Most magnesium preparations may help, but magnesium oxide will not be my first choice because it is very poorly absorbed. If that is all you can get, then go for it, but if you have an option of getting something else, I would recommend what I have linked here or any of the better absorbed ones like the glycinate.

Am taking magnesium glycinate. Feel better and good results on my joints and sleep like a baby. No side effects until now, 2 weeks already. Along with magnesium I also take collagen peptides hydrolyzed. A huge difference on wellness. Thank you. And happy New Year ❣️ 👍+Subscribed
Wow. Thank you so much for this simple yet thorough explanation. It is so difficult to find this information re: magnesium types for some reason. You are an angel. 😊
Thank you. I didn't realise that there were so many different magnesium options. I must comment on the question of how well magnesium is absorbed through the skin. I suffer from low magnesium levels although I eat a lot of magnesium-rich foods. I take 600mg of Magnesium per day, but it doesn't cover my needs. I have therefore started buying handcream and mixing magnesium oil (self-made) into it. I rub this mixture into my calves and belly every evening before bed. And it definitely does help. If I skip my magnesium cream treatment for just 2 or 3 days, I begin to notice. My symptoms are first cramps in my calves and feet at night, then, if I still don't apply my mag. cream at night, I start to have arrhythmia problems. As long as I apply it regularly, I have no symptoms. Recent trials suggest that the magnesium is absorbed through the hair follicles, which would explain why soaking your feet in magnesium isn't very effective because there aren't many hair follicles on the feet.
@@MGarza-ki8fm I make my own magnesium oil, but I can't apply it directly to my skin because it burns like fire - I have sensitive skin. I can apply it if I mix it in a cream. It does help, but I switched to Magnesium glycinate a few weeks ago, and my tummy is much happier now, so I don't really need to apply it topically anymore
Today, I am just starting on taking daily magnesium, having recently stumble accidentally on a video by another health professional promoting the benefits, indeed, the necessity, of us having high enough levels. (He did mention that only 1% of our total level is present in our blood, so that test alone, in not checking the 99% in urine and cells, is not reliable, alone). Bought at our local health food store yesterday, fortunately it is the citrate version and not the least-effective oxide version. I seem to suffer some of the ill-effects of being deficient in this (as most of us are, I am told) so I have high hopes for some improvements. Because I liked the sound of what the different formulas offer, I was going to ask you if I could alternate between 2 or 3 types on a daily basis, just as you finished on featuring a 'variety pack' of them 🙂. Very happy to give a Thumbs Up. Thank you so much for this very helpful presentation.

Been taking magnesium taurate for about two weeks and it really helped my indigestion problem, heartburn and constipation. But my concern is, is it safe to be taken for long period of time? Will it have bad effect on kidneys in the long run?
both are necessary for life. It's not only safe at reasonable levels, but unsafe if you don't get enough. Number 1 killer of kidneys is diabetes and magnesium will help with that. Keep track of the Mg in your food and then suppliment up to around 600mg/day total. If your kidneys are good, twice that won't be harmful.
