Just found your channel as I’m venturing into my “part-time” van life TH-cam journey so been trying to learn as much as i can from other creators. Been binging your videos and this popped up! Thanks for being open and honest about drinking. I’m currently on a journey with limiting the amount I drink. I have a lot of social anxiety and use alcohol to calm those nerves. And as a social person, that means I drink quite often when I have a social season. I use to also think I was an introvert but now I just think it’s more anxiety over anything and a lot of that, ive learned, stems from growing up in the closet and trying to be someone else for years. For 20 years, I pretended to be someone else at times, so it’s hard to break that mold. I feel more myself around others with alcohol because i become more open vs closed off and shy… but I hope one day I can be comfortably me without it. Thanks again for being so open and honest 🫶🏼

To be honest, it was very liberating saying no to social situations when I first decided to give up alcohol. After a few weeks, I found myself still going to bars and joining friends for social gatherings, small parties and wasn't even tempted to drink. it was weird, I just felt satisfied on drinking and allowed myself to be "awkward" or leave when it was time ,rather than being one of the last people there to continue the party. it is very freeing, just give it a shot. it's definitely a journey so go easy on yourself and give yourself grace. not one thing works for everyone.
Awesome , I don’t drink majority of the time, but have done a shot here and there at family gathering very rare , I have medical marijuana, I take meds too , but love you guys , I watch the videos out of order , lol

55 years of drinking alcohol on and off. I have overindulged more times than I care to admit. I drink beer only and I do not keep it in my house. I go out with friends, and I order a specialty beer, one or two glasses and that is it.

When I bartended a regular who was a member of the Sioux Nation always ordered a Pepsi. I never questioned why. I don't consider a bar as a drinking venue, but rather of a social venue. He volunteered to tell me that the reason he didn't drink alcoholic beverages was because when he did, he broke out in handcuffs! 😄 I respect anyone who knows their limits.
I love this laid back, day in the life video. I drank a little in my early 20s but never really "got" why it was fun. Maybe that's strange but it's also expensive! Now I struggle with depression and since alcohol is a depressant I steer clear. I want to focus on food and drink that heals and nourishes me. I notice that you two also focus on that with the breakfast smoothies and supplements. I like Amber's beer reviews because she's so cute with them! I drank and smoked several things quite a bit in my 20's and early 30's. One day, I woke up and, for me, I decided that that's the thongs you do when you're young. For me to be a "grown-up", I couldn't do those things anymore. Haven't smoked anything in 8 years. I do still drink a little wine now and then.
You are totally right! Giulietta smashed her finger between a piece of furniture and a guard rail when we were helping someone move. It’s taking a long time to grow out!

My oldest brother was killed by a drunk firefighter. He was never held accountable although the police found a trail of beer bottles he had thrown out of his truck. They knew they belonged to him because he had a six pack of beer not opened in his truck. My brother was coming home from a ROTC dance and it happened 3 doors down from our home. The car was hit so hard that it crushed my brother when it flipped they said at least 2 times. They had just turned onto our street and the car he was riding in was broadsided . None of the boys in the car he was in had been drinking. My brother was the only one who was killed. I would never drink because of this. Your story was great and one that many could learn from. Hello Beautiful Ladies. I too quit drinking in my later 20s. I was sober 20 years. I occasionally have a drink now. I don't drink to get drunk but I do have 1 or 2 while I'm camping. Bcuz I don't have to drive anywhere and I usually go by myself. My quiet time. I do not drink beer, I prefer a Mike's Hard Black Cherry. And Boone's Farm Wine. Then flavor name escapes me, but it's a berry too. Bartles and James when I can find them. Then when I feel like a quick shot its Butterscotch Schnapps or Root Beer Schnapps. Definitely not all together. I don't miss spending the money or the hangovers. I'll buy the 6 packs and they last me awhile. I don't have to drink like I use to. It got pretty bad by the end where I had the shakes in the morning and had to have a drink. For breakfast. It took me losing a very good friend to get me to quit. Cold Turkey. My friend got hit and killed by a drunk driver while riding his motorcycle. It could have been me hitting him bcuz I drove drunk all the time. Another friend said I drove better when I was drunk bcuz I actually did the speed limit. I have a horrible lead foot when I'm sober. So nowadays I'd rather drive drunk people home from the bar. And watch them make asses of themselves. I'm so proud of you for sticking to it. It's ok. And I'm happy to hear you don't tell Amber she needs to quit. Since she doesn't drink like she needs it. Sobriety can be hard to accomplish. But you can't force someone to quit if they're not ready. They have to do it themselves. Hang in there. Hugs and loves sent your way from NE Minnesota. You hit a good one with the “Cidery”! What a good idea to bring Winston’s dog bed. Amazing how the comforts of their beds really helps dogs to relax. One of my senior furry girls has a bed on the floor of the backseat of the car and she totally relaxes in it when we travel. Her senior sister relaxes in her child’s seat which used to belong to my 21 year old grandson. She just loves riding in it! Enjoy your travels and we all look forward to your next video. I really enjoy the taste of craft coffee but am not opposed to a cup of Folgers. I love to support the local businesses as well as buy high quality stuff that I enjoy consuming. that way it lasts longer and nothing goes to waste. in my opinion, good coffee is worth it!

I am with ya great respect in your decision. I made the same decision that it is not needed in my life I don’t smoke either. Then after not drinking even socially anymore for years I developed this whole coffee addiction. I like you have MULTIPLE gadgets to make coffee and am glad to see breweries and such offer craft coffees. I really enjoy the taste of craft coffee but am not opposed to a cup of Folgers. I love to support the local businesses as well as buy high quality stuff that I enjoy consuming. that way it lasts longer and nothing goes to waste. in my opinion, good coffee is worth it!

I don't drink because I just don't like the taste of alcohol, I never could get into it.
I actually love the taste of wine & beer. but they make some good N/a beers that I will enjoy every blue moon.

I have never wondered why you don't drink. I have many friends who do not and myself I have an occasional seltzer. Mostly on a weekend day and I usually only drink one. I am all about you do you and I will do me. (haha). I enjoy your videos so much thank you for sharing.

The cider brewery looks like a place I’d like to try. Not an alcohol consumer either. Hate the feeling. When I was in my teens and wanted to fit in at a party I’d hold one full beer all night.😂 Funny that you finally got to using your chill area in your camper. Looks cozy!

I am with ya great respect in your decision. I made the same decision that it is not needed in my life I don’t smoke either. Then after not drinking even socially anymore for years I developed this whole coffee addiction. I like you have MULTIPLE gadgets to make coffee and am glad to see breweries and such offer craft coffees. Like your coffee reviews and seeing what non alcoholic choices are available at the places you visit.
Love your outlook! Coffee is such a healthier obsession and we are OK with that! We promise to keep the coffee coming!

I went eight years without drinking. It was ok. Then I started drinking again but I like white Russians. Not to get drunk but to enjoy the drink. It's all good.
