In this video I will be showing you a full, start to finish cleaning of my Green Jade neocaridina shrimp tank. The steps undertaken are a regular part of my aquarium maintenance that includes (usually) monthly filter cleaning. I will also showcase how to clean your shrimp tank without losing any babies through a couple of methods spread over the video. A final note, I also use my local tap water for all my neocaridina water changes. This water has parameters of 7.8pH, 4KH and 8GH which is perfect for my little neocaridinas.

So good to see another video bro. It’s hard with kids. I have 6 tanks with 3 toddlers. Can you get an automatic water change system set up ? It would cut your time in half
I think I need to find some kind of solution like that. Manual changes and cleaning takes me all day if I'm lucky, sometimes two if things are really nasty

If my ph kh and gh are lower in tap water should I add saltyshrimp to remineralize?
Everytime i do a water change my shrimp die! Im not sure what im doing wrong! I have a 5 gallon and usually only suck up 1 gallon maybe 2 but i do clean the bottom! I dont knownifnthat is the problem or not!?!?
I would try just removing water, don't touch the substrate. And then add the new water back in as slowly as you can manage, dripping will eliminate any possibility of shock. Your new water parameters are probably not exactly matching the current tank parameters if I had to guess.

Rotala indica 'pink'. When they get taller and with intense light, the leaves will turn a pink colour.
Do you use tap water?
For neos, my tap water is perfect so I do just use that
