    Resilience builds strength, marrying the experiences from the diaspora and country of origin is beneficial to being a good leader due to the enhanced understanding of both systems.

    If the system is corrupt, no matter who is in charge ( Diasporans or home-based) they will be corrupt.

      Fighting corruption is a difficult but necessary task and we all have a role that we must play. The fight continues!

    Powwrful cultural analysis. You are spot on with us in the diaspora. As a “visible minority group”, we don’t blend in like some other immigrants of Caucasian race. We need to be proud of who we are. Citizenship is a privilege and only represent one aspect of our identity. Your roots shines through. Embrace it.

    Dual citizenship bring about diversities of ideas and experiences for an individual to be more positive productive in leadership styles to serve a nation.
    By and large all this issue depends on the individual readiness to serve his or her country of origin.
    However, some diasporans have done their best to serve their countries of origin.
    Others had failed woefully to destroy their countries of origin by embezzlement of state fund just for their personal gains.
    For instance the on going self proclaiming caretaker Maada Bio government and his Mendecrate criminal ministers of our beloved country Sierra Leone .
    Majority of them owned dual citizenship with PHDs in education as they claimed they had obtained. But failed to deliver with the positions entrusted them to work sincerely for the land that we so love Mama Saleon.

      We must never stop fighting the good fight. There is a clear line separating good from bad, right from wrong, and we must always choose the path of justice.

    Well done, Dr. Conteh for looking at both perspectives. Bridget, I like the analogy of coffee and milk. It definitely will stick with me😊

    Definitely, awareness and knowledge may help diasporans to be comfortable to engage and participate in legislation as knowledge is power. That's the only way our voices can be heard and our values represented. Great topic 👏.

      Great contribution sis! Together we will all continue to do our part to unite our similarities and embrace our differences for the betterment of all. We must start small. The more we know, the more willing we are to make decisions in the interest of growth! The advocacy continues.

    The saddest part is they even stole from their original country to invest overseas

    • @jacquelinebull6277
      @jacquelinebull6277 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You should ask yourself why do they 8nvest overseas. That's what you should be thinking 🤔 why.

    • @dimdinpodcast
      @dimdinpodcast  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's very unfortunate. Leaders make a commitment to support the growth and wellbeing of their citizens/people, to do anything contrary to that is very unfortunate.

    • @dimdinpodcast
      @dimdinpodcast  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question. However, i don't think they should have any reason to "steal" from their countries of origin to invest in other countries. It is within their right to invest their personal wealth in any country of their choosing but to "steal" from one for another should not be justified at all.
