I think you are evolving because you can see the bigger picture and that means progressing forward. From the things you said you like about freelancing and that you are organized and you can plan well, that sounds perfect for more of a management position that you are honing now. And how awesome that you are running your own business. A lot of people are afraid to start their own business, I see that as an awesome leadership quality in you.
I think it will all come together for you. I still have to get the short cuts with my editing under my belt. I'm the 60 year old 😭 you were talking about but hopefully editing movies. You are inspiring, thank you.
He interned on a project years ago, then interned for me for my channel! You’ll have no shortage of options on this channel. So many people are looking for work!
I know people who have evolved and are evolving to ne positions but, they never loved editing to begin with. I personally am new at editing stuff and I am not in a position to really worry about this. I think it becomes difficult when you really love something. But, there is something nice and funny thinking you will be editing when you're old.
After reflecting on this, it was dumb of me to say that lol. I think it’s just because I am a social media editor, and that industry hasn’t been around that long. But of course the job of an editor has been around longer than I have haha I definitely look up to plenty of older editors! 😅
It sounds like you are thinking about the next steps. I think gradually you will work the agency end of it into your work day enough that you will find you are just doing it. I'm ilder, I graduated late. But I hope I am editing hopefully movies when I am older. Thanks for all your great info. You'll do great.
I think that might be part of my confusion, because I see these well respected, awesome movie editors, and I know that will not be me, so it’s hard to envision what my life will be like! It sounds like you’re on an awesome path yourself :) have you edited any movies or narrative pieces before?
@@ColleenCavolo I'm editing just photos of mine along with footage that I film on my day trips. The only narritive was a short story I had to do in school.

I really appreciate you saying that! Sometimes talking it through helps me to come to conclusions like that :) thank you!

Hey, Wow 😮, Hello, Ma`am.🎉🎉🎉
This is a good problem to have. Especially at your age. Damn I have never felt so old. Good luck!
I definitely feel a little lost, but you’re right. It’s good to be working at least!
@@ColleenCavolo Definitely better than being held down and not promoted in an underpaid position for years. Lol keep up the good work.
Get help with the non video editing stuff and stay focused on video editing maybe hope it helps
Thank you for the advice!
Sounds like you need to open an agency.
It’s definitely still an option, but one that I’m really unsure of, as I’m finding some road blocks in the path of it. We will see!
First. Love your videos
Thank you 😊 🥹
