I got put in three IB matches back to back with a sweet biz War Rig titan. I made it my entire mission to freeze him from an off angle with my Cryosthesia 77k. It was the most fun I have had against that set up in a long time.
Polaris Lance is one of the best scouts in the game and feels amazing to use. The thing is good for solar builds and is one of the most solid scouts in the game. What a list!
I just started playing around with it since my pattern was largely Get Tower Exotic Get catalyst drop and activate it. By that time I can get another cipher. Get another Tower Exotic Rinse and repeat. Took it into the Crucible once to try it out, fell in love with it. Recoil is easy to deal with, and Dragonfly/No Distractions all by itself results in plenty of Control kills even without the Exotic kicking in. Prefer it to Jade Rabbit. It just feels good.

Few things to note, if anyone wants to try out any new exotic weapons! -Scavenger mods actually work again in crucible, so trace rifles are a bit more viable. -Cryosthesia's freezing shot has virtually infinite range, I tend to pair it with a quickdraw ALH sniper to get a quick cleanup if an opponent is out of range -When using cerberus, don't think of it as a shotgun and aim center-mass. I've found much more success if you simply aim for the head. -The coldheart exotic perk actually procs on titan barricades, leading you to absolutely melt the titan behind it. The fact that it's a special weapon also means bonus damage against the barricade as well. -Symmetry works insanely well with solar warlock with heat rises. With the easy radiant proc, the damage is boosted to a 4 shot headshot. With heat rises, you could get headshots fairly easily. -Ruinous effigy synergizes scarily well with blink. The thing with Ruinous is that it forces you to learn how to position yourself in a match, it's a great gun to make you learn how to use cover and the third-person mode to your advantage. My favorite build currently is a voidwalker astrocyte verse build, and I haven't cackled harder in my life when I give my opponents the taste of my lean-flavored powerbomb after immediately materializing thirty feet above them. 10/10. Yeah idk. Some of these are agreeable but a lot of high skill cealing weapons got a low score just bcz skill issue i guess. Symmetry and fighting lion stick out like a sore thumb. P lance too cuz my man doesn't know it 2 shots after a kill with radiant lmao
Quicksilver Storm was criminally underrated. 50 rounds in the mag, great rpm and really good stability. The rockets and grenades are pure bonus. Don't even need the catalyst. Wishender should have been higher too. The level of information for high level play is really impactful
I agree I am using quicksilver storm (with the catalyst) and it seems at least b tier Plus if you do die on a close gun fight there is a 75% chance they will die too from a clutch rocket after you
I totally agree with both especially wish ender with the over penetration it has now thanks to the season artifact and the damage output you can kill with it using just one headshot at full power and I minimal shot

Definitely disagree on quicksilver storm being D tier. For one its the best 720rpm and they are arguably the best ARs right now having about 30m of range with the fastest TTK of any archetype. And the TTK does get a boost when the rocket his, it is inconsistent but does help. However I've consistently been able to get the grenades and being able to pop barricades easily and the occasional Well is absolutely hilarious. Realistically no exotic AR has a better TTK unless they spin up which isn't the most reliable and movement being invaluable at high level play makes them impractical in something like Trials. Personally I'd say that Quicksilver Storm was the best exotic AR pre lightfall and still is post.
True, his ranking really didn't seem to correlate with the qualities of the guns, more like just how much he liked the gun. Which is fine, but it just feels like odd juxtaposed the way he presented it.
I’d like to contest Coldheart; it might not seem too interesting, but when compared with traces that DON’T increase damage over time, that actually makes all the difference in TTK/forgiveness. If you encounter multiple enemies, it’ll hit max damage after the first kill and all following enemies will be instantly deleted. I’ve found extreme success using Coldheart lately. It’s also capable of eliminating Well of Radiance players if you’re lucky and you have the ammo for it, which isn’t hard post-Lightfall. (edit: they patched the ammo and I’m devastated) It’s also just really cool lol. Other trace rifles exist, but none of them match its feel. So maybe I’m a little biased. edit: wtf, how is Malfeasance above it?! This is a travesty!
As a well main, even in PvP, I was surprised when someone with coldheart just vaporized me while in my well once. I've since leaned to give it some more respect.
Even if it didn’t make a difference, it deserves to be much higher than the E tier. I’d put it C, as I’d use it over many of the weapons in there such as arbalest
Yes!!! thank you, as someone with more then 4,000 pvp kills on my coldheart the ttk bump makes all the difference in gunfights against good opponents. It does have a steep learning curve so I guess for tier lists where they just play 2 games with the gun it can be hard to see it's potential.
Glad you differentiated between M&K and Controller for Crimson. I am a controller player and LOVE crimson especially with full auto now part of the controls option. Crazy strong and can go on long runs but for M&K its not a good choice
I actually have my own disagreements about the placings of weapons personally and feel that Duality just eats Chaperone now in terms of both ease of use and stats overall. 1 Reload Speed is lower than 30 BUT duality reloads all at once meaning its automatically better for reloading. Duality is the king of range and versatility being that Chaperone barely has any range over it.
I'll agree that Duality is more versatile, but Chaperone is still a far superior slug in my opinion. More aim assist, more range, and when roadborn is active, more handling.
@@ShadowDestiny2 They both do have high handling and can use subclasses or classes to max it out. As for Range stat, yeah only by 45in which Chaperone's range without Roadborn is that of a legendary slug. Aim Assistance wise....Chaperone does beat it by 5. If you do get Duality's exotic perk going though with the ammo....Duality will map better than Chaperone due to it increasing damage by 55% in PvP iirc at 5 stacks. But I will say...I've tried using Chaperone and it just didn't go well. Meanwhile with Heritage (non-HFG roll), I was able to map people with it and land far more consistent kills than Chaperone. Chaperone just feels oof to be honest in my humble opinion. I don't know what its catalyst would be though.

I can say with complete honesty, that I agree with every single ranking on this list... except one. Wish Ender is an A+ without a doubt. Paired with a Hunter using Oathkeepers it is literally infinite ESP and information for the team. In 3v3 this has been my go-to weapon since its release. The information alone is a major edge over any other weapon in the game, but it also 1 Shots to the head when an enemy has lost at least 30% of their shield, making it an excellent follow up weapon and even first engage as it leaves them with 25% health max. Easy kills for your teammates who know exactly where they are and what they're doing thanks to you being able to see through walls. Personally, I'd put it in S tier, but only on a Hunter with Oathkeepers. Every other class is A+ ❤️
I disagree w/ Cerberus +1 bc of the misinformation. Its' spread isn't random it rotates around the center bullet so if you aim for the head it will just kill faster bc of the extra bullets damage that hits as it rotates around
On Traveler's Chosen: With the Catalyst, it also has Osmosis and Surplus. Surplus on top of Gift of the Traveler means you basically have max weapon stats across the board at just about all times.
I have yet to see a tier list where people put any respect on Skyburner, it’s a high impact scout with 90 aim assist and EP, the thing can’t miss heads and flinches to high hell. On long range maps it’s easily at least A tier
I know! It’s got a faster ttk at base then any hand cannon and twice the range! You can also launch the hipfire shots around corners and have wall hacks for a short time
Way back in D1, Telesto caught the whole crucible off-guard for about a day, lol. No one who hadn't gotten/used it seemed to know the shots stuck, so I had about a dozen rounds where I didn't even need to aim, I'd just "miss" my shots near someone taking cover, and the delayed explosion would get them for me. Then everyone figured it out and it became almost entirely useless overnight.
With the new updated catalyst, Traveler’s Chosen is even better. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s my favorite weapon for PvP. It effectively rewards me for playing the way I love to play, which is more gunplay focused instead of ability focused.
I'd like to make a note about Bastion since one was made about Arbalest: Bastion, like The Arbalest, used to be a bit of a problem child when it launched, you were capable of killing three Max Resilience Guardians from outside Mindbender's Range (or damn near close) with each trigger pull. You could even take out Supers without a problem, it was that strong. Then Bungie nerfed it because they brought Trials back and it was a problem in Trials.

FYI, grav lance is getting a buff in a week or so that will increase its RPM and make the damage gap between the two shots smaller, making it far not forgiving.
A little weird interaction that I discovered about Le monarche poison arrows. If fully charged, you can shoot it at a hydra's shield and still poison it. Just in case no one knows yet

For sweet bossiness use the war rig for almost infinite ammo and never have to reload I just walk around the map holding down shoot cus it takes like 70 seconds to run out of ammo
I have been absolutely slapping with the Quicksilver in Iron Banner. Where you don't get the nades too. S Tier for me. I also got the catalyst while doing it. Since it works with the nades it doesn't help for IB but I'm still happy.
I see people still don't know that Cerberus+1 has one barrel that will always hit center dot on your cross hair when you aim. It isn't as good as the meta, but I'm sick of it not getting proper representation as it is my favorite exotic. It's actually probably B to A- tier if you actually understand how it works.
Has a weird damage fall off but I agree, can chew stupid guardians like paper if you know what youre doing. Definitely should have a "varied upon use" rank haha
It was my first exotic and thus my first main, so I got used to its odd quirks. The big negative is it's not highly accurate at any range since the shots go everywhere. Anyone using cover and a normal auto is superior The pluses: Increasing damage at mid range that melts anyone in the open. Get two opponents close together at mid range and you basically melt them at the same time. I've gotten tons of double kills. The wide spread means you constantly do damage even if you're on the move. The shots will never allow an opponent(s) to heal and you can just keep moving while wearing people trying to escape down. Good against the nimble low health opponent. The catalyst allows for close range single heavy shots that can deal with nearby opponents if you're using a long range weapon in the energy category. And it's a Titan Barrier buster. With every shot hitting, it destroys them faster than anything. I'm sure I've greatly annoyed a Titan who puts down a barrier and it gets knocked down in a couple of seconds, frequently by someone who's only poking around a corner just enough to shoot the edge of the barrier and can't be hit without shifting their position.
Fire blind around the corners with the striga or thorn with the necrotic grips and the low posion damage mostly fixes itself especially if the enemy team is bunched up
I remember when I first started playing Destiny and had gotten the Eriana’s. That was deadass my favorite weapon and I would go into Crucible terrorizing lobbies with it. If anybody was already shot even just once, all it took was one shot from me to finish them off. 😂
Monte Carlo with Sunbracers is just Chef's kiss. Built correctly, you can spam your abilities. Grenades grant melee, class, and super, melee grants grenades, monte grants melee.
Btw Cerberus +1's spread was never random, it has a consistent spread. The 3 extra bullets spread rotates as you hold the trigger. If you aim for the head every other bullet at around 25m and below will hit as extra damage.
Yeah. While it's not the best, nor most accurate weapon, it's a lot better than people give it credit for. It's the epitome of what the term 'Exotic' should mean. It has traits that are unique to that weapon you have to learn to use for certain situations. Also drive Titan's nuts by knocking their shields down a couple of seconds after they put it up.
Disagree heavily with the Polaris placement, as one of the dozen or so people who main it. The true strength (other than firefly and perfect fifth) is that the reticle does not move, at least on console, making it extremely good even for mid range duels with hand cannons. Unfortunately it lost its ability to 2 tap with the perfect fifth burn being converted to scorch, but its still a solid weapon. C tier at lowest.
You're up to 13 people. I finally started using it for the first time since grabbing it out of the Tower and finishing the catalyst (Because by the time you finish there's another Tower Exotic catalyst to work on. ) I like scouts in general, but the feel on that one is probably the most comfortable. So much so when I used Jade Rabbit (finally had the catalyst to drop on that after a year), it felt clunky in comparison. Mida is good too. I think he doesn't like Scouts or Bows very much from the way he talked. I don't care for bows myself so I get it.
Having the newest ornament for crimson and having fov of 95. Crimson has been such a fun weapon to use, im on m&k btw. Newest ornament makes everything visible, including the reticle dot when aiming down sights. 😊
21:27 atm yes, but not too long ago Bad Juju had that as well, but it got fixed due to it making B.J feel weird with that recoil, idk why it worked for Outbreak
RECOMMENDATION FOR THE DIVINITY: Pair it with the Lightweight throwing knife. Just zap the target enough to make the bubble appear, then tag 'em with the knife for an easy kill.
yeah that's a super fun way to use it!! Probably my personal favorite thing to do with Divinity. However, it's still a lengthy time to kill once you account for forming the bubble, the knife throw animation, and the knife travel time. Any high skill opponent will have killed you by then.
while i was grinding nightmare containments at the end of last season, i was changing my exotic weapon every wave. Made for a fun time to just shut my brain off and enjoy goofy weapons. Bad juju really clicked with me. I was glad it got a new skin, and that bundled shader is god-tier. Bought it day one. I've been using it in quickplay and its pretty fun. The reload on kills offsets the smaller mag size. Its fun to not use the most meta build 24/7
Ive got over 20,000 kills with my Trinity Ghoul. I just discovered the pure joy that is hand cannons. I have the Sunshot and have over 3500 kills with it in just 2 weeks of using it.
Speaking for quicksilver storm after the catalyst, but what I'm saying doesn't really take it into account much. Quicksilver storm definitely deserves to be higher. It's certainly no suros regime, but the skill cap of this auto is among the same heights I'd say. Knowing when to stop firing and let your rocket finish the job can be the difference between you winning an engagement or you getting a trade. Or even losing. Also, the grenades can one shot ANY construct type object created by guardians save for a bubble. But I know pre-bubble nerf, 3 quicksilver grenades could take a massive chunk out of the bubble's health. Seriously. This thing one shots barricades, tether anchors, entire walls of stasis crystals, even a well of radiance dies in one grenade shot. The grenades also don't do self damage, and don't bounce. There are many times when I will use it like a pseudo shotgun, and a shot and a melee will kill. So definitely doesn't deserve to be in D tier. I'd say it's much more deserving of C tier.
now me personally I'm a PvE player mainly but I do dabble in PvP and my main for both is ace for two reasons, to respect Cayde and because its just a really good gun overall so seeing it in S tier makes me happy.
5:39 (crimson) I play keyboard and mouse with 105 fov and while the recoil does cover up targets, I got used to it and could hit like half precision shots when PvE i dont doo too much PvP tho so i recommend trying it and see for yourself.
A few months ago there was a skin for crimson in eververse, which didn't hide the red dot, so you could aim normally even at highest fov. Fov decreasing below 85-95 also shows red dot in aim.
Id like to see this person's PVE list, the thing is even if you disagree its education since he explains the weapons well, pros and cons, and the perks.
heavily disagree on wish ender being a bad bow. it does a LOT of damage and that helps very well for bow peeking. Especially on hunter with oathkeepers, its worth imo
The worst part about skyburners is that they got rid of its good perks only to give it scorch on hipfire, no more tracking and no more piercing cabal shields.
Counter point about Divinity Envelop an enemy Guardian with the divvy cage, teammates shoot the cage, insta crits for teammates Yes, it requires coordination, but it can be done. And yes, its less viable in 3v3, but in 6v6 it can be pretty fun

I can say with complete honesty, that I agree with every single ranking on this list... except one.
Wish Ender is an A+ without a doubt. Paired with a Hunter using Oathkeepers it is literally infinite ESP and information for the team. In 3v3 this has been my go-to weapon since its release. The information alone is a major edge over any other weapon in the game, but it also 1 Shots to the head when an enemy has lost at least 30% of their shield, making it an excellent follow up weapon and even first engage as it leaves them with 25% health max. Easy kills for your teammates who know exactly where they are and what they're doing thanks to you being able to see through walls. Personally, I'd put it in S tier, but only on a Hunter with Oathkeepers. Every other class is A+ ❤️
I disagree w/ Cerberus +1 bc of the misinformation. Its' spread isn't random it rotates around the center bullet so if you aim for the head it will just kill faster bc of the extra bullets damage that hits as it rotates around
On Traveler's Chosen: With the Catalyst, it also has Osmosis and Surplus. Surplus on top of Gift of the Traveler means you basically have max weapon stats across the board at just about all times.
I have yet to see a tier list where people put any respect on Skyburner, it’s a high impact scout with 90 aim assist and EP, the thing can’t miss heads and flinches to high hell. On long range maps it’s easily at least A tier
I know! It’s got a faster ttk at base then any hand cannon and twice the range! You can also launch the hipfire shots around corners and have wall hacks for a short time

Way back in D1, Telesto caught the whole crucible off-guard for about a day, lol.
No one who hadn't gotten/used it seemed to know the shots stuck, so I had about a dozen rounds where I didn't even need to aim, I'd just "miss" my shots near someone taking cover, and the delayed explosion would get them for me.
Then everyone figured it out and it became almost entirely useless overnight.

With the new updated catalyst, Traveler’s Chosen is even better. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s my favorite weapon for PvP. It effectively rewards me for playing the way I love to play, which is more gunplay focused instead of ability focused.

I'd like to make a note about Bastion since one was made about Arbalest: Bastion, like The Arbalest, used to be a bit of a problem child when it launched, you were capable of killing three Max Resilience Guardians from outside Mindbender's Range (or damn near close) with each trigger pull. You could even take out Supers without a problem, it was that strong. Then Bungie nerfed it because they brought Trials back and it was a problem in Trials.
I miss the old DMT exotic perk of damage increase based off headshot or crit hits. That with 4th times or subsistence was so good in PVE.

A little weird interaction that I discovered about Le monarche poison arrows. If fully charged, you can shoot it at a hydra's shield and still poison it. Just in case no one knows yet

Tractor Cannon was so fun to use when it one shot people back then, watching there body fly into a wall
I use the crimson for so long now it was my first exotic and I love it both on vanguard and pvp
you can always kick the addiction of destiny 2, gambling and drinking CAN'T possibly ruin your life more than destiny 2
For sweet bossiness use the war rig for almost infinite ammo and never have to reload I just walk around the map holding down shoot cus it takes like 70 seconds to run out of ammo

I have been absolutely slapping with the Quicksilver in Iron Banner. Where you don't get the nades too. S Tier for me. I also got the catalyst while doing it. Since it works with the nades it doesn't help for IB but I'm still happy.

I see people still don't know that Cerberus+1 has one barrel that will always hit center dot on your cross hair when you aim. It isn't as good as the meta, but I'm sick of it not getting proper representation as it is my favorite exotic. It's actually probably B to A- tier if you actually understand how it works.

@Pimenta Rules totally agree, dude! It ain't meta by any means, but if you're good with autos, it slaps.
It was my first exotic and thus my first main, so I got used to its odd quirks. The big negative is it's not highly accurate at any range since the shots go everywhere. Anyone using cover and a normal auto is superior
The pluses:
Increasing damage at mid range that melts anyone in the open. Get two opponents close together at mid range and you basically melt them at the same time. I've gotten tons of double kills.
The wide spread means you constantly do damage even if you're on the move. The shots will never allow an opponent(s) to heal and you can just keep moving while wearing people trying to escape down. Good against the nimble low health opponent.
The catalyst allows for close range single heavy shots that can deal with nearby opponents if you're using a long range weapon in the energy category.
And it's a Titan Barrier buster. With every shot hitting, it destroys them faster than anything. I'm sure I've greatly annoyed a Titan who puts down a barrier and it gets knocked down in a couple of seconds, frequently by someone who's only poking around a corner just enough to shoot the edge of the barrier and can't be hit without shifting their position.
Fire blind around the corners with the striga or thorn with the necrotic grips and the low posion damage mostly fixes itself especially if the enemy team is bunched up

I remember when I first started playing Destiny and had gotten the Eriana’s. That was deadass my favorite weapon and I would go into Crucible terrorizing lobbies with it. If anybody was already shot even just once, all it took was one shot from me to finish them off. 😂

Monte Carlo with Sunbracers is just Chef's kiss. Built correctly, you can spam your abilities. Grenades grant melee, class, and super, melee grants grenades, monte grants melee.
I missed getting that scout/pulse exotic and was hoping they’d put it in vault or xur by now. Feels bad.
Btw Cerberus +1's spread was never random, it has a consistent spread. The 3 extra bullets spread rotates as you hold the trigger. If you aim for the head every other bullet at around 25m and below will hit as extra damage.
Also you not supposed to use it like a rifle, its more akin to a shotgun.

Yeah. While it's not the best, nor most accurate weapon, it's a lot better than people give it credit for. It's the epitome of what the term 'Exotic' should mean. It has traits that are unique to that weapon you have to learn to use for certain situations.
Also drive Titan's nuts by knocking their shields down a couple of seconds after they put it up.

Disagree heavily with the Polaris placement, as one of the dozen or so people who main it. The true strength (other than firefly and perfect fifth) is that the reticle does not move, at least on console, making it extremely good even for mid range duels with hand cannons. Unfortunately it lost its ability to 2 tap with the perfect fifth burn being converted to scorch, but its still a solid weapon. C tier at lowest.

You're up to 13 people. I finally started using it for the first time since grabbing it out of the Tower and finishing the catalyst (Because by the time you finish there's another Tower Exotic catalyst to work on. ) I like scouts in general, but the feel on that one is probably the most comfortable. So much so when I used Jade Rabbit (finally had the catalyst to drop on that after a year), it felt clunky in comparison. Mida is good too. I think he doesn't like Scouts or Bows very much from the way he talked. I don't care for bows myself so I get it.

Having the newest ornament for crimson and having fov of 95. Crimson has been such a fun weapon to use, im on m&k btw. Newest ornament makes everything visible, including the reticle dot when aiming down sights. 😊

Levy's Breath is underrated as well. It's basically two easy kills if you get your hands on heavy ammo.
Crimson does some nice flinch, so I use it against snipers if the range map is small enough.
RECOMMENDATION FOR THE DIVINITY: Pair it with the Lightweight throwing knife. Just zap the target enough to make the bubble appear, then tag 'em with the knife for an easy kill.
yeah that's a super fun way to use it!! Probably my personal favorite thing to do with Divinity. However, it's still a lengthy time to kill once you account for forming the bubble, the knife throw animation, and the knife travel time. Any high skill opponent will have killed you by then.

while i was grinding nightmare containments at the end of last season, i was changing my exotic weapon every wave. Made for a fun time to just shut my brain off and enjoy goofy weapons. Bad juju really clicked with me. I was glad it got a new skin, and that bundled shader is god-tier. Bought it day one. I've been using it in quickplay and its pretty fun. The reload on kills offsets the smaller mag size. Its fun to not use the most meta build 24/7

Ive got over 20,000 kills with my Trinity Ghoul. I just discovered the pure joy that is hand cannons. I have the Sunshot and have over 3500 kills with it in just 2 weeks of using it.

Speaking for quicksilver storm after the catalyst, but what I'm saying doesn't really take it into account much.
Quicksilver storm definitely deserves to be higher. It's certainly no suros regime, but the skill cap of this auto is among the same heights I'd say. Knowing when to stop firing and let your rocket finish the job can be the difference between you winning an engagement or you getting a trade. Or even losing. Also, the grenades can one shot ANY construct type object created by guardians save for a bubble. But I know pre-bubble nerf, 3 quicksilver grenades could take a massive chunk out of the bubble's health.
Seriously. This thing one shots barricades, tether anchors, entire walls of stasis crystals, even a well of radiance dies in one grenade shot. The grenades also don't do self damage, and don't bounce. There are many times when I will use it like a pseudo shotgun, and a shot and a melee will kill.
So definitely doesn't deserve to be in D tier. I'd say it's much more deserving of C tier.
now me personally I'm a PvE player mainly but I do dabble in PvP and my main for both is ace for two reasons, to respect Cayde and because its just a really good gun overall so seeing it in S tier makes me happy.

5:39 (crimson) I play keyboard and mouse with 105 fov and while the recoil does cover up targets, I got used to it and could hit like half precision shots when PvE i dont doo too much PvP tho so i recommend trying it and see for yourself.
A few months ago there was a skin for crimson in eververse, which didn't hide the red dot, so you could aim normally even at highest fov. Fov decreasing below 85-95 also shows red dot in aim.
Id like to see this person's PVE list, the thing is even if you disagree its education since he explains the weapons well, pros and cons, and the perks.
