- Preparing our 1999 Lance Truck Camper to hit the road! We are leaving our 6 month work camping job in Texas, we are welcoming new adventures.
Honey, I Roam: American explorers, camping professionals, outdoor cooking enthusiasts. We are Amber & Giulietta: A vibrant couple of 13 years with our sweet pup Winston. We quit our corporate jobs and left our home in San Francisco to live in a TINY CAMPER and travel America.

Hi! Best of luck with your new-2-U camping setup. It is highly recommended to wear gloves while emptying the tanks, either disposables or else thick rubber gloves dedicated to this task. Happy Trails!!
yes! Unfortunately didn't have any gloves this time around but we have dedicated gloves for handing the dumping 😁😁😁

I just love to see how much you love your little one. it really warms my heart. Love that you cover her when it's cold. My little one who was 14 yrs old, was a Pomeranian/Chihuahua, just passed away, and it has been very difficult, and when I see you ladies how much you care for each other and the little one, makes my day better. I miss my little one so so much, and my frinds tell me I should eventually think to get another dog or cat, but I myself cannot go thru this again. What a great 6 months at the Frio! Congrats on getting the truck camper operational. When dealing with the stinky slinky I suggest having disposable gloves near by the valves so you have them ready.
You're absolutely right about the gloves! finally got to a store to pick some up. Good lookin out.
Also, we feel so grateful to have had those 6 months at Riverbend On The Frio, truly magical.

So proud of you girls and your journey and I love your new home and it's going to make your life so much easier having your own bathroom having your own shower having your own little home to cook in that's not in the elements whether it rains or shines you got a little home and you got to wait to access some terrain that you may not have been able to... Lance campers are awesome! I still consider them a tiny camper. A whole lot less confining than a range runner, but still considerably smaller than most honkin big travel trailers. Cannot wait to see what happens with this. By the way, most folks I know still put a bag in the potty for poop…. Just sayin…..😄
thanks, it certainly feels like a tiny camper when we are both in the hallway area crowding up the space lol! but we are certainly happy with it and warming up to it nicely

Thanks! One more ps; most dumps have a hose so you can rinse out your stinky slinky. Or a least carry your own hose because as you're dumping at pay dump sites you can take your garden hose and rinse out your tanks as you dump them.

@@honeyiroam that's a good thing. They work great for lots of things as well. Checking oil, fuel fill, change tires, etc.
So...where do you do #2?
we can do it in the camper but haven't yet! If we were boon docking and hat was our only option, we'd go for it lol. Dumping the black tank is just like any RV so we feel good about it
