To be + from + city / To be + from + country / Cities and Countries - Basic English lesson

You could say:
Subject + come/s + from + country
- I come from New Zealand.
- He comes from Australia.
BUT: You normally use this when the person is NOT in their country.
So, I wouldn't say: "I come from New Zealand." when I am in that country.
