    Thank you for this review. All these little details that you discuss that many would consider insignificant are "important" for someone like me who is using the computer all day every day for decades :)
    GREAT JOB!!!

    Kensington should see this video and make improvements. Thanks for posting.

    I've watched a ton of videos on both of these, and this is the best one - in fact pretty much the only one that talks about programming the buttons for click+drag and scroll wheel user design issues in the Expert model. Very valuable! Thank you.

    Thank you for this review. I've used the Export Mouse for over 8 years now the scrolling has always been an issue. It's not comfortable and the wheel collects dust and dirt very easily. It seems the Slimblade has perfected it.

    • @PeterBatah
      @PeterBatah 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Digitt6 The trackball definitely does take some getting used to. Especially, when releasing the trackball at the desired location.

    • @Digitt6
      @Digitt6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PeterBatah do you have to hold the mouse click while adjusting a knob or does the slimblade allow you to toggle the click to keep it held?

    • @PeterBatah
      @PeterBatah 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Digitt6 What I can tell you is that when making adjustments to the potentiometers in SSL channel strip for example I do have to left click + rotate track ball simultaneously. Perhaps there is a way to have the left/right buttons locked but I have not looked into that to be honest with you. I will take a closer look at the settings in KensingtonWorks when I have some free time.

    Thanks, just what I was wanting to know. The only thing missing maybe, is a demonstration of the loudness of the clicking. I've been using the Kensington Expert one for a while now, the scroll wheel is exactly like you said. It's quite clunky and the sound of the plastic rubbing together can be heard if you don't use it with the consistent dexterity of an android, lol. And anyone on the fence about these two trackballs, who the loudness is important to? The buttons on the expert are loud! And if you slide your finger off a button while it's pressed, and let it pop back up, it literally sounds like a spring from a cartoon, "boingoingoingoing!" The only other thing I don't like about either of them, and in my opinion, am really sick of, is having only black or something similar being the only color available. Even if you don't have light colored pets like I do, dark colors are just dust magnets, and can start to look dirty pretty quickly. Anyway, thanks again for your review. I like how highly detailed you were in everything you explained.

    Thank you so much for this review super helpful. I was surprised by your finally choice. It felt like you liked everything better on the expert apart from the scroll.
    Maybe doing an upgrade wrist rest for the expert would fix the angle and make it perfect.

    I don't have any of his troubles using my SlimBlade, maybe since I don't use his methods of moving the ball.
    Don't forget Windows already has some relevant action adjustments.

    Great review and comparison. I've been using a Slimblade for a while and a couple microswitches worn out. I'm trying to decide if I should replace them or consider the Expert. I have really liked the Slimblade for the most part.

    agreed. The scrolling on the expert is absolute junk. It should be on ball bearings so you can flick it and let if scroll fast. It's so slow the way it is, and feels grindy and cheap trash. Think I might try the slim blade - the scrolling seems like a great idea

    Should try Logitech marble with xmouse control and you would get 4 button, configurable buttons, very easy scrolling, 0 wrist angie, more space on desktop.
