I can confirm this is very true. My face got somewhat asymmetrical due to an incident.. this made me very self conscious.. I went to a reputable surgeon clinic in Virginia, ready to get cosmetic surgery, but he talked me out of it.. he said I was very young and the asymmetry was minor and could be fixed with fillers.. so he recommended that.. I went for it, got 2 syringes only.. the results were natural and I was happy with.. now this is what the surgeon said to me.. that the filler will dissolve and turn into collagen and most of the volume will remain... That was almost 10 years ago.. I did not go back for more because after all this time, most of the volume is still there, and it looks natural.. I think the problem is with those who don't know when to stop.
Oh my. We have the same experience, I had an unfortunate accident too and it resulted in my cheekbone is slightly lower than the other. It is not instantly noticeable but it is there and my face is not balanced. I should probably do this although I never want to put filler in my face. Your story now makes me want to give it a go, only to fix it and not to keep on adding more 😊
Absolutely. Ive been getting it done for the last ten years too. I had really deep nasolabial folds and being overweight, childbirth, all these fluctuations stretch the skin. As long as youre doing it with alot of precaution. I say one syringe every so many years, where you experience volume loss. IF youre tasteful, youre good. Its the people who are going every couple months, with infinite spending budgets and get filler blindness.
I have a similar experience, except I had developed deep tear troughs when I was in my mid 20s, I had filler injected under my eyes 14 years ago, and topped up again 13 years ago…and nothing else after that. I liked my face and didn’t want filler anywhere else. Total 2 syringes, 1 under each eye. I never needed to get it redone to this day, my undereyes are still smooth, no tear troughs, and looks 100% natural. I think I look younger than my age because of that, no one can guess that I just turned 40. The trick is to know when to stop, and to use small amounts only where you REALLY need it (for eg., asymmetries, tear trough deformities, age related volume loss). Where things go wrong is when young people try to change their entire face structure with fillers to meet the ‘Instagram beauty standard’, augmenting areas that haven’t even lost volume or gone through aging (like lips, cheeks, jawline), and they keep topping up those areas every 1-2 years because they’ve gone ‘filler blind’…that’s when they start looking fake and pillow-faced, especially years later when all that volume accumulates, and they start aging, so all that excess volume just starts sagging and looking distorted and puffy.
I dont watch this girl but Ive seen her online and she comes off as such a know it all. She knows no more than the average person about anything she just yells the loudest.

I think the revelation that this filler migrates to other parts of the face rather than dissolve should pretty much end it's use. At least I know I would never get it.
That's a decision to be made by the patient, with all information available to them. For many, the results outweigh the risks, and for many, the alternatives can get them the effect they are looking for- or, upon being provided the information, they will stop pursuing it. That's on the patient, not tiktockers
@ghostratsarah yeah but I dare to say that it's rare that the patient will be informed completely to the point you can call it "informed consent". Practitioners are salesmen more often than not in these situations and over-highlight benefits while not disclosing risks (and even downplaying them when actively confronted with potential risks you've heard of)
@sarahg2653 well....reality is it's not practiced often. Went to an "acne scar expert" to improve my skin...NEVER to permanently distorted my face. Was pushed into having invasive subcision plus Radiesse ON THE SPOT...zero consideration time (he didn't even tell me the name of it before treatment). I initially came in asking for classic microneedling. Looking back...im a person who has a hard time saying no anyway and was (cause of the sudden acne scarring) mentally NOT OK at all to even be able to consent to anything in a rational way. Well here we are...I had to do my own research on this Radiesse filler afterwards myself (he only said it'll be gone in 1 year and only stimulate a bit collagen to help my scars....(NO mention of any risks and that it was originally actually used for HIV patients and will 100% create volume and change your facial proportions). Learned it will def create volume which it did. My face is still distorted 2 years layer (had 1ml of 1:1 diluted radiesse). Had to learn that in all probability the changes to my facial proportions are permanent (as there's ZERO research or definite answer to the question of its durability and ZERO options to dissolve, which was also never mentioned). Basically I now live with constant regret, avoid all mirrors and have been suicidal ever since. Cause there lierally nothing that I can do....Dr. Emil Henningsen (Denmark) NEVER gave me the option of informed consent and literally ruined my face and mental health permanently on April the 13th
If a doctor says no to a procedure that would bring in thousands of dollars; believe them. The doctors who overfill to the point of disfiguration should lose their license and be jailed. Surprising to me that most people didn’t know that filler doesn’t 100% go away
Also the fact that people know things doesn’t mean they stay away from it. Cigarette boxes have notices telling people it causes all kinds of serious illnesses, it doesn’t mean people stop smoking. People believe the bad things don’t happen to them, only to other people.
@@paradiseBird-z4d So the first time you buy a pack of cigarettes and you read the box..BEFORE addiction kicks, does it prevent some adolescents from smoking the first time? No. Studies have shown the current warning labels are ineffective amongst adolescent smokers.

Integrity is scarce. Holy moly. 10 lbs and he doesn't say don't eat ice cream, he actually offered to put me on weekly injections. Never going back to this guy again, obviously $$ motivated.
Tbh, you remember when the right freaked out over left wingers trying to bend language and the left freaked out over body positivity? The truth is somewhere in the middle. No, there is no conspiracy to force doctors and medicals to say a certain set of words. But see…. A doctor can’t sell you a gym membership or weight loss. They CAN sell you filler and ozenpic. At the end of the day, it comes down to who is selling what.
I have severe acne scars, I have fillers not to enhance my features or change my face shape but just to have volume on the scars. Made a huge different and don’t regret it at all! But i think its important not to over do it
@@kathleenking47huh that’s interesting. I’m about to head to google to find out. Update: you’re totally right. Says for defects and scars. Put a halt to the unrealistic standards set by her family.
@kathleenking47 mine injected radiesse for acne scars and it completely distorted my face....he pushed me into this shit on the spot (I came in asking for classic microneedling) without being fully informed. I had fillers put in my lips once about 4 years ago and they told me that it would dissolve in about a year. 4 years later and I still have it in my lips and it is lumpy and it looks like I have a scar along the inner rim of my lip. I regret it and need to get it dissolved but just haven't yet. I do not suggest getting fillers. I'm just grateful that I only did my lips and not the rest of my face.
I don’t want to scare you, but I got lip filler back in April (only 0.5 ml) and it’s now September, and it’s still lumpy and hard. I’ve gone three times since to get it dissolved and it’s not gone. There was one really bad case not too long ago with pictures but their review was removed since I’ve seen it. His bad reviews constantly get removed and he’s only left with 5 star reviews. I’m sure he’s paid these patients off. But in the most recent case I’ve seen that I mentioned, the young woman had a lip lift and it was terribly botched and Dr. Linkov started to ignore her requests for any help. It was really really sad. This is why anyone who’s thinking of getting work done should not just go to any surgeon that’s well known on social media.
I’ve been nurse injector for many years and I realized I was potentially doing my patients a disservice, about three years ago. I started to downsize my filler business, and I have eliminated it completely and now educate people about other ways of taking care of their skin and underlying tissues that don’t involve fillers. I have had a few very angry and irate people when I refused to continue to fill them! I just did not feel in good conscience that It was the right thing to continue to do knowing what I know.

omg i found someone has the same opinion 😂 i dont hate that she is quoting things she found on the internet, but my god, her voice it hurts my ears so much, im having a roller coaster between the doctors deep soothing voice and her high pitched screeching ear piercing noise 😂
There are worse female voices out there. Far worse. She is a young woman and as a woman her voice never bothered me. She is getting worked up about the information. Please have some patience. Imo I have seen some of her vids again her voice is not bad at all.
It’s so frustrating to me how people seem to be only capable of swinging between extremes (either believing everything a person in a lab coat tells them or demonizing the entire medical industry) without spending anytime in the middle (trust but verify).
At the age of 59, I just started getting a very SMALL amount of filler under the eyes and in the nasolabial area. I am thrilled with the subtle, natural results. My practitioner has a light touch and does not always empty a syringe. Filler can, and is, being used responsibly by a lot of people. There is no doubt that many practitioners over-fill, and many clients go too far.
The previous commenter is accurate about fillers blocking the lymphatic system, but fillers are meant to replace fullness we all lose with age due to collagen loss & aging of facial muscles.... What loss of fullness are most of these young people trying to remedy?.... Add to that, the fact that hyaluronic acid is very hydrophilic.... Stress or a bad diet or hormones are only going to enhance that unnecessary extra fullness.
Ive been getting fillers for many years. If you have volume loss, in some areas its really good. So long as youre Conservative. Otherwise you can wind up a total mess like some of these celebrities.
I hate these videos because they make me feel bad for having filler. I have terrible body dismorphia and filler really helps me feel more confident about myself, that girl just makes anyone who has filler seem like insane people when that’s not the case, she thinks she’s better because she doesn’t have any but honestly who cares, if someone wants to get filler it’s their body their choice.
@@misssami4642and its very much dependent upon the person. some filler will dissolve and be absorbed by your body - that's the norm. its when people are filled too much or too often that the body can hang on to it.
Your channel has helped me understand my own facial structure and how to optimize it with makeup and grooming rather than anything kind of cosmetic procedure. It’s definitely helped with some of my dysmorphia to know that these procedures are truly not 100% risk free. It’s also been so reassuring seeing how cosmetic procedures age with a person and realizing that my looks can really be very fluid throughout my life. It’s so nice to see someone in the field having frank, honest discussion about these procedures without trying to sell the broader audience on getting them
I had fillers done in Poland 4 years ago. I was CLEARLY informed that filler stays - migrates but stays, it could be dissolved but not easy. Then, 3 years ago I had fillers done in Spain, and the advice was exactly the same!
I also was contemplating filler (in Spain) a couple of years ago, and was told about not just the risk of the dissolving enzyme but the recent research on longevity, migration, and even the tenuous link to potential immune system complications. It’s interesting which countries have adapted the same protocol.
That _is_ pretty interesting since a lot of Europe is not so strict about what fillers can be used. (At least that's how it was a billion years ago when I was in school, lol) I guess more regulation doesn't always mean they're actually out for your best interest....
@@r.c.7779 Just to add on to the previous commenter who responded to your question, because the hyaluronic acid your body naturally produces can also be dissolved.... Idk, Doc didn't disagree with her on much. Brett is obviously more cynical about doctor motives than Dr. Link but that's to be expected. The only thing he truly pushed back on was the amount of regulation around fillers.
So so true , $3000 later , and this shit is in my face 2 years later , migrated and won’t go away and when you have blemishes it swells and never ever goes away just makes the infection worst .
Restylane migration for me nice lump under my right eye on the cheek 😢 done years ago and can’t seem to get a fix for the lump. Makes me went to hide in the house 😢
Hi, I had cheeks temples and lips , about year and half ago… about 4 syringes not sure , the lips are done with one miserable painful needle poke at a time , but of all I’d say lips are safest , they do for the most part dissolve , the rest not so much, everything they state in this video is true , it’s like a blanket of fluid in your face that migrates and puffs up over night and especially in heat waves .
I feel you, I have two sausages under my eyes, makes my eyes look sunk in and small and I have this wonderful lump on my temple where I had a scar , hoping this would even it out I opted for this out of desperation and it created a visible lump and it’s raw and won’t heal , wish I would have left it alone , but most people need to I guess try this to realize , I hope during the cold winter it settles but I do caution people against this , they will inject this crap anywhere to make money , and people are. Desperate and spend money they don’t have but the end result is just a puffed up face that doesn’t lift or correct lines , just adds to them when the fluid expands , a face lift would be needed but who has money for that , all this plastic surgery is not advanced it’s just a money grab .
While I agree she sounds high strung, it’s no surprise that this guy is taking a “calm” approach- he’s obviously not going to throw himself under the bus, as he’s directly in the industry who has perpetrated fillers amongst many other things.

It disgusts me that there is no ethics anymore, just money matters for most of them! She keeps denying that it last longer or forever! Naaaasty
Well as long as she tells her patients how filler actually works then it's not wrong that she injects filler. Filler can be useful and look good it just should never be a "every 6 month" treatment, that's insane.

People forget how big their lips already are, they get lip blindness and keep overlining. At some point I wonder if all they want to see under their nose is lips. And I've never seen one that didn't get lumpy, we're so used to it now it's like all lips can be a bit lumpy when in fact it's mostly repeated filler. I stopped going there and visited a dermatologist office only & the dr mentioned how droopy one side of my face is and asked if I sleep on that side. I said yes & she told me she could fix it with filler… I got to the point where I felt like I was extremely unattractive but I realized now that was never the case. They just saw a desperate shy young woman, I’m almost 30 now and good skin care and diet is keeping me looking on point!
Nah, Kylie was both a victim and perpetrator. You can't tell me a 16 year old girl who got her lips done because the public and tabloids harrassed her and compared her constantly to her plastic sisters, was completely her fault. It was bad parenting and bullying, period. As an adult, it was her prerogative to get more work done but her wrong was lying about it and claiming to be natural thus influencing toxic beauty standards. But you can't tell me people would have stopped clowning her. The media when she was pregnant? Brutal. You can't expect celebrities to have a healthy mindset when they're so constantly bullied by people. I'll say it again, Kylie is both a victim and perpetrator.
Absolutely there's nothing wrong with plastic surgery but lying and pretending to just have had lip filler while you bought yourself a brand new appearance. That's what creates people bad reactions. Hence, people remindiing her how she looked in her natural state, which wasn't flattering for the camera and the publi
@@samantha6670 Actually, if you look back at it, she got plastic surgery because of constant bullying over her appearance. Her Kardashian sisters are a lot older than her so they had numerous procedures already as she was growing up. That influence on top of the public and media making it their prerogative to bully her, made her get plastic surgery. She was 16. People need to have some empathy for her. What she did as an adult with her continuous lies is her fault but no one, especially a teenage girl, deserved the kind of comments and bullying she received. Hence her being both a victim and perpetrator. Her natural self created "bad reactions" that eld to her changing her appearance and her naivety and lack of judgement made it worse. And besides, who gave anyone the right to "remind her" of her natural state? SHE WAS 16!! Why are we commenting on a 16 year old's appearance and then saying it's okay because she's done some wrong things? Ridiculous.
@sanjanat1085 That judgement stems from the sole fact that she's now pretenting and preaching being all natural. Hence, people remind her natural state. If she was a minimum honest without necessarily going into details just like by saying " yeah I had some work done throughout my teenage years to feel better about myself". I swear there wouldn't even have picture of her natural self online !
@@samantha6670 that’s just a ridiculous thing to assume. The media and public dogged on her natural self since she was a child, there would be pictures regardless lmao that’s just thoughtless critiquing on your end. Also, she did publicly admit to having work done and if you’d bother to check her full videos instead of snippets, you’d know she admitted to having work done and now she’s feeling insecure because no matter how she looks, people make it their business to shit on her. I never said she’s never done anything wrong, but to expect A-class behaviour from someone who’s been targeted for things she couldn’t control since childhood is wishful thinking and lowkey dehumanising these celebrities. The beauty standards she set were toxic but her plastic surgery results were only things people bullied her for not having. We set the standards, she carried it forward.
So let me get this straight-you’re blaming a celebrity for ‘toxic beauty standards’ just because she didn’t publicly announce every little thing she did to her body? That’s one of the most ridiculous arguments I’ve heard. People follow trends by choice; it’s not like Kylie Jenner is forcing anyone to get fillers. And really, blaming her parents for this? Not everything a kid does is a direct result of how they were raised. Sometimes, kids make their own choices based on who they surround themselves with-especially in school, where parents have little control. It’s naive to think every decision a child makes can be pinned on "bad parenting”. As for lying about fillers, let’s be real-it’s hardly the scandal you're making it out to be. People need to stop obsessing over what celebrities do to their own bodies and take responsibility for their own decisions. Acting like Kylie is responsible for how everyone else chooses to look is honestly embarrassing. If more people knew how to think for themselves and actually apply critical thinking, we wouldn’t see arguments like this blaming celebrities for personal choices. Maybe you should give that a try sometime-it might save you from this level of gullibility.
I think she appears worse in this video because of the juxtaposition of her energy and Dr. Linkov's. He is so calm that her energy feels so much higher.
Saw her on a Mama Doctor John’s video spreading medical misinformation on birth control. The comment section was full of people who seriously needed birth control due to over bleeding and traumatic periods. To be fair; the girl is part of Ben Shapiro’s group. She is a political pundit.
And obnoxious. You can tell it's about her opinion and less about facts. She keeps saying fillers don't dissolve, while the truth is that filler doesn't completely dissolve, moves around and also loves water, hence the fullness and it staying in the face.
What is so disturbing about this trends, is that these women are naturally attractive and young. The signs of aging don’t appear at this young age. Their faces are naturally changing because they’re developing naturally. You’re supposed to get some lines in your face when you smile or frown etc. It’s just very disturbing to see all these young women destroying their faces. In addition, isn’t there anything else they can do with her money rather than injecting it in their face? There are literally people starving all over the world, the same people are dumping their animals and shelters etc. buying cups of coffee that cost $45 apiece. We’re really in sad trouble here and people need to wake up.

That is just not how the FDA drug approval process works. All medications undergo rigorous safety testing. FDA approval happens after Phase 3 studies, usually studied on thousands of patients on a time span of several months to years. The FDA grants approval but still follows post market studies (Phase 4) to ensure that the medicine still is safe and effective in real life scenarios, amongst many more people than can be enrolled in a Phase 3, over a longer span of time. Phase 3s are randomized controlled studies - which means there’s a treatment arm and a control arm - and involve strict monitoring which is great but obviously not possible over a decade long span. It’s also dubiously ethical given it would delay the approval of potentially life saving medications that have already been validated. If results are not as expected in Phase 4, the FDA has numerous mechanisms from black box warnings up to withdrawal of approval to account for differences in real life vs a clinical testing scenario.
It was created for people with scars and actual deformities. It wasn’t meant for mass consumption for people who need an ego boost. Some of the people in the comments are saying they had ready bad scars from acne and that’s why they got it, they don’t regret it because they don’t over do it
Anyone who reminds people that plastic surgery is surgery and therefore a serious proceedure is welcome. America does seem a place where being able to pay for a procedure is justification for doing it
As a woman in her mid 30s with no filler or Botox (yet) I have a real issue with these young zoomers going online and judging people for getting fillers or Botox or any work done period. Older than you no Botox or fillers and I appreciate her warning people it does not dissolve, it migrates and causes other issues. She cites a doctors tiktok and Dr Gary backs the info. The real issue with millennials is the generation seems incapable of understanding when others don’t agree with you or give in to your point. I hope for your sake you don’t go for injections, facial yoga exists and it’s free ;)
I love filler. However, over the years I have used it INCREDIBLY sparingly. Beauty channels will show the faces of the same three messed up celebrities warning people that 'this is what filler does!' No. This is what a heavy-handed doctor can do to a patient who is asking for a large amount of filler.
You didn't listen properly, hyaluronic acid binds water, over time the volume can more than double where the hyaluronic acid is (or has migrated to). That's why the moon faces become more visible over time.
@@Laura_Stern If you only use a tiny tiny amount when doing touch ups it should be fine. Like for exemple only use 1ml for both cheekbones. Fillers are never been made to create bones but to plump area where you did lost volume.
I think it’s too soon to say about the side effects of using filler as when you are so young you don’t know how your face will handle it over the next 10,20,30 years.
Or even someone with alot of money and lack of self awareness. Which alot of celebrities have, obsessive over their faces too. If youre using it sparingly you should be okay. & the thiner fillers, they go away. Its the thicker ones, Ive noticed have way more staying power.
I'm seeing many people in the comments saying "It's fine after a certain age"... this is not about physical appearance, its about health. This is NOT healthy, it blocks the lymphatic system so you cannot detoxify. This causes cancer. Even if you're 80, don't use filler.
I saw a news headline the other day saying it may help reduce aging in addition to the weight loss. This will drive even more people to use it for looks instead of health
GLP-1 has been in wide use for over a decade, and the benefits far outweigh the downsides if used as directed. Additional data is showing benefits beyond just weight loss, including heart disease and kidney disease, reducing type 2 diabetes risk, and Alzheimers.
Hyaluronic fillers are the problem. They are not absorbed as is generally said, but rather they migrate around the face. They do not stay where they were injected, they settle somewhere else. That is the problem, but people are led to believe that they are completely broken down by the cosmetic industry.
I think you maybe didn't understand the video about migrating fillers and unknown long-term effects of those fillers. There are new studies about possible cancer risk of fillers, too (still debated back and forth). Which would be not surprising, because injecting something in the body will most likely piss of the immune system.
Doctor Linkow, which filler is safe and recommended (alternative to hyaluron)? Please give us alternatives. I always thought my own fat was the best alternative, but as you said, that's not true either.
I’m 32 and I’m absolutely NOT getting fillers. I swear by having a good, healthy diet, sleep, hydration, using SPF and avoiding the sun, having a good skincare routine and getting a facial once a month. If even celebrities and influencers with all their money and access end up looking… not great after filler, no way I’m getting my face pumped just around the corner.
You’re only 32. If all it took was sunscreen and face wash, etc. people wouldn’t be getting filler. Celebrities have too much money and filler is pennies to them. That’s likely why they end up getting too much and looking weird. For average people, it’s a splurge. You’d probably be surprised how many ordinary people have had it. Not everyone ends up looking bad. But hey do what you want with your face. Just letting you know that 32 isn’t really old enough normally for your face to start losing volume.
@@earthlunatics9145 Well said. I'm so sick of 32 -35-year-olds talking about fillers, Botox, cosmetic procedures, and menopause. These women literally shoot so called expert videos on menopause when their moms have been through it, not them. So annoying! I am 49, almost 50. The generation younger WILL get fillers and Botox as they are generally not aging well and not taking great care of themselves. Most of the 32 year old youtubers that make money have loads of filler and Botox. This woman is very difficult to listen to. She's annoying and barely out of her 20''s with no worries at this TIME. Just wait, honey. Just you wait. :)
I considered filler, after watching this video I no longer do. I'll try a dermapen instead (and just had my first microneedling session). The people deserve to know about the risks, thank you so much for educating us.
I'm 71. I have using filler very judiciously for about 2 and a half years to kind of correct a couple places I would prefer to look better. I love my filler, and don't think I will noticeably see some of these "horrors".
I started getting fillers about 20 years ago at 46. Switched to Sculptra about six years ago. Wont be doing HA fillers and never doing lips again. Thankfully my plastic surgeon is very conservative. I am now preparing for lower face and neck surgery. Im very happy with how I look and feel lucky. Im glad i started in my forties. My one regret is lip filler. Ive had MRI’s for an inner ear issue….not sure if they saw filler in my face!!! One tip that i highly suggest is look at photos when your very young and embrace your face structure…..use youvery young face as a guide of how you look naturally and use that. Dont try to be somebody else.
This woman has no deeper education on this subject than anyone with access to the internet - Tik Tok “news”- but she’s got the certainty of someone who would yell you down about the earth being flat. It’s amazing people can tolerate her tone for longer than it takes to click off. I really like hearing medical professionals explain things on a more expansive level. TikTok does not seem a responsible format for this type of information.
Yet the doctors TikTok and Dr Gary proves her correct. Crazy you’re finding sides to scientific facts like fillers migrate and are never 100% removable
Dr. Linkov, if a patient gets PRF (“natural filler”) taken from the patient’s body then injected into the face as a filler, will it have the same effect as synthetic filler by migrating and never completely dissolving? It absorbs back into the body, right or wrong? Perhaps avoid fillers altogether or just get it sparingly.
I lost 70lbs in my 30s and it left my face a bit deflated and droopy looking. I’ve done a few ml of filler across my cheeks and have no regrets. But i also knew there were risks and the benefits for me were worth it. Informed consent is so important!
I just got my lip filler dissolved yesterday. When I got it dome in 2019, I was told it'll get dissolved on its own. I got it done 2 more times and really liked the results. But it made me have a little top shelf over my top lip, due to the filler migration. I miss my lips now but glad to have my natural ones back. I am sure I need a few more weeks to see the results but they seem to look good. My eyes are not used to them, just yet. I wouldn't advise anyone to get the filler done, because, in all reality, it will never fully disappear. Oh, another thing I did like, when waking up, my lips would always look bigger, due to retention of water.
@@Saibu-uo4ts Yeah, it was a rhetorical question tbh, so much repeat business for them all with the "HA is natural and absorbed by the body in 6 months " schtick.
The MRIs today are incomparable to the MRIs of old. They are so advanced and can do so much more. I'm not sure what time trials for particular fillers were done, but it's possible that they didn't have the technology. It's also possible that they used smaller and less frequent doses so most of the filler did dissolve. Some people get a ton of filler so that sticks around longer. Also if you get it in areas that don't move as much it tends to stay longer.

My lip filler lasted a long time. I only touched it up after 4 years. I didn’t even realize how small my lips had gotten until I took a before and after picture 😂
The last time i had my lips done was around 8 years ago with Juvederm ultra. My lips are still full. They have lost volume, of course, but have never returned back to their original size as yet.
@foxearx , it's pretty crazy !!!! My doctor thinks that even though you can't see it that scar tissue can grow around fillers if your lips are traumatised by the needle if done many times.
Kinda a blessing in disguise for me. I've had my lips injected quite a while ago as well ... and they're STILL fuller than my old ones. They look plump enough that I don't twant more. So not only have I not needed to get more filler, I'm very happy with the longevity and may never get more filler again because I'm still satisfied with them!
I got filler over a year ago now and still don’t need anymore in my lips, sheesshhhh. I still love it though and will continue to get it (: the thing you want to make sure you do is your research.
I'm not sure how every single injector isn't aware that this stuff lasts much longer than they say? I had my mid-face, nasolabial folds and lips done. I have had 6 syringes over the last two to three years. I noticed recently my nasalabial fold area is very puffy. I haven't had anything injected there in about a year and a half but I can still feel all of it there when I put my finger and my mouth. I had that area injected 3 times. The injector said it was such a small amount that was put in the time prior and they didnt think it was from the filler. I said it was my belief that all of the filler from before was still there and they looked at me like I was crazy! I knew i was right.

If they don't like fillers, then don't get them. Yes all the information should be available and transparent... But I get my lips filled a few times a year, I love it. It's my choice what I do with my body and I'm aware I can dissolve them if I choose to. Why are these women getting so upset about what other people choose to do with their own body.
I use a lot of acids and tretinoin to keep my skin youthful and I love my Lawless forget the filler lip mask. I’ve heard people trash those products too. 🤷🏻♀️ I personally don’t care what other ladies do. I enjoy a natural look while others love enhancements.
I’m a natural skeptic so as tempted as I was, I am so glad I never started with fillers. In my mind I thought long and hard about when we’ve seen fillers done well, and it’s always with the super wealthy celebrities, and sometimes they get botched too..: They’re not going to what ever suburban beauty spa I can afford and I very rarely see everyday people with lip filler for example that doesn’t make them look like a Simpsons character. And the fact that you have to continue to do it or your face will look deflated, sounds like an absolute racket. I immediately think of reality stars Darcey and Stacey… They don’t have anything close to an A List celebrity’s bank accounts, so they have to resort to doing promos for free treatments, flying to poor countries to maintain the work they’ve done and they were beautiful women when they first started with the treatments and now they look like horrifying science projects gone wrong.
When fillers were used off label and when they were approved 2 dozen years ago, they told the public they last 6-12 months, but this was not true. They didn't know I guess, but whether it was ignorance or intentional, it doesn't change the end result.
They never did long-term term studies. The people were part of the trial that they didn't know they were in. Them not knowing before is not an excuse. Even though info finally came out a few years ago, it wasn't common knowledge for most women getting it. The lady is right, most medical providers didn't tell people even after they knew! Not everyone is like Dr. L unfortunately.
I'm not even into aesthetic work and all and even I've known that fillers don't dissolve for YEARS. Brett & the girl whose video she is sharing's opinions are pretty shallow compared to the abstract convos that can be had. Thanks Dr for adding some brain cells to this whole convo lol
Props to whoever edited this video. Playing thins lady at speed x2 is a total win. Nobody will notice the difference while Doctor Linkov has more minutes to give explanations. Brilliant✨
As a person whose been getting injected for many many years, use it wisely. Use it scarcely and do not use this products unless you are experiencing serious deepening of lines, shadows and significant forms of ageing- 30s- 40s and 50s. Because honestly the young girls I see with this are just really doing damage. ITs made to plump areas that have lost volume. I get one syringe every two years or so. Ive had my mid face dissolved before, it was horrifying, it absolutely kills your natural HA and so Dr. Linkov is absolutely correct. Its really not an easy way to remove it. I think that starting to care for your skin, using other devices like micro currents- etc can help. However fillers can really work wonders until you're ready for a facelift. Theyre not going away, no amount of lymphatic drainage issues are gonna stop women from trying to look youthful. Youth is Capital in this country. But being knowledgeable about what you are putting into your body, is key. This could also push for a better products to be made on the market, so Long as people and doctors are challenging the longevity of these products, their safety, etc.
@@loradimitrova9558 Costs about 200$ depending. The natural borders of your mouth should contain the HA remover from spreading. I had it placed in my mid face a few years ago. Lips are much better results when dissolved. However if youve had the filler for long, if you have them quite filled it can leave your lips wrinkled and stretched, but lips look way better when dissolved than face.
Beauty industry is very shady and omits a lot of things from patients. Today most women still don’t know that they should exchange breast implants every 10 years!!
Why are girls in their early 20s getting filler anyway, they dont need it. Its a waste of money for them. Fillers are for us oldies who need help and i like that it sticks around, given my skin is only going to get thinner with age, i will need the volume.

I think going to the right doctor is the most important. Because some people actually don’t need it. They have already a lot of volume in their face, but I think for people that have a sunken face, even after 10-20 years their face still looks pretty good. You can’t just get multiple syringes in a year. I think it’s a lot about self-control.
I am not entirely convinced that Chrissy Teigan has facial fillers, but has probably had just about everything else done. I naturally have full cheeks, much like hers, and I've been accused of having fillers on several occasions. I would never get that buccal fat removal surgery, but the irony is that the one thing I would change about my face is to make my cheeks just a little less full.
Brett Cooper is young and a bit exuberant at times, that's true. That said, she is very worth listening to with strong, honest points of view. She's NOT Woke, which I truly appreciate.
There are new studies suggesting that fillers might heighten cancer risk (still debated back and forth, time will tell I guess). Which would not be surprising at all.
I use hyaluronic acid serum on my skin. It has worked great. Have used it for years with a good moisturizer. I have no wrinkles and a good jawline. I 'm 71. I read about it in a Mayo Clinic article; a Floridian who loved sun, I could see damage and so went looking. My first bottles were really expensive, around 99.00; ultimately I found one for around 15.00, use it morning and night. The results have been amazing, and I can't understand why you'd inject it as a filler. It works great as a topical!
It works in different ways. Hyaluronic acid used topically attracts moisture to the surface of the skin which makes it look a bit plumper. Your body also makes HA which plumps your tissues from the inside, but your body makes less of it as you get older. Some people counteract this by injecting medical grade HA (definitely not the type you apply externally) close to the surface of the skin in a mesotherapy technique to give it some bounce (this is Profhilo and similar products). The thing is, your body breaks down and excretes regular HA from your skin, so HA filler has molecules that are bonded to each other (crosslinked) to slow down the body's attempts to get rid of it. Filler is thick and gloopy and is used to create volume and features such as restoring shrunken cheek fat pads or make a jawline more sculpted.
There are two different types of HA. Reticulated and non-reticulated. The non-reticulated are absorbed by the skin and are used topically as humectant.
But I’ve noticed a visible change in my facial structure/appearance after about 8-12 months post injecting filler. There is a definite revision and dissolving over time. My filler does not expand with time.

With the word "lasts" something always told met that that meant the effect of the filler, not the filler itself... idk. It's the one thing I haven't quite jumped to get yet. Thanks for your video.
I wish mine would last that long 😂

I think the revelation that this filler migrates to other parts of the face rather than dissolve should pretty much end it's use. At least I know I would never get it.
For real. Kills the whole purpose of fillers and the unpredictable is a risk factor that would be so stupid to take
That's a decision to be made by the patient, with all information available to them.
Practitioners are salesmen more often than not in these situations and over-highlight benefits while not disclosing risks (and even downplaying them when actively confronted with potential risks you've heard of)
At the very least, we need ALL the necessary information available. Patients don't just _deserve_ informed consent, it's a medical right.

I have had a few very angry and irate people when I refused to continue to fill them! I just did not feel in good conscience that It was the right thing to continue to do knowing what I know.

Yeah but studies show it migrates into your lymph nodes pretty horrifically considering it’s your immune system

I had fillers done in Poland 4 years ago. I was CLEARLY informed that filler stays - migrates but stays, it could be dissolved but not easy. Then, 3 years ago I had fillers done in Spain, and the advice was exactly the same!
Why did they say that dissolving is not easy?
@@r.c.7779because it's your tissue being dissolved not the filler

It’s interesting which countries have adapted the same protocol.
That _is_ pretty interesting since a lot of Europe is not so strict about what fillers can be used. (At least that's how it was a billion years ago when I was in school, lol) I guess more regulation doesn't always mean they're actually out for your best interest....

Can you have it dissolved? That usually helps

The fact that people use filler thinking it will "fix" their appearance just to end up looking way worse is really sad
I’m in my 60s and I i’m seeing some of these women in 10 years from now regretting these decisions.

I think filler can be great. There are deformities that have be greatly improved with fillers and good Dr's will not over fill.
Hyaluronic fillers are the problem. They are not absorbed as is generally said, but rather they migrate around the face. They do not stay where they were injected, they settle somewhere else. That is the problem, but people are led to believe that they are completely broken down by the cosmetic industry.
Are you telling deformed people they should 'improve' themselves? That they would be 'better' if they got fillers?
I think you maybe didn't understand the video about migrating fillers and unknown long-term effects of those fillers. There are new studies about possible cancer risk of fillers, too (still debated back and forth). Which would be not surprising, because injecting something in the body will most likely piss of the immune system.
Nah the migrate so the face looks different as it doesn't stay in original injection site.

PRP is not a filler. It absorbs completely. 😊
@@lanal9330Thank you!!😊

Dr Gary Lingov, I’m very close to many doctors and nurses. I do pay attention to current affairs. Thank you for being honest about your profession!
I lost 70lbs in my 30s and it left my face a bit deflated and droopy looking. I’ve done a few ml of filler across my cheeks and have no regrets. But i also knew there were risks and the benefits for me were worth it. Informed consent is so important!
I love how well spoken and informative you are, Doctor! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for taking the time to explain this information!
MRI has been around since the 1980's, why couldn't they scan and see if injectables were dissolving??
@@JohnSmith-sj2dk cause there's no money in it for them
@@Saibu-uo4ts Yeah, it was a rhetorical question tbh, so much repeat business for them all with the "HA is natural and absorbed by the body in 6 months " schtick.
Does she think she is performing a public service? It seems that she is not trafficking in education and information so much as fear mongering and outrage for profit. It's like she's heard shock jocks and decided it was an easy way for her to make money and that behaviour is quickly going out of fashion, thankfully.
I can understand why she is annoying to people but I didn't hear the Doc push back on most of what she said. Maybe her performance is exaggerated but her information doesn't appear to be incorrect, at least based on this Dr.'s reaction to it

Same girl. Same lol
Same for me. I was filling them regularly until two year ago but they never go away.
Funny to hear somebody like Brett Cooper complaining about lack of regulation.
I honestly thought she would be against that.
I got filler over a year ago now and still don’t need anymore in my lips, sheesshhhh. I still love it though and will continue to get it (: the thing you want to make sure you do is your research.
That’s what informed consent is all about. Glad you love it
I'm not sure how every single injector isn't aware that this stuff lasts much longer than they say? I had my mid-face, nasolabial folds and lips done. I have had 6 syringes over the last two to three years. I noticed recently my nasalabial fold area is very puffy. I haven't had anything injected there in about a year and a half but I can still feel all of it there when I put my finger and my mouth. I had that area injected 3 times. The injector said it was such a small amount that was put in the time prior and they didnt think it was from the filler. I said it was my belief that all of the filler from before was still there and they looked at me like I was crazy! I knew i was right.
the emptier, the louder. she got a part of it right, but many of her claims and conclusions are to create outrage for views.

This is just what political pundits do, she in particular, is right wing. This is why people call her the Female Shapiro. 🤷🏻♀️
I love your channel, I don’t have fillers or plastic surgery, and no interest in doing so, however I find you channel interesting and fascinating.
I personally don’t care what other ladies do.
I guess the plastic surgeon and spa office is pretty shallow because they all told me it dissolved as well…
Props to whoever edited this video.
Can you please share your experience of dissolving it? I am 33 and want to get my lip filler removed

Exactly...
Pffft, girl. Come on 😂 did you not see the same face we all saw??
Brett Cooper is young and a bit exuberant at times, that's true. That said, she is very worth listening to with strong, honest points of view. She's NOT Woke, which I truly appreciate.
There are new studies suggesting that fillers might heighten cancer risk (still debated back and forth, time will tell I guess). Which would not be surprising at all.
Love your videos, not even into plastic surgery for myself, your medical assessments, along with your care and concern are awesome!
Thank you for posting this. I've only had fillers twice and this is terrifying information.
I'd rather listen to Dr. Linkov..
But I’ve noticed a visible change in my facial structure/appearance after about 8-12 months post injecting filler. There is a definite revision and dissolving over time. My filler does not expand with time.
