m570 home, the new "better" MX-Ergo at work, not a fan of the ergo, to big. and to soft buttons i random click with it when resting my hand, i think i buy this and try, and if its not better than ergo, im going to get a 570 as spare before they stop make it,
Been using trackballs for years and am always excited to see new ones come to market especially from Logitech. With that said, I have the MX ergo and can’t stand the sound of the click and scroll wheel (too loud and cheap feeling), so I’ve just been using the m570. Am kind of disappointed they used the same clicks in this new m575 because I know I hate it, so unfortunately I’m going to have to pass.
For about a week now I have been using the M570 with a wedge to make it angled like the MX Ergo. Third person games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Resident Evil 2/3 remake has been going fine to get use to. Fallout 3 and DOOM 2016 took me a bit to adjust to but Overwatch and Siege, I am definitely going to need more time.
The weight of a trackball mouse does in fact matter. Once you've spent considerable time with it, you'll find yourself standing at your PC from time to time, with the mouse against your stomach or leg, doing anything from non competitive FPS gaming, through scrolling Reddit or watching TH-cam.
The big question is - did they improve switches and overall quality of the buttons mechanisms. Many units had problems with switches and sticku buttons after couple of months... Also it's another not the cheapest mouse without free scroll wheel. That's a bummer that even Ergo doesnt have this feature.
You were the first to do a proper review on this trackball on YT. Thanks for that, I've just gotten one. My first trackball so far, and I am absolutely loving it!
@ :27 You mention that underneath the ball there are 3 bearings for the ball to roll on - are they tiny (plastic) bearings? One of mine has stopped rolling. Is it safe to put a micro amount of lube on them? Penetrating oil? Silicon lube? I need to get rolling over here. Can you help me out? Don't make me call Logitech, lol
Good video! I am thinking about buying this instead of the MX ERGO.... Why? ;) Because it has no RUBBER surface which becomes sticky over the years like the MX ERGO has.
Thanks for the trackballs review...I consider to have a trackball for my convectional mice replacement, the choice either Elecom EX-G (not Pro) or Logitech M575 (both are budget trackball)...In term of the ball accuracy and comfort for long time usage, let say I use mice approx..5 or 6 hours a day. Which one will you suggest? Thank you..
When I use the last gen M570, my hand tends to sweat quite a lot which is due to the material of the M570 surface. How about this new one? Do you also sweat a lot?
Any trackball lovers here? 😁
*_Yup!_*
Logitech Trackman Marble user reporting in! Finger trackball and ambidextrous - what more could you want?

@jackthegamer
Definitely start with the m570! It’s been around for a long time.

Yeah, I would love to see people leaving feedback on this, because I'm not going to have the long term unfortunately.
@@MattsPaddock From what people said on r/Trackballs it has the same switches as other Logitech trackballs - Chinese ones not a Japanese model
I love playing FPS with my old M570
I hate the soft rubber which can be melted by alcohol wipes!

yeah my g703 has a similar rubber and it got sticky too
Thank you for making this video! i am considering to buy this mice :D
Thanks for watching!
Has anyone used the MX ergo plus? Is it worth getting the plus vs the regular MX ergo, or stick with this m575? Thanks.

HELLO BORAT! VERY NICE TO HEAR YOU AGAIN! I LIIIIIKE!!! 👍
is there movement sensor under the m575 mouse?
Bruh. No. It’s a trackball the sensor reads the balls movement. You don’t move the device just the ball.
best tutorial!! thank you
Is this any good for 3d modeling?
Thanks for the review would be nice to have a comparison to the perimice 720

I sweat alot aswell. Its a real upgrade from m575 and i dont even notice my sweating. The grip is amazing due to the material made
It's still plastic (maybe a lil bit less sticky), but it's not a rubberized material like MX Ergo
