellington... First you are surprised, maybe disappointed, but then after a few bites you realize it's the best Beef Wellington you ever had and you will love it....
Apt description. Personally I liked it right out the gate but I do understand that it takes time for other people.
Some songs don't click at all ever for some people, other songs take years to click, some songs take a few listens over a few weeks and it's relatively few songs that hit INSTANTLY.
Take some more time and appreciate the lyrics, the message, and shout out to Soojin, very nice reaction

The first time I watched this my jaw was just dropped I was legit SPEECHLESS, THEY ALL ARE SO STUNNING- the only thing missing is Soojin (she would've ate, hatred CUBE- and now learning that she loves Marilyn Monroe so much makes it even worse, but I did hear that the cartoon was supposed to be her?) I legit don't know who looked best they all killed it and when I saw our Maknae Shuhua my heart stopped I needed CPR because WOW she looked PHENOMENAL and her Vocals have improved so much just stunning, Soyeon always just WOW she can step on me and when she started taking off her shirt I was just even more stunned, Minnie ATE her vocals holy cow and just her whole look I just love everything about it and her bangs just UGH, Miyeon is so underrated HOLY COW her Vocals always hit me like a truck and her Visuals- (WHY DO THEY ALL LOOK SO GOOD IN BLONDE) just everything, and Yuqi with the blonde and her DEEP voice AND HER GROWL she can step on me and I'd say Thank You! In tomboy, when they open the trunk, six balloons come out. As well as Seoyeon's rap about cigarettes and cussing is in reference to some of the controversies surrounding Soojin. It really feels like they are gonna keep referencing her (Soojin). I dunno how to feel about that...
I will ALWAYS be OT6. I believe Soojin was absolutely railroaded over NOTHING.
She was TWELVE years old, HALF HER LIFE AGO, and acting out as pre-teens do. TRY to tell me that people can't grow and change from being children with a chip on their shoulders, into being responsible adults with successful careers. I bet you that NONE of those Execs who fired her or mishandled the case can honestly say they were 'perfect angels' at that age.
Soojin decided to come clean about exactly what she really was guilty of from back then and she defended herself about the actual bullying accusation.
That situation NEEDS to be talked about and those Execs need to be FIRED and have their entire careers and livelihoods RUINED, just like what they did to her. The difference is that there is real REASON to ruin every one of them. They have destroyed many careers in order to profit (CLC was disbanded for what reason? Profits. That's not the only group that Cube did that to) and Soojin's career was the biggest of the news but not the ONLY news. Soojin did not deserve any of this.
The very worst part is that some JEALOUS ASSHOLE managed to completely destroy a lifetime of work at honing skills for the Entertainment industry. This is an entire career gone up in smoke over just a SUGGESTION that Soojin MIGHT have been a bully. No proof whatsoever, just an accusation, which was redacted over a faulty memory because they were KIDS when it happened. But Soojin still got FIRED for it, just for an ACCUSATION. THINK about that. Think about it some more.

The other members do not talk about her or the case but that may be a legal issue, a gag order. The best they can do is give reference to her in their songs or MVs.
If she would give is just a squeak to let us know she is okay, she will be fine, just give her some space or whatever, it would be much better for everybody (the company, the group, the fans...). But there has been NOTHING from her personally for over a year.
There are rumors floating around on fan channels of course. We just plain do not know anything for certain, it's ALL guesswork because we have heard NOTHING from her. I worry.
I also feel great empathy for the other members. Soojin was integral to the group, the Main Dancer. Without her, the ladies took a year off to collect themselves and figure out how to proceed. Shuhua grew up and she is undoubtedly hurt by this. They were (hopefully still are) friends. That entire situation is just a lot to think about and I am nowhere near any actual involvement with it. I do realize that it is WEIRD that I am affected so much.
Ozlem, I am proud of you for flexing your I-Dle knowledge and appreciate you for seeing the Soojin references we all believe are there! Some people argue it's a representation of blondes in general, or Marilyn, but the placement of WHERE the mole is, is important. Minnie wears the mole in the same place as well. You are more than just a reactor when you show deeper understanding of the concept or subtext.
Thank you both for giving this group some love! Shuhua broke a lifetime tradition to support the concept, and we all benefitted from it!
I can't seem to edit, but I wanted to cross out 'blondes' and type 'stereotypes' instead. I mistyped.
Idle/Cube will never officially say that it's a reference to Soojin, and would likely say it's an animated amalgamation of Marilyn Monroe and other bombshells like Jessica Rabbit. But Idle is SO particular about the details in their videos. They know exactly what they're doing. Placing a mole in that specific spot is vague enough that the average viewer wouldn't think anything of it, but Nevies are going to definitely notice it... especially since it's well-known to Nevies that this comeback was inspired by Soojin's role model.
Ultimately, the identity of the animated blond doesn't change anything... but I'm confident it's an intentional, but quiet, nod to the Neverlands that still love and miss Soojin.

Personally, I adore this song. The entire message of this song in my mind speaks out about how women are seen as nude, or sexy, or lust demons etc. Women are seen very stereotypically as pleasure avatars yet this song, the entire ending verse.
"Why you think that about nude? Your view is so rude. Think outside the box! (Speak Out!)" then the ending line of "You've got the dirty mind."
It's very empowering to me hearing GI make a song about sexualization of women and kpop in general. Kpop idols and people are often sexualized and fetishized by their fandom, and seeing this song speak out about it too. There's also rumor this song is about their company as well, because they had experiences with non working AC for over a year and fridges not working. That is a rumor, but the "think outside the BOX then you'll like it" makes me think it is a nod to the company.
Over all this song is beautiful, and I listen to it very frequently.

And also i have a Korean friend that tell me some of kpop companies in south korea do something with their traine so when they debut they will receive so much fame. But she never told me which company because its illegal for them to told someone. And i respect it because her 언니 was also a trainee back then and her 언니 also been sexually assaulted by the company's CEO. And that's why my korean friend told me that's the dark side and also a secret of every kpop companies in their country.

I WISH I had NOT seen the spoilers from their channel, but I did... It REALLY SHOCKED me that Shuhua went Blonde, but then I heard part of that story.
Obviously she has always been more conservative and she has seen what coloring the hair does to the members and everything involved, so she did not want to try for multiple reasons. I respect her personal covictions.
I thought that somehow she got pushed into this. But then I found out, no.
It took her a little time to warm up to the idea but she finally came around because she liked Soyeon's vision for the MV and the sets and the whole story. She decided to do it on her own, like a real trooper boss baby. :)
Come to find out, NOT wanting to push Shuhua, Soyeon made other plans so that Shuhua did not have to go Blonde. They just would have done something different with the song, or maybe this song may never have seen the light of day...
