I'm going to be blunt Nisha, you need a reality check, being concerned over a mm is just not healthy for your mental state, please, please appreciate your beauty and what a wonderful life you seem to have. You are an extremely beautiful woman and the nit picking over a mm or some comments you get just isn't worth it. I wouldn't be interfering in any other treatment with the possibility of stuffing things up, as there is no return.

I noticed it straight away. This whole point of this surgery is to get it PERFECT. Both eyes MUST be symmetric. If natural eyes were fairly symmetric and the surgery makes them uneven and unsymetric, then the surgeon has caused this problem. That is why it's so important to get a talented surgeon.

I recently (6 weeks ago) had upper and lower blepharoplasty. While I am happy with the results, I wish there were more videos that showed the possible complications. I had a lot of persistent swelling and redness in my cheeks post surgery. I had to go on steroids for a week to bring it down. I also developed fibrous tissue directly under my lower eyelids that is preventing my lower eyelids from moving when I try to squint or smile. The surgeon is having to put injections every few weeks to help dissolve it. I still don't regret having the surgery, but my recovery has been quite bumpy compared to many of the videos I watched before I decided to have the surgery myself. We are always our own worst critics, and something that we obsess over is not even noticeable by others. You were beautiful before, and you're beautiful now!

I have the story about a friend I used to have. She was 65 years old. She was married to a man where they would fight, and he would cheat on her. She was a real stunner when she was young she would constantly talk about how men were always stopping the car and whistling at her, and by the picture she showed me I can really see why not many women are blessed to have that type of looks. every time we got together for breakfast, she would talk about women’s looks and how beautiful they are and how she wish she would look like that again and it would be where they can hear her other people can hear her. It was so embarrassing. There was never time when beauty never came up, I felt like I was constantly having to feed her ego . Then when she met my husband and saw how good-looking he was, she had to remind me that I wasn’t as good as he was. Our whole relationship was about her looks and how she had a lot of money she would rather spend it on getting young again, then her retirement and enjoying her life. even as I’m writing this right now, I feel so sorrowful for the women who turned heads in their younger years and they still want that feeling again, but no matter how much surgery you have it doesn’t fix the inside and the fact we all will get old in an actuality getting old is a privilege not many get to experience. I have been thinking of that friend I had she would be in her Late 70s now, and I pray when she looks in the mirror, she sees her true beauty and every wrinkle that she’s earned and every tear that she’s cried.🦋🦋

I feel sorry for really good looking (men as well as women) people, as they seem to end up building their whole life on their looks, they feel better than others, and when their looks fade, they really feel it, they loose their self worth and self confidence, and Yes, they do end up leaching comments/compliments of their beauty from friends, flirt with all men (even best friends husbands!) Because of their need to still feel wanted.. feel sorry for her, but don't trust her around your husband!! .... and luckily, not our Nisha, she's a happily married woman, critical of her looks yes, but not obsessed... we do have all these fancy injections, treatments, surgery, etc...and the money made off it, they keep pressure on women to believe they need it!!

The most important apect of beauty is on the inside. How we look externally is just a matter of opinion. What one person finds physically attractive, another will find unattractive. Kindness, helping others, contributing to society, loyalty, honesty. Those are the true reflections of whether someone is a beautiful person.

Hi Nisha! I had an upper bleph in April of 2023 and my outcome was very similar to yours. However, I honestly love hooded eyes, I just didn’t like the loose skin hanging down, so I purposely chose a very conservative surgeon who would only remove the excess skin.
But like you, one of my eyebrows sits a tad lower, and it’s also the eye he took a tad less skin from, so post surgery it’s slightly more hooded. But that eye has always been slightly more hooded, even when I was younger, and I actually prefer it over the other. Lol! . But at first, I was totally fixated on the difference. Some days I do still notice the difference more than others, but as the months have gone by I really think they’ve begun to even out. But despite the slight unevenness I am still thrilled about my results! And I think you should be too! You look beautiful! 😍 You still look like yourself just more refreshed and happy! 😁 My husband always tells me, “When people look at you they take in the big picture, they’re not dissecting the details.” ❤️🤗

Personally, I would never opt to go under the knife for aesthetic purposes and perhaps courage is the incorrect noun to use in this particular instance. However, any hospital procedure can be daunting and nerve wracking and I don’t think Nisha underwent this blepharoplasty without a lot of forethought and research beforehand. I would have given anything to have smaller ones like yours. But to be honest now that I’m 53 I really don’t care. I’m just grateful for what I have. So we all are hard on ourselves!😊😊😊

Your surgeon did a fabulous job! Don't stress. I had the same surgery in the U.S. and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have the same issue with one eye looking wider than the other. It has to do with the brow bone, one being a smidge higher than the other. I think your eyes look great.

But the eyes are not symmetric. So let her be honest. You can see it straight away. I saw it immediately without her saying anything. It's important that people are honest about the pro and con of this surgery. It's important to find a surgeon that can cut the eyes symmetrically.

Nisha I had my upper and lower lids done about nine years ago. The eyes are the quickest to heal on your body after surgery. It will take a good year to fully heal. You will see changes on the way your eyes look fantastic and remember your eyes are sisters, not twins. just enjoy your new look. Even after nine years with my eyes, I sometimes wear make up eyeshadow or mostly I go without now. I find that if I put lashify lashes on I really don’t need any eyeshadow. I enjoy your content.

Hi Nisha! I think I would have had the same expectations as you. But when you think about it, I think it's more appropriate not to change drastically. It has to be realistic and as natural as possible for our eye shape. Since you've always had a problem from a very young age, I think it might have been too obvious. That's why when there's too much change, it often doesn't give good results and can even completely change our identity. I think the result is great and that when we look at you, we see too much change! You look great like this and I think your surgeon did a wonderful job! Have a good end of the week! xxx

I had my upper eyes done as well in 2012 and I'm still very pleased. I didn't want to look different, just rested and alert looking. My surgeon removed just enough which was a conservative move in my opinion. I'm so glad I had it done. You look wonderful. You still look like your gorgeous self but rested. Good move!!!! BTW.....as you continue to heal you will see more and more of the full results. I would say it takes about a full 6 to 9 months. Enjoy!!!!

So glad you shared your eyelid surgery with us. I've been considering getting it done. My lids are not as hooded as yours were though. So maybe my expectation is too high. I'm 72, and I don't know if they will continue to droop more. I'll probably end up getting it done. My biggest concern was - would you be able to see the scars. Yours are not even visible. I think skin type and color makes a difference. I have olive skin, so I don't know how invisible mine will be. Much to think about.

You still look like your natural, beautiful self, just more refreshed! I would never advise you to have the little issues that are currently concerning you fixed; this is a decision you need to make based entirely on your own personal perception and feelings. But, after living with your "new" eyes for awhile, I suspect you will decide they look fantastic just the way they are!

Your surgeon was excellent and you do look like you, only better : ) Had my blepharoplasty in 1977 (age 25), because drooping lids ran in my family to the point that as we aged it impaired our vision. Surgery back then was much more crude and I lost a lot of hair on the sides of my head that has never grown back, but otherwise loved the results. (They never explained the staples on either side of my head that caused the hair loss so if anyone out there knows, I'd love to hear.)

As a fellow hoody😊I am a little surprised that you thought you would have as much lid space as that picture you provided? I have researched this a bit
and I am clear that I would have the same eyes with the lift off the lash line. I wouldn’t even consider trying to get that much space, even if I could… I do notice the difference between your 2 eyes but that is to be expected as perfection is almost impossible, don’t you think?

  • @jacrippin1
    @jacrippin1 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

One thing I noticed is that I was always looking at my face in the 10x mirror. When people look at you they are only seeing the big picture of your whole face not just one part of it, and certainly not as close as you look at yourself. When I had my blepharoplasty, I was just as picky but my husband took a picture of me at a distance people would see my face at and showed me its not even noticeable. My surgeon said in order to fix the folds on the outer corners of my eyes I would need a brow lift but I can live with the way they are. BTW, my bumps flattened in time.

Hi Nisha, I wanted to come on here and comment and tell you that I think you were so beautiful even before your procedures! I think the results are stunning!! Nobody’s eyes are perfectly asymmetrical. I am so happy for you that you were able to do this for yourself! ❤️
However, I assisted in plastic surgery with a plastic surgeon for years. If you’re not happy make him fix it!!! It shouldn't be at your expense either! I had a nose The doctor left my nose extremely crooked! I was too young to have the guts to ask him to fix it and now I'm stuck with a horribly crooked nose! You're the only one who can decide if you are happy with the results. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

They look fabulous! You don’t want more out of the corners- that’s where people get that “hollow” look that makes your eyes look old - NO! Lots of surgeons here in US are now trying to fix that exact problem for their patients from previous surgeries. And eyes are not naturally Symmetrical so forget that, please. You have a beautiful, youthful result- YAY!!

Nisha, Your eyes look beautiful. Understand that when one looks at something too close for too long, it can skew ones perception. Whether it is ones facial features or a piece of art work we are working on, or a home decor problem....whatever it is, look too long at it and it will seem bigger and more important than it really is. I remember when I picked out a glass top stove, they sent one with more pronounced speckles on the glass. I thought it looked terrible with my differently speckled counter tops. They were competing patterns. The more I looked at it, the more I hated it. I wound up keeping the stove because of the hassle and inconvenience it would have caused to return it. Years later, I don't even notice it. Just be careful of trying to make things too perfect especially when it is something permanent like ones face. You might find that in trying to correct a small flaw that the surgery to correct it, creates another flaw and then that needs to be fixed. Sometimes you got to step back from it and after a bit of time goes by, it just might be not so big a deal to you as you thought.

I think you look fabulous! I had some major plastic surgery 3 years ago (not to my face...I had tummy tuck, some lipo and breast augmentation) and managing expectations is a BIG deal and incredibly difficult. When we go to extreme measures such as surgery we have an "ideal" in our heads that often doesn't match up to the reality of our bodies and our anatomy. I don't know a lot about the surgery you had to your eyes but you're still only 2 months post op. Maybe you're not quite yet at what your final result will be? Regardless, you're an incredibly beautiful woman and your eyes look amazing! 3 years post op for me and I STILL occasionally think, maybe I'll get some 360 lipo or go back for the breast lift I should've done initially. As women I think most of us compare ourselves to something or someone else and wish our features were some other way. I haven't ruled out making some "tweeks" to my body but so far I've resisted the urge because I've realized I could go down the never ending rabbit hole of trying to reach unattainable, unrealistic goals. I try to focus now on how amazing my body is. I'm strong and healthy for my age, (I'm almost 56) I'm not on any medication, I work full time as a nurse and my body allows me to do that, I have 4 children, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand child and I'm out here slaying life on my own. If I don't nitpick at myself I'm rocking my life and incredibly happy! Keep being the incredible woman you are. I sooo adore watching your videos! Stay fabulous! 😘
