    This is amazing - I’ve been thinking about getting a 3D printer for cutters but am a little overwhelmed at the idea of the learning curve!! This was so helpful, thanks!

    If you select your original image as “reference,” then you can create a new layer and drag the color to the image and it will fill it without having to struggle w an outline!

      can I ask you if you still like this 3D printer?
      If so, can you please tell me the name of it again. I'm trying to find one that's good, but also cost effective.
      Thank you so much!

    Hello! I just got a 3d printer to do exactly what you have done. I just need to make my own periodically when I can’t find what I need. I can get the file and start printing but I think my settings are wrong on my 3d printer and I even after watching a million videos on how to calibrate it, my cutter starts printing fine and then messes up, do you have any suggestions or settings that were helpful in the beginning?

    Hey. Probably a silly question but I've purchase an ipad air and only learning how to use Procreate. You used a SD card. Question is how did you save the bunny image from your ipad to the SD card. Could you kindly explain this please. Really want to create my own cutters using Ender 3 pro

      Hi there! So I do have to send the file from my iPad over to my laptop (I save the file to Dropbox). On my laptop I have to turn the photo into a cookie cutter and cookie cad and then upload that file into the Cura program-this is what you need in order to make it a 3D file that your printer can understand. So you do need an actual laptop in order to use the 3D printer. Hope this helps!

    What type if filament do you use? I read that PETG is food safe. Is PLA food safe as well?

    • @g_gaming2893
      @g_gaming2893 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know I’m a year late but hopefully someone sees this and learns somthing. PETG (Yes is good safe) BUT NOT WHEN YOU 3D print it. When you 3D print the PETG you are creating a layer over a layer witch is by no means solid enough to be actually good safe. What I mean is when we 3D print stuff the material and objects we print still have micro pores where bacteria love to breed and spread. There is however a way to make PETG food safe with some clear-seal coats. Look that up if your interested!

    How many cookie cutters can one roll of filament produce? Are you saving a lot of money making your own?

    • @jackievotaw324
      @jackievotaw324  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Kyle! Yes I have saved a ton of money. Depending on the size of the cookie cutters I can make about 100-150 cutters per roll of filament. It breaks down to about a quarter per cutter. To buy similar cutters is usually close to $8 for one cutter including shipping. Hope this helps!
