I provide tons of aquarium info and hints to help you be a better fish or shrimp keeper. The aquarium info I provide is based on my personal experience and tests I have done in my own aquariums, so you don't have to!
I like aquariums and things that go in them. I try to have some fun with my content, it probably sucks though. Sorry, I guess.
I am an amateur freshwater shrimp keeper from Ontario, Canada. I specialize in nano tanks and neocaridina shrimp, however much of my information can still be applied to your larger tanks! I also do general aquarium tips and how-to's that can be utilized in all shapes and sizes of tanks.

How To Prepare, Propagate and Plant Your Cryptocoryne!
I only have one Betta and a nerite snail together in a tank and this morning I saw little opaque white things slowly moving on the glass. What could that be? I cleaned them off with a glass cleaning sponge. I want to make sure it's nothing harmful for my betta. I've looked at all the different worms and none seem to describe what I saw.
intro was great, im thinking breeding black worm, then shrimp and snails and java moss, and making mad money
Setting up a all natural potting soil substrate tank with a sand cap will instant cycle a tank.
Hey do I need to rinse extremely well? I won’t be setting up my tank for months and have had it soaking for a few days. I’m about to scrape and drain.
Great video Thanks bro
I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bicycle 😂
ur funny as hell bruh... oh, am new to shrimp keeping here.
di you water change in between dosing? any water change at all? or siphoning the bottom?
Thank you
I love scuds, they are entertaining little battle bugs. I bought some thinking I’d feed them to fish, but ended up setting them up a tiny tank to watch their antics.
How do I lower my tds if I have to match it with a water change? I bout RO water and the tds is 40 in it! I usually use tap water and just ass my saltyshrimp. But I'm not sure what to do. Also do I need to add anything for KH? Or just the saltyshrimp?
How does the peroxide *not* kill all of your good bacteria, as soon as you turn the pump back on??
it was beauty that killed the beast
Thanjs for the video and the infos, what would be an efficiant way to ship shrimp across canada and even worldwide? Also if you can tell us about importing shrimps from asia, is it easy or is it very hard and have you ever tryed? Thanks again
this is the channel i need. i was frustrated at how sensitive to water change shrimps are but your trick might work!!!
DRIP!!! oh god you're right I should've used the dripper! last time I water change I doused in the new water with dippers and resulting in a few shrimps dead DX thank you very much the key is slow and steady
Thanks for a great video
There are some flat worms you should mention that are harmless. I think this is important because people run out and treat their tanks because they saw a flat worm. Rhabdocoela.
7:42 We have pitchers in the states.
Randomly came across this looking into take setups. I love all the Bob Ross tie ins 😂 helpful video my friend
would crushed hermit crab shells have the same or similar effect?
Awesome that was refreshing to see a nice breakdown like that!
If my ph kh and gh are lower in tap water should I add saltyshrimp to remineralize?
You’re funny lol but in the Bronx rabbit snails are going for 8.99 like huh 😆
Thanks!
Makes sense now on why one of mine died after introducing them..I pray they live though
Great overview. I was thinking of getting shrimp for the first time and trying to figure out what to add to my aquarium.
😎🙏
will this kill hydra?
I don’t have a money is back, but I want to know about it
That’s for all the information 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Awesome video
Nice video :) I'm about to get a vevor digital microscope to figure out what little critters are in my tanks. I may post pictures of them later so I can get help identifying them.
🎉🎉🎉
Should I match TDS in the tank when adding new water? My TDS is at 268 right now so I'm worried it will get too high! Or should I do a minimum TDS of 130? Im not sure if i match it exactly or not? I want to.switch to RO water but have no clue what im doing.
Is hair algae the reason my loach died? 😢
What is the pH of your tap water? Mine is 10 from a limestone lake, so I assume I will have to use RO... or acid buffer.
Will this get rid or vorticella?
Thankx
I accidentally left a giant tape worm in my shrimp tank and now I can find it how do I rid the fish of tape worms without hurting my shrimps. Please help
Question... I went to clean my decor, lifted the ornament and my sand was black? Freaked me out!! Im guessing its black algae?? I will try this method! Thank you!!
Thank you for the info! I was only giving it when shrimp babies were born. And stopped when they got bigger. I didn't know grown up shrimp liked it. Going to follow your advice for every other day. My shrimp thank you! And my snails and guppies as I heard they like it, too! 🙂
Great video, thanks! Love my Ramshorn snails, they helped me with a huge algae problem that I could not get resolved. But I have a few snails whose shells are white- not enough calcium? I have some crushed coral on the bottom and feed them algae wafers once or twice a week.
You could add some egg shells to the blended mix and make some calcium rich food
Great info...! Thanks for sharing... Keep up your awesomeness...!
What is going on with the aquarium TH-camrs this is boring and too complicated you guys are making this hard
Well, it was one of my first videos from about 4 years ago so that probably explains why it's boring lol. I don't think it's too complicated, just make sure they are buried 3-4 inches deep at a minimum.
Seeeechum
I'd just boil the salt in a cup of Ro and then pour it into the bucket. That co2 method is speculative, co2 has to dissolve in the water , prob use sodium bicarbonate and check ph , Tiny bubbler isnt much circulation , use a cheap pump. Finally , if the tds is right then the salt mix may be fine, they might have added lime to bring up ph and it re-crystalized.
What holes do you use to change a water out?It seems like it was fairly easy
