I would not recommend the Alpharex. There's a reason they only come with a two year warranty. I purchased the Nova series for my F150, and a year in the outer LED's in the right side headlight failed. Replaced under warranty. I'm now out of the warranty window, and the left side has the exact same failure. There's no way this is an isolated incident, or I'm just "unlucky". The Alpharex headlights may look nice, but they are not built with components designed for longevity. I'll probably put my original halogen assemblies back in and cut my losses at this point. I'm not going to buy a replacement headlight assembly knowing that it won't last any more than 2 years without issues. This is unacceptable for headlights with this kind of price tag.
H7 Bulbs are very good, just don't stick them in projectors and effectively cut off half the light. warmer colors also have A LOT of benefits while driving.
Really like the look of my Morimoto XB Gen 2. They look top notch, but very disappointed with the overall performance. For $1,700 I expected more light output with the OSRAM LED chip they got in there. The light color output is blueish at 6500k-7000k, and at night it really underperforms with overall visibility down the road. They are still brighter than stock, but I was expecting more brightness.
@@ddjslhomebase243 turns out my first set was defective and somehow the lenses were not properly aligned, which also contributed to the poor lighting output. The new set is way better. Low bean is actually brighter than OEM LED. The high-bean still the Achille’s hill I think, and struggles a little in very dark roads… specially if it is raining at night. Doing bamby mode helps a lot. This headlight still a top performer IMO. What you should do is add the Morimoto 4banger wide HXB output to the fog lights. It is a winner pairing, and it is what I have on mine. No complains. Now I kinda want an additional pair of 4bangers combo HXB output by the A-Pillar as my high-bean assist for really dark roads.
I just got the alpha Rex nova’s….. absolutely love em, style was what got me. Morimoto seemed too blocky for me. Light source can always be upgraded to “better”
Those prices are insane rip offs. I’ve seen factory oem led headlights go for less then those prices. No reason any of those headlights should come with halogens for that price
Testing can change depending on so many different factors - you shouldn't focus on the lux #s as much as you should focus on the differences between those #s in comparisons. For example, a video we made today will have much more refined testing standards than a video we made 3+ years ago in a completely different studio/location.
I ❤️ the Morimoto headlights, they look 🔥 but they have a down fall and is the price! I have a 2017 F-150 and I don’t know why the 2018 2020 F-150 headlights are cheaper than the 2015 -2017 F-150 🥴, why I don’t know🤷♂️ I’m saving some $ to buy for my 2017 F-150 but for now I keep my Anzo ones. Good video👍
Why does the Nova series come with LED and Halogen turn signals and not just full LED like the other 2 with a light strip between the low and high beam
So conclusion: all is garbage just buy top of the line led bulb in stock headlight and adjust a bit the beam and it will blow everything out the water!!!!!!
Headlight revolutions is a very very biased company. Most likely getting paid for their video comparisons. The stock output is nowhere near 1000 lux. I have the AlphaRex Luxx series on my truck and they outshine and out distance any car I’ve come across. There are even videos of f150s side by side, stock halogen, AlphaRex, and then morimoto, the morimoto and alphas are close but both the cutoff and brightness are slightly better on the alphas. And also don’t forget the price 😉
This is why I only buy morimoto. 90% of why I even upgraded headlights was because fords lights are trash.

Like they ain't nothing wrong with the morimoto xb they all have their problems

Great video but man the aftermarket beam patterns were terrible I wonder how good they would perform
in the real world and at distance.

Is there anything better on the market? I have a 2018 work truck- cost is no issue. I need better lights. What you recommend?

@@LLCFDS thanks for this. I have a stupid work truck trim for work - no fogs. Still going to get these lights.

How they holding up?

My truck came with the morimoto hybrid but I like the alfarex lux led strip better than the boxed led on my morimoto
I’m confused. You guys literally have another video saying that stock headlight is not even 300 lux. 😅

None of them seem to be a good bang for your buck. I love my Diode Dynamics leds in the stock housings.
Love the lights could someone tell me what wheels and tires are on this truck?
Bro I was literally looking for this video last night
What kind of rims are on the truck, I like them.

Just comes down to size and the components inside the lights. Thanks!
Can y’all do the same comparison but with 11-16 F250 superduty morimoto vs alpharex headlights
Why does the Nova series come with LED and Halogen turn signals and not just full LED like the other 2 with a light strip between the low and high beam
What led would you suggest for the alpha rex halogen
What are those wheels? Their firee!
Very well done video comparison
Thank you!
What’s the lift and tire setup spacers?
Belongs to one of our customers!
Alpha rex nova 👍🏼
Morimoto XB all day
Still waiting on you guys to test the 09-18 ram alpharex luxx bi-led hd style headlights
You guys should’ve done Anzos too. To see which one would be the best out of all of them
Yea, it's the Morimotos
@@brianoh. morimotos are nice. Until it rains and you can’t see anything
@@F150EcoBeast that's why they used to come with halogen or yellow dingy lights, best light for seeing in inclement weather...
Do you ship the products to Mexico
We ship worldwide!
Ok good
Thx
i want to see the meter for the lux. seems a bit biased lmfao. the alpha's are bright af 🤣
I just watched a different vid and they said stock low beams were at 280 max lux
Garbage biased review. Headlight Revolution and Morimoto are owned by the same company.
🔥🔥🔥
No comparision...Morimoto #1.
Heck yeah man!
First❤
So conclusion: all is garbage just buy top of the line led bulb in stock headlight and adjust a bit the beam and it will blow everything out the water!!!!!!
Morimoto XB unit is almost double OEM 👀
Headlights for my Silverado trail boss 2023 🥲
Think Morimoto is working on it!
@@HeadlightRevolution nice 👍🏻
those alpharex HDlites are pure junk... who pays a 1000$ to get less light.....😂
