Please check to be sure there's no leaks and add new caulking on all outside seams as maintenance project from the start. Easier to do preventive maintenance then tearing the siding off and replacing rotting wood. So happy for you after the disaster with that first truck and dishonest person. Now you have your truck camper at last.
We will need to caulk it asap!

Right? We think it’s a perfect size for us. Some may say too small, some too big but we are very happy with our find 😀😀
@@honeyiroam its perfect, and it's bigger than the runaway, we loved ours too, but we needed and wanted something a little bigger too, and easier set up, and stand up in lol! So we went the van route, a 2005 pleasureway wide body excel ts. Just a bit bigger than the runaway lol!
Giulietta, you mentioned that a/c four times. 😄 But I get you, a/c is a must. I'm so happy for you both! YAY!!! This is going to make life so much easier, especially when you're work camping. hahah A/C IS EVERYTHING! We have SO many ideas and yesss, my mama is going to work her magic with us on her!

Your bath is a wet bath. It's common to sit down on the toilet seat to take a shower.
haha we will laugh when we shower on the toilet but also smile because we can shower in our camper! lol

exactly! we wanted something that was compact but could also go into some good overloading spots. we decided against a pop up truck camper because we wanted something a little more comfortable since we will be work camping in it. let us know how your search goes! have you found the perfect camper for you?

Hi, I'm getting a truck camper from a couple of ladies who are moving and leaving their camping days behind. Getting my truck ready now, will pick up camper in a couple of weeks. Learning all I can while I wait. Thanks for helping to demystify through your experience!

@@honeyiroam I now am in possession of a 2000 Fleetwood Angler in pretty decent shape aside from needing some framing replaced due to rot in the cabover part and the shower not working (don't know why). Everything else supposedly works (Yay!). My truck just got a new radiator and thermostat but I need to wait til next month to get tiedowns installed and new tires put on. Reading up on all the systems in the literature that came with the camper--the gals were the original owners and still had all that stuff! Camper currently sitting on a small flatbed trailer I have--perfect size until I get it on the truck.

We are loving it! we also like that it wasn't a lot of money so it really isn't a huge gamble. Fun projects coming soon!
I just took my TC off the truck today. For the winter months. Since I live in NE Minnesota. Truck feels naked without it. Had been on the truck since April. All orginal. 1972 El Dorado with a few bumps and bruises but in pretty great shape for the age. No bathroom in it tho but I do have a compost toilet that I made for it. Her name is Mable and the truck, which is white, is Betty White. Lol. Lil Spitfire. Lol.
