Literally last week I was thinking: " I wish the futur released a video about building communities" A few days later I saw this post and couldn't believe it!. On point as always, thanks.
Interesting @@SergioValdez, are you considering building an online community? If so, don't miss out on their other two previous podcasts! PS: Saludos desde España, Sergio 🇪🇸
Thanks a lot! But I wonder if you know Artur Grandi, who is a founder of venture fund and he gathered a great community, with one common purpose of spreading the idea of his formula of healing whole world’s financial system, for the sake of which he wrote a book “Grand Time”, with descriptions and many other insights in it?!
Great insights on community building! One advanced tip is to leverage 'super users' in your community; these are highly engaged members who can help drive conversations, reducing the pressure on you to always be the initiator. It's like having a team without the payroll.
Yes I love doing this! We've built entire structures around this. I often recommend providing structure for the help they're already providing, but then setting expectations of a 3 month period for this engagement, to then reassess how both sides are feeling. Otherwise you risk awarding members titles that are forever, even if they drift.
I'm part of Tom's community, and I highly recommend it! I love the way he approaches communities in such a practical, balanced, and constructive way. And the people within the community are great people too.
Love being a member of Tom's community - he embodies what a great community leader is. I've learned a lot from him on transitioning my audience into a community - and he always overdelivers, which is also super inspiring!
Working on building a community for songwriters here. The more I embrace the process, the more I get to be present for the people who show up for my service. What I never realized about building a community was simply how long it takes... The consistent effort needed and the certainty as a leader required is occasionally quite daunting. But the more clear I become in the vision the more exciting the journey. Thanks to The Futur for helping me in this transitional time of my life, as well as Tom for his great insights. Looking forward to what the futur (hehe) holds! 😄
SO DOPE!!! I have been hosting/facilitating a monthly event called Business Connections & Conversations. It started as a selfish need to connect with local entrepreneurs and business owners who are looking for a community with a "safe place" to talk about how they can do better in their businesses. This framework has clarified some elements of building our community!! Thank you!!
This is sooo valuable. I'm planning on launching a community for awakening artists on the spiritual path to invoke confidence and become more of service to create a ripple effect of positivty in the world, because I believe art connects us unlike anything else.
Thank you! I love how tactical this is! Very concrete. Very practical. I have a clear idea of how I can plan for my own community as a solid business model.
Thanks so much. In the time available we could still only scratch the surface, but I wanted to provide as much practicality as possible. I appreciate the kind words.
This was hugely valuable. I’m going to launch a community specifically for “exited” founders who recently sold their business (for 7-8 figures or more) and also for people who want to sell their business for 7-8 figures in the next two years. Very niche but also an audience that has a ton of money and is looking to make life changing moves. Great job to both of you. One of the most valuable TH-cam videos I’ve ever watched and I mean that.
Chris, thank you for this video! I’ve been following your content here for awhile now and have learned so much. I launched a free online Skool community for dancers looking for support and collaboration about three months ago, so this video is super timely! 🙌🏾
Thanks Tom! Listening to every word you say! Being a part of Tom's community has been a vital part in helping me to build my own community. Highly recommend!
You're a Godsend! Just what I needed and wanted and BAM here you are! Only an hour ago posted! God loves you, and loves me by giving me you to learn from :)
Thank you. this was so useful. I'm in the process of launching my 'No More Meltdowns' membership for parents of explosive kids now. I skipped quite a few steps e.g. waiting list, so it's going slowly.
The single most helpful video on TH-cam for me on my journey. Thank you Chris and Tom. I am launching a community for Men who know they can do more and want to change the direction of their lives 🩵 As a 32 year old Dad of 3, I know how much life can get on top of who you want to be! 💫💪🏽
Thank you Leons! This sounds like a really inspiring community, I wish you the best of luck with it. Great to see a fellow dad out there community building :).
Thanks guys. I Im deffenitly starting out on a new hobby, slash side hussle. Love getting good advice on building a comunity. I have deffinatly failed in the past. So your advice is always helpfull.
This is brilliant and very helpful information, Tom and Chris. Very insightful and actionable. Thanks a mil. My personal brand is focused on Productivity. So, I'm working on launching a community to help distracted people take control of their time and design a life they desire. Simply put, helping people achieve their goals by focusing on the most important things and maximizing their time.
Thanks for this one! Also new dad here 🙋♂️I’ve created an amazing following in the auto detailing community and have been wanting to go deeper with them.
Super helpful for a modern tradesman community we are building. Would love advice on it if available for new members. Little things like visible names, working with a startup, and more.
Phenomenal video thank you so much for it! I didnt think I would watch the entire thing in one sitting but I was just so fascinated by it! I'll be reverting back to it again! So thank you! One thing I just wanted to mention, and I dont know why it bothered me so much, but found it a bit distracting that Ton's microphone was blocking the bottom of his face the whole time. I know it can be seen as cool to have a professional microphone in the shot, but for me at least It was nice to see his entire face when he was talking and I though the sound quality was a bit better from Chris's too. Anyways I know maybe an unusual thing to point out just wanted to say it though. Thanks again! :)
Amazing interview -- this had so much value. I have a question: what tools do people use for their community waitlist? A platform that allows him to have a poll the way he said? Thanks for any tips!
This is such a helpful discussion! I'm about to re-watch it, but I wanted to drop you both a big THANK YOU first. I'm about to launch a community on Circle called The Amazing Parents Club. It's for parents who are eager to learn psychology-backed strategies to parent with intention and confidence.
Funny enough, the community that I am building through my Embassy Life in DC project follow just for embassy and cultural events in the DC area. My TH-cam community is totally different with some other interests!
Tom is a very dull speaker in my opiniion. it was hard to pay attention because of how boring he sounds. Anyway, these things are subjective. Good work chris, love your stuff
Please take into consideration what you’re writing and how it might make someone feel. Tom is a friend that took time to come on the podcast, he probably wouldn’t feel great reading what you wrote.
Launching a community for adhd entrepreneurs!

Can the Futur do a video series about how to make our own social media "format/style"?
Limit your self narrative when interacting with people by seeing them as limitations instead of challenges.
