- I created the ultimate resident evil 4 randomizer and did a speedrun of it. It randomizes the enemy spawns the character you play as and the merchant.

If you want to try this out for yourself I have some detailed notes about setting up the mod available on my patreon. Sub for as little as three dollars to get access to the document. The mod is publicly available for free my document just shows what I did to set it up

Would love to see a RE4R randomizer. Considering that enemies aren't grouped into blocks like the OG, you could have a Verdugo, a Regenerator, and a Villager in the same room.
I'm really hoping you'll tackle the RE4 item randomizer someday. It's up on the RE4 Nexus page and was designed to work with the enemy and merchant randomizer. Always like seeing more layers added

@Paragon Yoshi i just saw a full non speedrun playthrough of it finished about a month ago. All randomizers are broken to some degree, though. Think there were like 2 crashes? But they weren't item related that I saw. And there's a hotkey to enable/disable it if you dont get key items in time.
This was a really cool variation on the randomizer, and I really like having so many characters in one run like this. I’d be up for more like this for sure.

I also got a super Salvador for the Mendez fight in one run-through, and the only way I was able to live was by climbing the ladder and shooting the guy mid air during his his leap up the ladder, knocking him back down. It took a while, but it was the only way I could work around his infinite swings that you can almost never stun him out of.
Yesssss thank you for not giving up on RE4 🖤 RE4make is amazing but I don’t want us to abandon this classic.

I understand your logic behind it, but your European fans would love to show you around their cities, play with them, eat, and have a wonderful experience in Sweden (or whichever EU country).
You have to think beyond the gaming experience. Maybe if the event is in Spain, you could go see RE4 sites with Albert (if he’s available lol😅) But in the end, that’s your decision and I’ll respect it, Waifu.

Would love to see a race of this randomizer, Dante Ravioli needs to suffer some more
Now we need an even ultimate randomizer where your character and loadout swap everytime you open inventory
And then one where enemies swap every time they are damaged
I really wonder if a Dead Space randomizer will be possible to do from a technical standpoint. Much like RE4, DS is based a lot on fixed enemy/item locations and whatnot, so a randomizer for Dead Space would be equally chaotic, and make for a great challenge.

Crazy that you still play the og version. For me the original game is over and i will always play the remake, coming from someone who played this game pretty consistently since around 2010

If a patch comes out (or already exists) to remove the equipment restrictions of the characters, do you think you would use it or would it homogenize the randomizer too much?

Hello, just want to know how speedrunners deal with burnout. For example, I really love RE4 Remake but after the 4th run I need to put it down for a while even though there's at least a couple more Challenge related runs I can do. Yet I'm certain there's people that've beaten the game dozens upon dozens of times at this point.

Hi, I'm a mo cap performer and wanted to share a painful story of mine about these REmakes.
In 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the motion capture role of Leon for the upcoming RE 2 Remake.
I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part...☹
Now many years later, when I see how successful those remakes are I can't believe I wasted such an opportunity.
In this business one audition can change your entire life. PS. I got Mercenaries on 3ds, it's pretty cool too.

do you think if someone put enough time and effort into this, someone could use the preexisting models of ada, hunk, etc to make animations that leon would usually do (as in, animations involving guns needing to be held that these characters usually wouldnt) and would be able to fully mod the game so all characters could hold all guns? or is that just wildly too difficult? i really dont know much abt modding, never modded anything, and maybe this would just kinda make these randomizers lame if that were possible? idk, the gun limit can be fun but it makes hunk basically useless too so
Maybe someone in this community can help me. I want to play RE4 on my laptop but i have this stupid problem that the game is like in super slowmotion. My laptop is more than enough to play the game so its not because the hardware is too weak. This problem seems to be commonly known but no fix i read about works for me.
happens because the game cant skip frames it just slowes down
having the same problem game doenst use all of my ram and cpu but its still slowing down happens allot in older games
