Slowly I turn, step by step, inch by inch,...Wow! what a treat to find your channel. This trip was wonderful. Thank you for showing us the most beautiful part of the US. Without you I would never have seen it, to know that this kind of place exists. Thank you for making my day. It was Awesome! Stay well, and please keep these trips online , available for those of us that cannot go exploring like you do. What a ride. Thank you.
Thank you for providing an honest viewpoint of some of the challenges when camping. As a previous Wrangler Rubicon JL owner, I appreciate how you don’t edit out the cabin noise. I think it is important for people to understand both the upside and downside to expensive purchases.
My family has been in Wyoming for generations and my grandfather ran a 15000 acre ranch. Nothing feels more like home than the mountains in Wyoming! The bugs depend on the year but the views never disappoint. I enjoyed this video very much.
Such an amazing place to be from, can’t help but be envious. Hearty people in one of the last remaining wild places in the US. We hope to get back to explore more someday! Thanks for watching!
I’ve lived in Wyoming for the last 4 years, and I love seeing the places I’ve yet to be. I can’t wait for summer to come again, so I can get back out there. Keep it up!
We’ve loved our trips into your state! Kind of jealous of the landscapes you have to explore. If you haven’t seen them, we have a few other videos from Wyoming you’d probably enjoy 😉. Thanks for watching!
@@SixOverland I definitely went and binged them today! Haha granted I didn’t dive super deep into all of your videos yet, but I’d love to know what you use to make them. Like equipment and what not. They look gorgeous!
Hey brother. Your visuals are superb, but I wanted to thank you for all the thought you put into your narration. It's beautiful and goes perfectly with the scenery. Well done.
You should check out the Gravelly Range drive in Montana sometime, start in Ennis, head south over a 2 wheel drive road that climbs to a bit above 9K with killer views, and come out in the Centennial Valley, and head west, back to I-15 eventually.
@@SixOverland went back and watched this again as I've been planing a big trip summer 2025 and planning to do some hiking and overlanding. Did you go in June or July? I'm thinking of August and hopefully the bugs won't be as bad. Some of the hiking research I've done for the Wind River Rage they don't seem to be as bad then. Thanks again man, this video was one of the inspirations for that part of my trip!
@@sonsoflibertyoverland Awesome! This was in early August. We’d been told that the snow/rain was unusually late for the area. Wish we could give you a better time window. Thanks again for stopping by and sounds like an awesome trip you’ve got planned!
Wow - what a beautiful spot. We were actually up that Moose/Gypsum Road last July in our stock 5th gen 4runner. It was raining, so we didn't make it to the end of the road like you did. I'm glad I came across your channel and could see what it was like all the way to the end. Now, we have to go back. haha Great video. Blessings to you all!
Just found you guys. I take 4 trips a year where rent a 4x4 and head put into the wilderness. Idaho, Montana and Utah are my go to states but this summer I'm headed to Pinedale Wyoming. Thanks for the video! I cant wait to get there!
That amazing backdrop for a wedding must have been incredible! Congratulations and so glad you didn’t have to contend with the bugs! We may have to adjust our calendar dates for the next time we venture into that area ;). Thanks for watching! God bless!
I'm moving here in a few months. I've never looked forward to anything so much in my entire life. I'm actually surprised I didn't ride by on my ATV during this video, I was out there in the upper Green during the same time frame-ish. The flies were just as bad during the summer of 22 as well when I was out there. I agree, they are almost unbearable!
I live in Wyoming and have to deal with the biting flies and mosquitos every time i go fishing on creeks and rivers. There was one time they completely left me alone, it was the day after I got my J&J Covid shot. It was uncanny the peace I felt that trip. Unfortunately I was again the target the next fishing trip.
What time of year is typically the best to go through that area? Would love to have both snow capped mountains and no bugs, but guessing that window is short.
This place is horrible, bugs are bad, bear and wolfs, extremely bad weather. No one should venture into such a place. It over simulates the senses. Leave you feeling sick. Stay at home not worth the headaches 😁
Excellent edit Grant. Really liked this one.
Thanks Will @Venture2Roam appreciate it and Thanks for watching!

Great as always. That spot looked like a painting.
It was surreal. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful views! If you don't like bugs, Then never go to Northern Manitoba CA. Black flies are the size of sparrows!
Great video!
Stay safe & GB!
Duly noted! Glad you enjoyed and thanks for watching! God Bless!
GReat video. Looks and sounds like a Wyoming dept. of Tourism video. I mean that as a compliment. Nice work.

Got married at Green River Lakes in August. There were a whole 5 other people there on a Thursday. Amazing!
And no bugs then!

Great video gang! Adding Wyoming on the long list of places to visit but man only thing I hate during summer camping is the amount of bugs.
Yeah, the bugs were obnoxious. But I’m sure there’s a better time of year to be there besides mid-late July. Thanks for watching!
It's worth it
Totally worth it!
@13:22 I think it is Gypsum Creek Road (FR 680). ...not 'canyon' road. I love it around there.
Looks like you’re correct. Beautiful area!
I'm watching the wind River episode. 😊
Thank you kindly! 🙏
Enjoyed your video. What time of year was this? Bugs can sure dampen a trip.
I believe this was late July. Thanks for watching!

What time of year was this? And what year? Thanks!
This was early August 2023. Thanks for watching!
What month was this ? When I was there we had no Bugs
This was mid to late July. We’ll have to go back another time for sure. Thanks for watching!
What were the dates on this trip?
This portion of our trip was in late July. Thanks for watching!
I appreciate the info! Love your channel. @@SixOverland
It was definitely one of our wettest years and worst bug years that I've seen in a while.

Nymph fish with a Caddis at the surface
We didn't have any luck, but it was still a lot of fun trying :)
You guys are really good at this. It reminds of American sportsman in the 60's kudo's give us more
@@ELmerC-ms4cg You’re too kind but thank you 🙏. We’ll do our best :)
That is one combination I didn’t try!
I didn't know i had a mountain named mcdougal
Yes sir! A series of three peaks in the Wyoming Range with the tallest standing at 10781 feet tall. Thanks for watching!
Very nicely done!
Cowboy voice, you should work in media😄. Other than your channel😉
You’re too kind. Humbled and appreciated. Thanks for watching!
Full of cutthroat and rainbows some brown's too. 😮
If only we had caught some lol 😂
No way I camp where there are that many bugs. Pack up and move on.
We stayed a couple days, but the bugs were too much. I’m sure a different time of year would’ve been perfect.
June- may still have snow in mountains.
July- Forest Service roads get graded.
August- bugs are gone
