    This is a Home Free original. It was written by Tim Foust, Chris Chatham & Darren Rust. I love it, but it "fooled" every reactor & even us loyal Home Fries! I love your reaction! 😍 I think it's one of the best reactions I've seen out of MANY! 😊 It makes us empathetic to those who've suffered the loss of loved ones, human & pets, but gives us a little joy at the end with his wife, not replacing his best friend of 18 years, but giving him a new fur baby to love to help fill that void! I've lost so many people & pets that my heart is so full of "holes" that I don't know how it still works, but life goes on & I'm thankful I still have my 2 sons & some of my rescued pets! Please pray for all those who lost their loved ones, pets & for some, everything they own in the tornadoes right here at Christmas.🙏 Merry Christmas to you & all the Home Fries! 🌟 🎶✨🎄

    It's nice that HOME FREE is showing the love we have for our pets.

    I normally have a more heartfelt reaction and I came into this with a lot of energy. We all have lost people and pets in our lives and I didn't mean to steer away from the emotional message of the song. If you've been here before this probably would have made me cry and almost did which is why the twist made me react this way. I don't mean any harm!

    For some people all they have is their fur babies…and to lose one, hurts really bad! Thanks Tim Foust for writing this song! What a wonderful message! I love Home Free😊

    You didn’t see how LONG he had that dog ‼️….18 YEARS is a LONG TIME to have that sweet animal…. VERY SAD 😢‼️. If you don’t have kids….that dog IS your FAMILY‼️.

    I believe that the real message in this was that the holiday season can be very difficult for many people that may have lost a family member, a close friend and yes even a pet that has become both family and friend. Check on your close ones that may be suffering 5his time of year.

    Austin has two rescue dogs, and a cat. Tim's dog occasionally travels with them on the road. Rob has a black lab. Not sure about Adam or Chance.
    They knew what they were doing to get our attention, and twist the heart, then ease the pain.
    Your reaction was your way to cope with the emotions from the song. Everyone has the right to handle it their own way. If others don't understand then sorry for them, that's their problem not yours.

    Awww....not a bad reaction! It's just the way it hit you!. I wasn't ready for the dog aspect either. They left you exactly the way it should have. Thinking about how things are different for other people. I think of my dad who is gone at some times, and then I lost my dog on December 5th, 2 years ago, the last picture I have of her was her in her bed under the christmas tree. They knew it was a sad song and a deep subject but they didn't want to be morbid. This is why we watch reactions everyone's opinion is different.

    The tongue-in-cheek aspect keeps it from being a total depressing (though beautiful) Christmas wallow. Not to say a good wallow isn't warranted now & then, but I love their heart. Plus, if you don’t (& never) know about or watch the video, all you do get is a beautiful Christmas wallow.

    Being an animal lover and having lost my little Crystal after 16 years, this makes me cry for Crystal and it's been almost 6 years now since she's gone.

    Hey, it was a surprise in the video. It caught you off guard. Yes, it made me cry but because we had a dog that looked just like the one in the video and even after 3 years, I still miss the big goof. But without the video, the song is still a strong (and somewhat depressing) aspect of the holidays. And that may be why they made it about the dog...less harsh for a Christmas video?

    Such a good song. It’s an original written by Tim (the bass)and friends. Yes, it could be about a loved one or a family pet which is just as heartfelt. We have a pupper. She’s 9 now but she has a stocking and will get toys this Christmas. She’s part of our family. So Home Free covered all the bases. Yes, you can get another dog. You can’t replace a person but if you’re a believer just know you’ll see them again in Heaven. That brings a lot of comfort to me. Good reaction MI and yes it’s a beautiful song.

    Thank you for reacting to the guys. The first time I saw HR doing this song, I was a bit confused also. But I am really attached to my dogs, and love the meaning of this song. And it can take any meaning when you are just hearing It. Thanks again.

    I agree with you that this is a masterpiece. I must confess that your reaction took me aback and almost offended me. I do not believe that HomeFree were trying to be funny, they all (maybe not Chance?) have pets and it is clear that to them, as to many of us, pets are family and we would never joke about them dying. However, I respect you for being honest, and for posting a reaction knowing that it would not be well received by animal lovers or by many HomeFries. I recently watched a popular reactor gush over "Mary did you know" in his video only to hear him say in a live stream that the song was nothing special. Believe me, that reactor lost a subscriber FAST. As long as you remain sincere, whether I agree with you or not, you will have me as a subscriber.

    It's meant for losing loved one or pet, a good friend, they did it this way in the video to lightning it up a bit. Because if you just listen to the song you interpret the way you want.

    This video surprised me too... I think the song itself is about a person... one line talks about 'smiling and blushing'. I don't think a pet can blush? Anyway, a beautiful song, nice reaction.... but the video better than 'Mary Did You Know'? Ending with the Star? IMO, nothing better than watching our guys, then looking at that awesome star.... Just my opinion! We can all agree to disagree! Thanks for your reaction!

      And maybe to take a bit of the human side of loss away. But to some folks.....it being a dog can make them cry....like when the saying goes as long as the dog lives in a movie....

      @@brendagrothier967 Going through the same thing Brenda. Our Aussie Shepherd, Rogue is also 13. Her eyesight is failing, her hearing is about gone and she is having some mobility issues. Without the video you could take the meanings anyway you want it. It is on an older album of theirs. If you've seen many videos of Home Free they show their animals in a lot of videos. So when they put picture to song they went this route.
    Kind of a got ya.....and their are many single folks that their pet is their one and only.

    • @MrIncrediible1
      @MrIncrediible1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey, Brenda. Absolutely that's why I felt embarrassed by my reaction and still do. I contemplated not posting it because it's such a powerful song, but I decided this reaction is from someone caught up in their own life and not even thinking of those I've lost. Just kind of opened my eyes if you will. Thanks for hanging out.

    I had a not so great reaction to this when I found that it was about a dog. I was really feeling the song…missing my parents…thinking of my grown son….and it about a dog! Don’t get me wrong, I have a dog who will be 14 the first week of January. So his days are probably numbered. I love my dog…..but he’s a DOG. I am not going to be moping around the house at Christmas or any other day after my dog passes. People want to treat their animals love their “kids”…..well, you do you. I am not my dogs “Mom”. I am not my sons dogs “Grandma”.😳😳🙄🙄 I could have done without the “twist” on the video.

    • @brendagrothier967
      @brendagrothier967 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Terri.....I will definitely miss our dog when it passes. And many seniors consider their pets beloved family members....their only family members.
      I have mopped around at every dog we lost.....for weeks on end.
      And I think Home Free if you've seen their videos a lot of them have dogs in them.

    • @greeneyes92061
      @greeneyes92061 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brendagrothier967 I am a “senior” myself, I am 60 years old. I understand exactly what you are saying, but I am simply saying that I am not one of those people. As I said, I do love my dog…he will be 14 yrs old on January 6, my Mothers birthday (if she were still here she would be 96). I understand the attachment many have to their dogs (and/or cats). Will I be greatly saddened, upset and miss my dog when his time comes? Of course I will, we have had him since he was 9 weeks old. He’s been fun, entertaining and even comforting at times. Through the course of Mom’s 89 1/2 years, she and Dad had MANY dogs, then in later years cats. She loved and doted on each one, had the last 5 or 6 cremated & kept their ashes….but she was never “mom” to the pets. They were animals, she was attached and loved them, but I never saw her mope for days or weeks. She was upset and very sad. I am not saying one is right and one way is wrong, everyone handles things differently.

    I'll tell you that. A lot of us don't find this funny at all. But apparently you've never been close to an animal that you loved. So you've missed a lot.
