    Okay, thanks for the video clip in Japanese.
    However, the shots at the net extremely fast for many net-players to reacts.
    But it is good to get into ready quickly perfect position for the fast coming ball.

    so on backhand, bend the wrist kind of weird. upwards.
    and on forehand focus on moving the whole racket forwards at the same time

    I really like your tennis teaching channel. Could you please tell me Mr. Takao 's Dunlop cx-200 head size is 95'' or 98" he using? Thanks!

      you haven't answered my question yet. :)

    • @meahall
      @meahall 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think it's a 95, judging by the overall shape of the racket.
      Volleying is all about control, so I would guess it's more than likely he uses the smaller headsize.

    Hi,could you explain what type of grip u r using for forehand volley ?

    • @allim7015
      @allim7015 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is said that he uses the continental grip for both forehand and backhand volley.

    • @damianograziano4769
      @damianograziano4769 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, i don't think it's really a continental grip on the forehand volley, I think it's more of a continental//eastern grip

    The one criticism I have of this is that he doesn't close the net when getting the feeds. He is just standing there. I am dismayed, a little, but this lack of concept application. While he makes good solid contact, he should be closing on EVERY volley in order to hit the ball BEFORE it drops from its peak height. Then, prior to receiving the next feed, he should be quickly and powerfully returning to the original position (not just remaining close to the net). Closing assertively is essential to: 1. take time away from the opponent 2. give you a better net position, better because it yields a closer net hit position that allows more available angle for the volley. I am sure he is just demonstrating, but the demonstration will cause observers to also "just stand there" hitting the volley. The BEST technique, the one you would NEED to apply during a match with a suitable opponent, would be to close AS SOON AS you perceive direction of the opponent's shot, thus giving yourself the advantage of taking time away from your opponent and, at the same time, giving yourself the advantage of having more court to volley into because you are closer to the net. Of course, each successful close in practice needs to be accompanied by a subsequent push back to the original position, as to be properly positioned for the lob (in match play), or, for another practice at closing the volley (in drills and practice).
