Stuff like this just infuriates me. When money is tight anyway with heritage railways and then someone does something like this. Down at NVR (my local heritage railway ) its always happening. Someone set the signal box on fire for the fun of it recently. It just angers me so much. 😡
@@TheGreatWesternGuy a couple of young local lads fundraisered a couple of grand to replace the wood on the back, bit of the roof and fix the lever frame as well I believe.
Why do so many people have so little respect for train-lovers? I mean back when I was literally in primary school (elementary if American) I was literaly TOLD to find a new interest. never the less I ruined that persons reputation at the school :D
Honestly I just think it's an 08 with a different running number. Everywhere I've looked, it says it's number before that was D3101. I hope this helps!
Great video! Shame about the vandalising, I never get why people do that on trains! Anyway, great clips, loved all the Class 13 shots! Again, great video!!! 🙂🙂👍
Thanks very much my friend! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah it's unfortunate how people think it's fun to do that. By the way it's a class 08 just with a different number. Not sure why but it's a very easy mistake to make! Thank you for watching my friend!
Vandalism = Brainless? Why? What does anyone gain from it? As I get older I find it harder to understand. I spent my formative years making things better not destroying things. May be I am on a different planet?
It was on the gangway of the first door. Long story short, no graffiti, but a mangled doorway, which was deemed unsafe and was therefore placed in between two coaches to make sure noone fell out of the back
Because at that time, a line block was in place to investigate a point issue at the south end of the station. All of the spare mark 1's would have required a move over the south end. They were also buried behind the other set which was booked to run the 11:00 train. Additionally, the vehicle in question was fit to run but could not be at the North end. The first train of the day left with only a few minutes' delay which can only be put down to a fantastic team effort.
@@TheGreatWesternGuy No I was the man on the ground coupling and uncoupling the coaches. I (along with my trainee) spent the rest of the day keeping everything moving :)
In the first few clips, you see an 08 shunter switching around 2 coaches. The first coach got its door and gangway quite badly damaged by the vandals, hence why they needed to switch them around.
Nothing more relaxing than a spot of shunting!😊
Agreed! Thank you for watching my friend! I hope you enjoyed it!
@@TheGreatWesternGuy Nice little video thanks.
i have to congratulate you on the quality and content of this video. Outstanding. Thank you.
Thanks ever so much! That really means the world. I hope you enjoyed it!
As my great-grandmother would say, may the vandils have swift karma and a hive of angry bees sting them in the ass
😂 absolutely agree with that!
A sound birching might be more appropriate! (We'd probably have to kick the ECHR into touch first though.)
Excellent video, it's a great railway.
Thank you very much! Indeed it is! A truly fantastic place, filled to the brim with action and brilliant people
Why can't people leave things alone?
Agreed. Still, it all turned out ok.
Because we still have numbskulls walking the planet… knuckle draggers
👍👍I'm watching your beautiful video here again, which is always great to see. have a good Sunday

Superb video, much appreciated!

:D good stuff! Yeah I was pretty much told the same too, but I ignored it and got to where I am now!
Sorry about the vandalism, it's nice seeing the diseasel out and about!
Yeah it's quite nice to be honest. Always liked a 45. Thank you for watching Jordan!

Famtastic video, shame about the vadalism
Thank you! Yeah it is a shame, but it was impressive at how fast the issue was dealt with. I hope you enjoyed the video my friend!

Indeed! You all did a fantastic job.
Very nice video, likes from me !
Thanks buddy! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
where is the rest of the class 13 the are supposed to be 2 permanently coupled 08's (one with cab removed)

13xxx was the original number sequence for the 350hp shunters before the D prefix came in. Long before TOPS was ever thought of...

Actually an 08 with pre-TOPS number

Where was the vandalism?
It was on the gangway of the first door. Long story short, no graffiti, but a mangled doorway, which was deemed unsafe and was therefore placed in between two coaches to make sure noone fell out of the back
That didn't make a lot of sense to me, why not take the damaged coach off and leave it in a siding? Surely there was another coach availalble?
