I think Khvostov is noticeably better than everything else in the game and I have a feeling thats gonna become really apparent this weekend now that more people have it

Maybe the aim assist being so high is why it's feeling so good? Idk cause isn't summoner technically better? Idk but khvostov shoots Beach balls
@MegaGaige it's definitely the stupid high AA that helps it. But also, the exotic perk does help it with its ttk pretty much give it target lock. Those are the two main reasons it is so strong.

Rat king was changed to shoot like a rapid fire frame sidearm. It’s a lot easier to use now
I was using it yesterday, it does feel better but 37 range js not great and it’s only better if you have the Catalyst. Travelers Chosen is still the GOAT and also feels better

If you use an arc subclass or arc super on prismatic , you can run elemental capacitor on the someday instead of threat detector and always have 100 handling with 90+ range
Personally I think TD is better because almost the only time when your handling matters on a shotgun is when an enemy is within 15 meters. Also, the animation scalar is more powerful than raw handling stat. With TDx1 you have effectively the same draw / ADS time as 100 handling. 55 handling + TDx1 gives 25 handling and 0.9 animation scalar equals within .02s of each other.
Not to mention the insanity that is TDx2

Def better if your running arc but arc is so bad these days at least on prismatic it’s usable I suppose but I feel like your def throwing if your using arc in crucible right now
@@benyoung1224 prismatic hunter with storms edge is what i use, as for my exotic i use a class item with ophidian+coyote, which makes every gun much better anyway, and lets me dodge more and make more clones 🫡

What warlock chest piece you using?
Rose i have surpringly dropped my rap/explosive rose and im using rap hit/eye of storm it just makes it easier to stay on target with my controller sticks losing their stiffness
As someone who basically mains Dead Man's Tale in PvP with a controller it is great, it did take me a bit of practice to get a grip on the hipfire.
Also I believe they adjusted Rat King's recoil type to make it more like Rapid Frame Sidearms 🤔 I could be wrong

This list is great for newer players, but I’d like to add a couple of weapons:
- Luna’s Howl from either onslaught or the keyosk slaps hard, maghowl absolutely chunks and there is zero recoil
- Abyss Defiant has been a great weapon, it maps people and zen gives it no recoil, swashbuckler is a great perk on stasis warlock or knockout titan
- Revision Zero (hear me out) is a stat monster, the two burst goes crazy, and the sniper win condition has crazy aim assist. It’s been my sleeper pick recently.
I was checking my vault the other day and found a shiny elsie’s rifle with hammer forged richochet keep away headseaker and stability master work and ever since then it was my secret card to get flawless in trials
Have they fix the deadman hip fire aim? It use to shoot low when it first came out
Another one that I recommend is the pulse rifle Relentless from the prophecy dungeon, that thing destroys with any rolls and it's not hard to get
Really good takes on all of these, just missing a few weapons imo:
Thorn, Mercurial overreach and defiance of yasmin (though I see why you wouldnt include snipers given the current meta), Forerunner (it now 3taps any resil again), Midhas reckoning with backup plan (i think the stasis high impact from trials is just as good), BXR with snapshot+BER, kept confidence and nation of beasts (best energy 140 as far as I know)
Edit: And the crota autorifle was really good last time i checked

Can you come up with a good prismatic build to use with rat king? I've never used it before but saw it was on your list
Wormhusk and the aspect that gives you radiant on melee hits with the dodge that gives you melee back is the only build any hunter ever will need. Throw melee get radiant push if your somehow loosing dodge get health get clone probably slow them get melee back kill go invis rinse and repeat

Elemental capacitor is a good pick also for the someday If you run arc sub class
Not mentioning blast furnace is wild. I have the god roll (headseeker, rapid hit) And it just feels so so good. There's no recoil it has like 90 range so it's really good at long ranges. You can two tap with enough stacks of rapid hit and it's very easy to get high stacks because each bullet counts so one burst to someone's head and you instantly have times four stacks. It's very very slept on it just feels incredible in PvP. Obviously depends on the maps but I would say on more open maps it's one of the best in the game right now I would seriously recommend trying it.
Not even mentioning opening shot on igneous is crazy.
The riposte feels really good as well.
Thorn and Ace are my favorite HC super good in pvp
DMT has been glued to my hand, i think bungie finally found the perfect spot for it

Round robin with elem cap and keepaway is a good contender with almost max range, 80+ handling on arc
Keep away is a good 1 if you don't want to use arc

As someone who's pretty new to PVP I'd love a video from someone with your experience about the "beginners guide to PVP" Basically, what heuristics in buildcrafting should I be hitting? Do I need 100 resilience? How do I develop game sense? What modes should I be playing for the best XP, etc
BXR still slaps ngl. Also been using a ton if Rufus's Fury and that thing is a laser.
What weapon combos do you prefer? I'm fairly new to the game and cant quite find a balanced load out. Like auto rifle with a hand cannon? Pulse with HC?
Pretty much always use a primary + special weapon, e.g. HC/pulse/auto + shotgun/sniper/fusion

Love what they've done to Rat king ❤🔫, I run it with Elsie's GR shiny zen Frenzy KC headseeker fully enhanced for log ranges or my positive outlook, enhanced zen KC, oversoul edict .
For my under average ass they do me good 👍🏻

on someday if you run prismatic run what you normally do but run ecap and an arc super and you can get almost 100 range and have 100 handling all the time! Good video though I enjoyed this🎉
This might be a dumb question I have the pvp god roll of the messenger from my first ever trials run that I got when I went to the lighthouse. it has corkscrew rifling, high caliber rounds, rapid hit, and desperado. would you consider this a good weapon still? its a 340 with 40 in the mag and a stability masterwork.
it is still a very good weapon. one of the best high impact pulse rifles. if this was a top 20 list, it probably would have been on it.
I perform better with Messenger than even exotic high impacts

You should try Trespasser. I used it because I needed sidearm kills for the Pathfinder and it was the first one I saw in my vault. It was actually surprising how good it felt in pvp. Most sidearms on mouse and keyboard are just terrible but the recoil animation on Trespasser lets you actually see your target for the burst and the aim assist works properly. And getting a kill and reloading grants a super burst for nine seconds. The super burst can one burst to surprising ranges and getting a kill with it reloads the weapon and activates another super burst.
Trespasser is def one of the best sidearm for mnk. It's one of the few really good sidearm for it

i think the chest is shadow broker (mass effect set), the legs are from the vampire set during festival of the lost
i think missing mercurial/beloved or whatever you consider to be the best sniper along with heliocentric qsc is a problem but then again not everyone snipes and helio is hard to farm a good roll and hard to use without a sniper
I think a weapon everyone is sleeping on are the new Heavy Burst Pulses which is the Aisha's Care and to a lesser the upcoming Corrasion. It's essentially a handcannon with pulse rifle range. It has a .87 ttk which is a three burst and one of those shots can be a body shot. The burst happens incredibly fast so you can treat it like a handcannon in terms of peek shooting unlike other pulse alternatives that make you commit too hard like rapid-fires and lightweights. Since it has a fast fire rate too, it's not as punished as a high-impact if you miss a burst. I know everyone loves high-impacts but it has a twilight zone between mid and close where you can't quite reach with a shotgun and have to use the rifle where missing a burst or not hitting the 2 burst will almost certainly lose you the fight. The only downsides is that its team shooting capabilities are bad compared to 120 HC's or High Impact pulses; but the ease of use on it is unmatched.
My recommended rolls on Aisha's is either Keep Away/Zen Moment in Column 3 and then Moving Target/Headseeker in Column 4.
I have an old adept shayura's with kill clip + tunnel vision that just deletes people in 6s. Not as great in 3s but i normally dont run smgs there anyway.
Tbh any roll will do fine as long as it has high range

Not broken. still strong, tho. They made it so it will do less dmg. A 140 will do 77 with explosive. Normally doing 81. so you do a little less dmg for the increase to flinch. 77 is still enough to 3 tap. But if you go out of your range even a little it won't. so, depending on what you want.

No you get 3 shots per week (one per character) . Unless its the farmable week then you can farm as much as you would like.

Once you reshape it and use head seeker… it’s killer

Pretty sure I ran a trials match with you this past weekend I was on your team we won.
I would add a couple of weapons to this list and those weapons would be pulse riffles. After they buffed them they feels to good to use. As a no brainier example I would give u Graviton Lance this thing slaps so hard, last weeks banner fall trials proved that. I went like 4 times flawless and am not full time player or streamer. 2 I would like to give shout out to rapid fire frame pulses. If u have crafted Different Times u are winner, I melted a lot of players whit it. Same goes for Autumn Wind but it’s weeker then Different Times but also good, depends on ur build. The one that’s on a look out would be Iron Banners void pulse

Why isn’t rangefinder considered a godroll perk anymore? I have rose with slideshot and rangefinder and igneous hammer adept with quickdraw and rangefinder. Did rangefinder get a nerf sometime in the recent past? Because I just got back into destiny and the last time I played was for witch queen and I skipped playing lightfall, so it’s been well over a year since I played.
Yes it got indirectly nerfed when they changed how zoom works. It basically doesn't give you extra range anymore but increases aim assist fall-off distance instead which is nice to have but not that good compared to other perks
