thx, about to buy one. This exactly what i wanted to see.
Hi there, I’m planning to get this legion pro 5 but I’m worried about that cpu temp, it even reaches 100c on sand storm. Is that normal? Or should I just get the asus ROG strix G16 with rtx 4060 variant? Please let me know, thanks!
Would of been nice to see with FSR performance
I might make a video just for that :)
Please do
I thought I was the only one with such a terrible temperature of 100 degrees.
is this thermals normal for long term? It seams to be really hot, i was considering to buy this laptop but after watching two gaming test videos with ryzen 7745HX i am really afraid to buy this. You think that i should not buy it? Go with something else?
Ryzen always seem to run hot but I do not see any long term problem yet and we have been heavily using Ryzen systems since 4000 series and our legion 5 with 4800h cpu and 2060 is still going strong
@@mashextra I totally agree. I've been runing my legion 5 arh05h for 3 years on those kind of temps and it's still going as strong as always. if you lift it up a bit you will drop some degrees I've seen. always have a book under it lifting the back a bit and the 100º disappear.
Mine died two days after the 1 year warranty died. I doubt it lasts with such high temperatur. @@mashextra
hello i just bought the lenovo legion 5 pro rtx 4070 and ryzen 7745hx laptop and wanted to know do you use a cooling pad while gaming with this laptop..
I don't, it works fine without it but if you did decide too use one it would knock a few degrees of heat off it :)
Hello,
Is it possible to connect a 240hz monitor to this laptop ?
Thanks
it sure is, you can use the HDMI for 1080p 240hz or USBC>DP for 1440p/4k 240hz
whats the abbreviation for DP?@@mashextra

Did you elavate your laptop from the desk?
No, I never do for these tests as that may give people false readings if they assumed it was flat on a desk
@@mashextra and how is that a false reading 🗿 it's known in laptops fields to elevate the laptop for better cooling it's a common sense
just use a regular stand
We both know that is correct but imagine I show a laptop with great temps as I elevated it (like I often do with my own laptops) but then an inexperienced user buys it doesn't elevate it then he/she thinks either he/she has a poor unit or I have given them false information. And trust me even if I clearly state it people still miss the information 🤣
@@mashextra
Looks like u r insisting, however I won't force you but you can tell how much temps you get when you elevate your laptop
@@Smart_boy2001 Totally agree with mashextra.
Just FYI I do not elevate my laptop while playing games (and I like GPU heavy ones). The default/expected position o laptop is flat for most people IMO.
Hello
Why cyperpunk getting 28 fps only??
because I absolutely maxed out the settings so I could compare against the 4080 and 4090 in other videos
can you make a video on fortnite with these specs plz
Why The CPU temp is always above 90
Because they are supposed to run at 95C 24x7 under load. Of course you can drop them to 75C and lose like 5 fps only.
@@DeepteshLovesTECH Yeah, It is the characteristics of Dragon Range Processors
@@DeepteshLovesTECH How can I drop the temperatures?
That CPU temperature is very concerning
That’s true but we can undervolt this for better temp
Another educational moment......Anytime you're running benchmarks and the system is running all out without V-Sync, temps are always going to be higher than NORMAL! Unless you have a water cooled tower PC. Besides the fact that this is a laptop. In NORMAL situations you will have it sitting to the side on a cooling pad and plugged into a monitor with V-Sync probably as well.. Its common sense.
You can set the power limits in the bios and the lenovo vantage software to help with thermals. It also helps to have an external fan cooler. I was able to run apex legends around 70-75 average with 80 being the max limit. Unfortunately, i dont think that you can undervolt the cpu in the software, but in the bios, there is a setting that allows you to do so but you have little to no control on how much voltage you can apply

@@jetropasoquin9825 i’m sure that you should be fine. Just keep in mind of the ambient temperatures. I live in CA USA, and the the ambient temperature here is 70-80F (21-26C). As long as you keep your laptop elevated from the desk, it should receive sufficient amount of airflow, and refer to my comment above by getting an external laptop cooler. I recommend the iets gt500 laptop cooler, if you’re going to game for long hours.
