It's funny because I don't remember this episode, but as the narrator was going though it, I was wondering what the moral was besides listen to your parents...except Webster was a little kid, like little little and so yeah.

This was a commonly used trope in the 70s, 80s and 90s...The little boy who accidentally sets the house ablaze after playing with matches. They did this plot on One Day At A Time, Little House on the Prairie and the movie Avalon.

I read an interesting story about the show "Webster".
The show originally wasn't even meant to have Webster.
It was a show Alex Karrass (a real-life ex-,NFL player) and his wife (who plays Catherine) pitched to the network, about an ex-football player, and their life after his retirement.
The network agreed to it, provided they add Webster to the show. Karrass agreed, as he was led to believe that Webster would be a side-character neighbour type, who would appear in one scene per ep, and would provide same cuteness and extra laughs.
Apparently, they were horrified to find that the station instead intended to turn the show into a "Diff'rent Strokes" clone, and that Webster would be the central character, and the station had hijacked the show under Alex Karrass.
