This game manipulates your bullets damage along with foot step audio, and to top it off they allow cheating to run rampant. Imagine going against cheaters then having the game NERF you at the same time.

Call of duty was officially ruined by these TTV nerds after Warzone started. Once all of those losers came from Fornite with their clickbait titles, best weapon setup, Meta, movement, etc etc thats when COD became trash. Now you have Everyone using the same gun, stupid booty slide, and having $3000 set ups just to stream to 2 people and a bunch of twitch bots.

The good old days when people just happened to find websites with their best friend Brock, I miss those days
its not just streaming and pro scene, youtubers like xclusive ace and driftor constantly making guides on best weapons, best perks and at one point all site lines on every map in the game was also what ruined it. you cant play an FPS with out having to do homework just to survive. its frustrating.
People would go off on you if you used ghost and it was really bad if you switched to your pistol when you sniping.
It died when AW came out with the loot boxing freakouts and a few years later when everyone started copying the hyper edit style of videos that MrBeast popularized. Modern TH-cam gaming has become soy. The only ones I still watch is CallMeKevin, DashieGames, and Markiplier

ping match making back in the day had no problem now i have to wait 3 times longer for a terrible expereince. used to love the games and now they more headaches. meta weapons also ruined the game. if only 5 guns worth using then why have the other guns?

I agree. Xdefiant and COD feel pretty similar as far as sweatiness goes. But the difference is COD has aim resist and nerfs your bullet damage to rig the gunfights and makes you lose to bad players. That’s the most disrespectful shit i’ve ever felt in my life. I don’t get any aim resist on xdefiant. TH-camrs say xdefiant is harder than cod but it’s actually brain dead easy imo.

You could honestly say this for anything in life. Basketball, football, soccer. Anything that has a skill gap in it, people are going to attempt to go professional in it, or try very hard at it. It’s just human nature.
I’m a huge tryhard and I understand your frustration though. It’s like me playing against college basketball players. I have no interest to go pro in basketball and could care less, and I would absolutely hate playing against that if I’m trying to play for fun
Then again, pretty much anything I do in life I obsess over and try very hard at(The gym, hiking, biking) so I wouldn’t play basketball to begin with. Just my thoughts

You'd have to take out all the money and big sponsorships out of gaming somehow. We have an unregulated monopoly and it seemingly has no limits. So a streamer can make money off of his contract, donations and sponsorships while doing nothing but playing video games, thats insane when you think about it.

Couldn't have said it any better. The good old gaming days of OG MW2/3 are long gone. I remember getting so good at those games I would use just a pistol and drop 30+ kills with deaths in the single digits on TDM.

I stopped playing COD because being an above average player SBMM was putting me on top bracket sweaty lobbies ALL the time, 1 of every 10 matches was normal regular COD where you could farm your camos, in XD even with how sweaty it became i can sit down and play normal without being hyper-focus jumpshotting pre-aiming most of the games, i don't think the sweatiness is the core problem, the frequency in COD vs XD is what makes it so unenjoyable for me

i stopped playing warzone and leauge of legends when i was invited mutliple times to develop hacking tools for the, its basically f*kd unless they make a new engine literally.
We need to start promoting more fitness in young men and adolescents hit the gym practice a sport because gaming although yes does provide entertainment but is not very healthy to be obsessed with them watching videos about them watching livestreams about them is not healthy and shouldn't be promoted
Skilled based matchmaking isn't necessary for a online shooter to be successful but i do believe it's necessary once a game hits a certain lvl of growth to be able to sustain thus lvl of the population must be catered into divisions based on skill. fortnite had zero sbmm but had to implement it to help maintain there population.
I called this kid a 🐱for backing out a 1v1 on mw3 in a PlayStation party and he got me banned for a week on psn from communicating lol

I defeated sbmm by not caring about my k/d. when the game is hard point I just turtle shell and use decoys and no weapons. I’ll still top the leaderboard with all the decoy distract/ bluff and objective xp and I’ll go 0-50 crippling my k/d. as a result I get to cammo grind against literal children
Skill-based matchmaking doesn't make a difference my very first game and my only game I literally got destroyed going zero and 40 Modern Warfare 2 I only got put in hard lobbies with a 0.65 ratio going against the best

I never liked the whole competitive aspect in BO2 back in the day I’d prefer to go back and play MW3 and BO1 multiplayer. Maybe I’m just slow and suffered brain damage from playing competitive football and hockey as a teenager. But I’d rather be this way then being a dork.

The SBMM isn't the problem, although I do wish connection was king, the other stuff bothers me. The "Aim Resist", the connection "all of a sudden" being terrible and lag spiking, and CONSTANTLY having to be number one on the team and the other team having 2 or 3 people trying to be the equivalent of me while my team has no thumbs and blindfolded. I'm cool with competition, I enjoy it. But it's the issues I listed above that really bother me. It's so annoying. I hate it. I miss being able to just play without feeling like everything is actively going against my skill. I have constantly seen you avoid this topic. You may think it doesn't exist but it does. And I think Xdefiant does indeed have SBMM. Its just missing the other stuff, which I appreciate.
Mind you, I been supporting you since A WHILE back. And will continue but man, don't avoid the obvious.

Also with your other point, i have noticed too most people sweating their asses off in lobbies ive noticed they are atleast in my experience mostly blacks or latinos like they play like they have something to prove or something. Me and my friend were talking about this exact same thing a while back while playing cod. We would see a hyper sweat in a lobby and we would be like of course look at his gamer tag he had to be a mexican look at this sweaty nerd playing like if he won his parents will give him more attention over his other 9 siblings or if he wins the game he will be let in the country.

It’s ok to be extremely cracked at a game but you should still play fairly casually unless your with a bunch of sweaty friends and you all want to try hard for fun
I don't hate skill based matchmaking because it makes easier games harder to get. I don't like skill based matchmaking because it doesn't even work and they removed team balancing in order to give it more influence. I would rather have a team of competent players going against six nuke boosting hacker sweats instead of me and 5 incompetent players going against a bunch of average sweats.
Skill based matchmaking no longer protects the casuals or unskilled or new players. It only protects the sweats wearing their MLG sweatbands and their google glasses and their tapout Tshirts with their reverse boosting. Skill based matchmaking doesn't protect the casual players it only protects reverse boosting sweats and hackers and cheaters so they need to fix it or add team balancing back in and actively protect the casuals.
At this point I would rather Activision protect noobs and casuals actively instead of the passive way known as skill based matchmaking. They need to bring back death streaks and overpowered weapons at low levels. They also need to bring back support streaks and the streaks from Cold War as options with the score streaks and kill streaks. Maximize team balancing and actively protect casuals and noobs is the only way for the game to be brought back to its roots.

Before i say anything.... Ill say (((To each their own.))) That being said, part of me kinda feels bad for those that still are slaves to multiplayer FPS's specifically COD though. These games used to be completely my bread and butter from 2007-2018 and gradually since 2019 year by year i definitely noticed how rigged lobbies have become with EOMM in multiplayer and actual real cheating on warzone... Its been about 8 months since i touched COD at all and my gaming time since then has been 1000% more enjoyable. Last time i was on warzone with my buddies, we were running quads, 3 of us are 2-2.5Kds and midway through the match we got wiped by one guy who was invisible and shooting through the wall of a building into us. I definitely dont work my ass off at my job to come home and deal with all the nonsense on COD these days. I tip my hat to those that are cool enough to keep grinding their balls off on that nonsense. 🤣🤣🤣
Same, I’ve been playing Horizon ZD a lot more lately to get away from the multiplayer craziness. I remember actually having fun in 2009 with MW2, hell even the original MW3. Last few years, you have to focus so hard to play. Why?

I play on ps5 with cross play off I see a guy bunny hoping and quick scoping at the same time with his little cdl skin , I’m 41 next week and always played cod and can still reck the lobbies 🎉 old men rule 😮but not in a sketch sort of way 😅
