1983 Z28 Camaro
Sold in March of 2011 going on 5 years now. I really want it back! Don't remember the name of the guy I sold it to. I just remember him being from a town on the border of Indian or Ohio.
If anyone knows where this car is, PLEASE comment, message, or Email me!

i can really appreciate the fact that you have taken this amount of time and actually had this much of a hand in building your car. "honda kids, this is the definition of built not bought"
Thanks man! I was in High School when i did all this. Pretty proud of it.
I will tell you now, love the car. I'm a huge fan of the red and silver paint. This is why my 87 Z28 will have that color forever.
Have to say ,was nice to see how straight and clean the car was before painting. Very nice looking oldie. Good work.
This video gives me hope for my 88' Z-28 that I am fixing up.
Great job, its gorgeous. So glad you redid the silver trim and black headlight pockets.
Can't wait to give my '86 the proper treatment. I'm 16 and its my first car. I named her Danielle.
The owners before me completely trashed her. I swear I almost cried the first time I popped her hood. Now she's my best friend and I vowed one day to give her the proper restoration. She started life as a base model with a 2.8 L V6. One day I'm gonna give her a big block or a 350. She'll finally be a proper Camaro.
+Eric Boucher good luck with the big block. Room for one thing, struts that will handle a big block is another. Plus her handling will be offset. I recommend sticking with a small block and pushing it.
+Eric Boucher Small block 350 with a bigger cam and intake monifold carb new heads and make that about 300hp and your good :)
LS3 crate motor 525 HP for 8 grand!
Just passing by ? 345 hp LS1 corvette engine!
Wow. ! Awesome. My parents bought this car brand new in red in 1982 after i graduated highschool for me, sticker was 12,773 , paid for it in 4 yrs , drove it 9 and sold it for 7000 with 50,000 miles on it in MINT COND in 1991 ! It was cool , i had the silver cloth interior, i remember this interior coming out in 04 ? idk, the "Recaro seat look" I thought i was the shit ! haha, everyone knew me !!! Those were the days, great tpo see young guys like you showing respect and restoring them !!!
Thank you!! It was a lot of work but so worth it. I love these cars in original condition.
WOW ill tell ya, when i saw "restoration" i was expecting another half ass, modified third gen, but man i was wrong. its so nice to see these cars put back to their original glory, third gens are def probably the most neglected of camaro/firebird, but these clean examples are only gonna increase in value because of it.
You painted the headlamp pockets black, and put the correct stripes back on!! Nobody ever does that. Job well done!!
This turned out to be a sweet looking car..great job on the paint job the car looks amazing
FOOL! I bought myself a 1987 IROC-Z for my 19th birthday, she is a bit rough around the edges but mine. I'll never get rid of that car, after 10 years of owning it has become a classic this year.
Anyone that restores a 3rd gen is good in my books....nice job!
Especially with t-tops. We all know what they can do to the floor pans.
This third gen is drop dead gorgeous
beautiful restore man!
Just bought an 83 Z28 for my first car tonight. Same color and everything.
I cant wait to start fixing up my 84’ z28
Very sweet ride! Job well done. I had this same color scheme on my 1984 Z28.
awesome man you don't see that interior very often but it looks good cleaned up
I have a 84 Z/28 that im finally restoring, cant wait to get her finished so I can drive across the country this summer
Everyone stop commenting about how great it is ( even though it is ) but he is looking for his car
Those seats and door panels would have been gone if it was mine..... the paint looked jewel though!!!
Amazing job compared to several other videos I've seen here. Hope you still have the z-car!
such a beautiful car, i have a 90 iroc z 350 im restoring, this video has given me a ton of motivation.
sharp as a razor! nice job!
Their stock seats, an op for 82 to 84 I think. I have seen them in blue. I love them
stunning. great job

BRYb0Ss11 Rocks
Thanks man! I miss this car all the time.
Sidney Hart you can track that vin online and will show you where it is. Beautiful car. Let me know if you find it
Nice going young bro'. My '84 had the same paint job when I bought it brand new. I took it to Europe while in the army and drove it on the German autobahns. Hope that you're still enjoying yours.
Waiting to get my 87 back from the body shop she's going hyper blue. Iroc.
That was a great restore. Turned out beautiful
Nice ride, I had a brand new one 82 model when they came out in red, was a head turner! all you need is the original goodyear eagles and the cross fire deacals. again nice ride!
This is so awesome 'cause in high school I looked the same way haha. Shaggy hair, zeppelin t-shit, and a red and silver 84' Z28 xD
I got a 91 Z28 convertible. Had it a year, I gotta pretty her up a bit. Hey name is Rachel.
Wow you kept it original looks super sweet.
Very Nice work!
Nice job.... keep em original (On the outside). Mines an 85 IROCZ, found in a garage, no rust.. hell no dirt.
All I can say .... Beautiful ride
Just bought an 83 lived most of it's life in Fla. Excellent condition, last 4 of the VIN are different though good luck, can appreciate your efforts, I should do the same with a 1970 Corvette I sold, like an idiot!!
Amazing job, beautiful car. Take good care of her.
Nice job
i would have swapped out the ground effects for some iroc ones with the nose piece. still came out sweet.
Top job there!!! nice!!!!!!!!! congrats.
What are you doing sitting on my car? Lol I know it's gone but good job on the resto.
Nice video! The songs made it better haha
Cool car !
looks perfect man. those interiors are super rare. just did my 84. hope u primed over the bare plastic bumper in the front before you put color on it. that stuff will soak it up like a piece of wood.
Sweet ass z28 bro! I got a 91 rs t-top custom paint im working on
Nice car bro I have a 86 trans am I I got it repainted too and now it's black and gold. Next step is probably getting some borla exhaust on it

1983camaro 2doorhardtopaftermarkitparts
Bad ass brother!!!
nice job man.
Looks great. sure you enjoyed the restoration as much as as showing it!
Beautiful job on that car, my 87 iroc is just about ready to painted red to. It looks like your before pic right now, I hope it turns out that nice.
I replaced the struts in front and new shocks in rear. Replaced all rubber on antisway with polyurethane. Handles like new, maybe better.
Thing came out sweet!!! Great job man.
Great job man! I love these cars, I have 3 as projects..'84,87 and '90. I have 2 of these interiors, red and blue. I'd love to do the exact same as yours..driver's seat in need of repair though.. Love the 3rd gens!
Man, great work! Looks great, I myself have an 88 iroc, I plan on painting it red. Now tell me, did this car have much rust?
Sick car man I sold my 83 z28 not long ago it was my project I only did a tiny bit of work to it sadly.. But need a daily driver so it had to go..
congrats!
Very nice, pretty much what I went through with my red Iroc.
damn, that came out awesome. great job
No offense to you guys, but it would be nice to see third gen a restoration with guys doin it with the bare minimum. I mean out side not in a shop with out all the fancy stuff. Once again no hatred intended you guys did a good job!
Nice looking Z/28 man. Did a fine job on the paint. Not to be rude though but how much did it cost to paint it?
hell yeah man that turned out bad ass bro
There's a video of a guy with a third gen that stripped his front end and drivetrain from the car. He then took off all the rust he could and put on rust preventative, and truck bedliner on the bottom.
Look up: walk around of zero rust paint on 89 camaro
Cake- going the distance!
Man love it! Sweet job!!
Nice job dude!!! I have 2 of these cars to restore, same interior, red and blue!! Looks like corvette red...what did you end up using for paint??
Looks great man, reminds me of a old buddy of mine had back in the day. Gen3 cars will always be the best looking after the first. Its just a shame they never gave it an engine w/ any balls. Did you do anything with the engine/exhaust or is it still stock?
Perfect job, congrats! The finall effect is amazing! Cheers! :)
nice paint job... What else you do?
Beautiful
Beautiful job, im just curious though, what kind of motor is in it, and what kind of exhaust is on it? because ive seen the other vids of this car and it sounds amazing!
I just bought my '84' Z28 305 block last summer & I have to say nice job to your car, what is the name of this song I like it also
i am thinking of getting a 1982 camaro and doing a restoration on it as well but blue
Damn Homie that itch look sweet as hell!! It looks brand f'ing new!! I've always been a Camaro fan and I love old school cars that look brand new. The paint seems like it was painted at the factory. I'm so jealous. Do you still have it now and did you do anything to the engine and transmission? What year is that again?
I think that it is an 83
cleannnn
@william wilson the paint cost around $600
I have never restored one of these cars before and I just purchased an 83. When I restored my 69 we were able to remove the front clip in one piece by disconnecting it from the body and the subframe. Do you know if it's possible to do the same thing with the 82 to 92 models?
I like the 2 and 3 gend
how did u take them side strips off the doors?
Thanks for responding. Do you still have it?
how did you get your seats like that
Hey, love what you did with the car man. I just bought the same exact car a week ago with CFI. I was just wondering, if you ever upgraded anything to it?
@tsidneyh where did you get the interior
Excellent work! Looks really clean! The interior has to go tho...
where did you get your shorty antenna?
what engine did you put in it?
WHERE DID U GET THOSE SEATS FROM?, THOSE ARE SICKK
