Definitely. I have the Gen1's and I swear they're crosseyed. The driver's side beam pattern crosses all the way over to the passenger side. I know how to adjust them up and down, but not sure what the deal is with that driver's side.
Just installed these on a 2018 F-150 WITH factory LED headlights. Here are two things they are wrong about and will save you a big headache. 1) sequential must be PLUGGED IN to work 2) even with factory LED’s you still have to run the fuse box wire to have DRL’s. Great headlights fit and functionality is very good.
Wish I saw this comment literally 2 days ago just took off my whole front end once again to figure out why the startup sequence wasn’t working and I just got an email back from morimoto saying to run the drl harness and I was confused because this video said the exact opposite if I didn’t see this comment I would still be confused THANK YOU 🙏 🙏🙏 Edit: now I’m realizing I have to take apart my front end for the third time 😭🤦♂️ I also don’t understand why morimoto can’t make a video on how to install their headlights with factory LED’s smh
@@BenVincelette I believe I paid 1400-1500 for the pair. I was going to install them, but was under the weather at the time, so a buddy put them in for me. Pretty straightforward install. Just time consuming taking everything off to put them in. No issue with them thus far, knock on wood.
I have the Gen 1 XB LED for the 2018+ F150. As nice as these are it's definitely not worth upgrading. The cost of repurchasing it plus the headaches of installing it makes it a no go. My truck has the fender flares and it's a pain to release. For new purchasers this is a MUST.
I watched a review headlight revolution did for the Gen1 Morimotos for a 2015 F150 and the lows are 1330lux and a high beam of 4150lux. Either the Gen2 aren’t brighter, or their reviews are not consistent.
I just installed mine but i connected the turning signal plugs, not knowing it wasnt gonna give me the sequential turning light, :/ now i have to go back and remove to get it the way i want it, thank you guys for explaining the wiring as i was confused when i was installing!!!

If you are talking about the XB LED Headlights, that light outout that we get from those is amazing! I would suggest aligning the headlights to give you the most amount of light output down the road, let us know what you come up with!

I had the Gen 1 on my '17 F150. Always had radio interference with or without the optional magnets. I seem to be in the minority. Do you have any radio interference with the G2? Would like more light in my '19
This isn't an issue we've heard of before. Did you ever try reaching out to our support team to see if we could help you fix that? We haven't seen that issue thus far on the Gen 2s either!

weird. mine are backwards. for mine to be sequential i have to have them plugged in BUT they will only go sequential for a sec & then they stay solid. need help :/
I am sorry to say that there is nothing that can be done to get that to work as they did with that factory headlight, you will have to simply use the headlight switch. Sorry about that!
Hello. I just installed these. My startup sequence is not even remotely close to what you guys show, and I did doulbe check they are the Gen 2's. My startup sequence has the amber sequential activate once. What did I do wrong?

I did do some troubleshooting beofre dropping ti off for an audio appointment: When hooked up the way it says to, I think its fus 26 or 36 or whatever, the startup sequence does in fact work, but only on one side, and it doesnt 100% do it correctly, and then only one drl comes on after that, so thats why it got switched to the 2nd option for the fusebox, and then everything works correctly.....except the startup sequence.
That is odd, have you tried tapping that into fuse #16? That would be another fuse that you could tap it too, that might help with some of the issues you are seeing! Try that and let us know by email what you come up with! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com

Any idea what would cause the lights to turn on by themselves? I've noticed that they do it every now and then, truck off, key fob nowhere near the truck, lights come on for a few seconds then turn back off

Pull your truck close up to a wall as close as possible and mark the center of the wall with tape. Back up 25ft and adjust beams to hit those marks. There more detailed instructions out there but that's a simple version
@@Doodooheadguy-fishing thanks I tired this method a few times. The beam pattern on these headlights is terrible… once you back off the wall your clean beam pattern is gone. Totally not worth the money, I had better results with a simple LED bulb upgrade. I regret buying these every time I drive at night. And then don’t get me started on the high beams, they’re trash.

You know, that is very interesting! I am not sure why they were different, but I would assume that the reading in the old video was a little off due to that old video being in the old shop. Not sure if that would change anything, but that new video does have the correct numbers!

What bulb? This is one unit non serviceable parts.
You can't remove the bulb, but if you ever had one go out, we would get that replaced for you entirely under warranty!

If you have the LED DRL strips from the factory, you will not need the DRL fuse tap harness!

Do these Gen2 XB's come in Chrome?
That gear is a real shotty way for headlight adjustments, my alpha Rex headlights has the same thing and it’s a pain to adjust compared to the oem
Those bad boys actually use adjuster screws that are in roughly the same position as the factory adjusters! Nice and simple!👍

I am sorry to say that there is nothing that can be done to get that to work as they did with that factory headlight, you will have to simply use the headlight switch. Sorry about that!

Those OEM LEDs are fantastic, but you get that awesome face lift with those Morimoto XB LED Headlights, nice to change up the font end look!
$1600 is a lot for cosmetic upgrades
Not really when you consider there perform better than OEM and have a 5 year warranty.
