Absolutely cracking video !. Cheered me up in complete contrast to seeing our once proud country being destroyed . Many thanks for the Tornado display.
Fantastic! Tornado seems to look great whatever the livery she's in! Must admit, I do have 3 Bachmann models!! 8F looked superb as well - what a collection of locomotives in that yard!! Al.
I took a couple of trips on Tornado back at the Swanage 35 years Gala back in 2014 wonderful engine looks like the guys at Loughborough have done a first class job again thanks for sharing
What a job you did capturing that whole scene. perfect. the group that restored and worked on Tornado and many other Loco's should be proud of what we can do in the UK as far as restoration work goes. i wish i could be there but moved away 20 years ago so i have never been to The Great Central since 2003. would love to go. so seeing it here on TH-cam is the next best thing. Thanks,
Don't know how much running Tornado is doing this week as the coal delivery didn't arrive on Saturday, as one volunteer was at Ruddington that day, and said that while having a conversation I was part of?
I think there's no more British (Welsh) coal being produced as of this year, and our last big consumers (steel, power stations) end this year too, so imports will shoot up in price. I strongly doubt converting heritage steam engines to other fuels / electric will preserve their magic. We badly need UK gov to back 'heritage fuels' (inc gas, diesel, and petrol) made renewably. It is not only possible, it directly accelerates our.jourmey to Net Zero, and could even help with problems like excess energy production. Demonstrating heritage steam advancing NetZero would be magic in itself.
Great video as always, we have so much to thank the A1 Steam Trust for, first with this beauty and then the P2 in the not too distant future...Mal
She has finally returned! I feel so happy she’s back to service again!
Great footage of a great locomotive! Well done!

Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Yay she’s back! Looking forward to seeing the beast very soon!
Some great of tornado shots! Funny enough I was there today and can even see myself in the video! Great video 🤣👍
Hopefully a good day enjoyed 👌👍

Excellent catch 👍
Excellent video 👏🏻👏🏻
What a loco she is! Some would say the pinnacle of UK express passenger steam locos, being the last in the A1, A3, A4, A2 (Peppercorn) lineage.

Tornado is a great looking locomotive, went to see the progress on her brother the Prince of Wales at Hopetown the other week.
It's great to see it back. Hopefully, I'll see it at Carlisle on the 21st of September! I think it is!
Ye it is as it's the only tour for it to not get cancelled but apparently 20007 is supposed to be joining so it can run around at Carlisle
I was there that day!
Good to see her in steam again! Seeing how Royal Oak looked in the beginning im starting to think she needs a repaint!
That blue has faded a tad unfortunately 😢
Very nice filming of this wonderful loco! Welcome back, Tornado!
3:22 - 3:31 I can hear a noise 3 or 4 times; is it from her left-hand gear?

And they only had one bucket-full to operate Sunday with.
LETS GOOOOO
This is the one with ETCS, right?
That’s the one 👍
When do mainline testing begin
Either 2nd or 3rd week of the month 👍
Would like to try this railway as it has higher speed restrictions than most of them. Am I right?
Surprised it hasn't been converted to burn oil I would've thought coal wasn't so easy to get a hold of these days
