The lack of Jack Frost is ridiculous; he was a *phenomenon* on tumblr. His lack of shippable pairings, (by tumblr's "sexyman standards" at the time,) created Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons just so people could ship him with Hiccup. Those that didn't want to ship him with Hiccup shipped him with Elsa. Tumblr was so incredibly horny for the ice twink that they scanned alternate canons just to ship him, and if *that* isn't sexyman behavior I don't know what is.

Jack Frost, voiced by Chris Pine in the movie Rise of the Guardians was such an archetypical Tumblr sexy man that there was an explosion of Jack Frost fanfic on AO3 _before_ the movie even released. He's an angsty loner with a mysterious tragic backstory and a penchant for mischief. He's a white haired ghost twink. The fandom was huge.

as a middle schooler in the 2010s, i can confirm, jeff the killer was a tumblr sexyman and not just tumblr but also other areas of the internet! such as deviantart. it wasnt too uncommon to look up fanart of creepyasta characters like jeff and find a bunch of anime thirst art with people gushing about it in the comments. the fanon generally went that slenderman owned a huge mansion in the woods where he and a bunch of creepypasta characters lived. smile dog was jeff's dog, ben drowned was jeff's bestie, hoodie and masky were there but i never watched marble hornets so ???, and there was like an antithesis character to jeff named jane the killer and her deal was apparently that she Didnt actually kill people and she made it her lifes goal to get revenge on jeff for killing her parents or something. what i remember most abt jane was people FUCKING HATED her!!! calling her a mary sue and unoriginal and stuff. like absolutely vitriolic. it was wacky! what a time to be a kid

Hamilton specifically gets too close to the "miku binder jefferson" chaos of musical fandoms. Musicals fandoms, in my experience, tend to lean in projecting oneself onto a character rather than making them into an ideal, unattainable partner.

When I was but a youngin with major insecurity issues, a fear of talking to people who weren’t my friends, and a blossoming homsexuality tumblr sexymen were surprisingly comforting.
The fanart was plentiful and so widespread that the normal shame you feel when googling “bill cipher sexy” is nonexistent. And it was a safe way to explore whatever weird sexual fantasies I had whilst still being semi straight. Eventually I grew out of it and am now a full time lesbian, but this brief era of the most heterosexual behavior imaginable haunts me.

More than any two sites are connected without literally coming from the same company, Twitter and Tumblr are intertwined in the funniest ways since we’re all on both even if we only use one. Because of the porn ban and the site having slowly lost popularity, everyone moved to Twitter in the second half of the last decade but kept some aspects of their fandom origins. It’s at least a spiritual successor.

I think this is possibly a symptom of them being popular among a really young subset of fandom. I'm sure there are plenty of creeps who ship those things as adults perving on the young girl characters, but I'd wager a fair amount of it is young fans who self-insert with Violet and Cindy Lou a little and haven't yet realised that no, you are not basically an adult because you're a "mature" 10-14 year old, and no, it wouldn't romantic or sexy for a grown man to see you as one. Probably also a few who objectively know this now they _are_ adults, but still have associations from shipping it as a kid or something.

As a fan of Toby Fox's other (accidental) Tumblr seximan, Spamton, I can confirm his fans either want to tuck him in gently and kiss him goodnight, or throw him in a dumpster and drop it in an acid pit. Sometimes both, it depends on the day.
Spamton wasn't (isn't?) nearly as bad as so many other sexymen I've seen, and honestly thank god for that. I don't think I could have handled another quirky non-human character be sexified into a completely different version of themselves.

I was on Sanders Sides Tumblr for like 2 years and Logan, Remus and ESPECIALLY Janus/Deceit were totally THE fandom sexymen, especially Janus, who was LITERALLY deceit and self-preservation manifested, he had half a snake face, a mysterious cloak and a cool hat, he was suave and sassy, and he was often portrayed as a villain but morally justified in his actions

I had a decent following in the Wheatley sexyman fandom for a bit (unfortunately) and I'm so disappointed that nobody mentions the self-cest. I think most people's idea of the fandom starts and ends with that singular blonde wheatley, primarily shipped with chell and occasionally a humanized core or something, but in the trenches there was a onceler-esc alternate universe wheatley x wheatley subfandom absolutely thriving. As someone who only made it roughly three years in the creepypasta fandom, I am absolutely horrified to learn Jeff the Killer was your very last, very much doubted addition to this. I think Spamton from deltarune is an unconventional tumblr sexyman (and also my favourite). He hasn't left his own fandom, but he is very big within his own. He has the skrunkly, deranged, pathetic, morally ambiguous aspect nailed down. He's also white (literally) and dresses in suits. But his drawn versions vairy wildly from faithful adaptations of his ugly-ass world sprite, to tall lanky twink, to slightly overweight man in his 40s. And all versions are pretty universally adored by Spamton stans.

As a Megamind stan for me it's less about his appearance and more about just how loveable his personality is, he's goofy, dark, edgy, and also the.. "i can fix him" type. As someone who was very involved in tumblr portal fandom, dear fucking lord did people think that orb had it going on. And glados (my circle is like 95% lesbians). At least in my circle the orb was far more popular than the humanized version. Otherwise this video reminded me of my tumblr past. Also yeah tumblr is 80% monsterf*ckers and they need to accept it.

lol i first saw a humanized Wheatley on DeviantART and it was from an artist who upon reflection was def into twinks, but mostly based her humanized Wheatley on his actual VA Stephen Merchant so I never thought it was weird he was a tall skinny white dude until i started seeing depictions of people's headcanons for Cecil from Night Vale who as most peeps know got the tumblr sexy man treatment.

I was in the onceler fandom i actually still follow some people that have kept their onceler ocs and even one that still posts about the lorax. but anyways i feel like calling them roleplay blogs doesn't really capture the fact that the onceler askblogs (as they were called haha i bet you can find other tumblr sexymen by specifically looking up askblogs wheatley was way bigger than you'd think i never even played portal and i saw so much wheatley content. it's his british accent unfortunately) had like huge followings of fans who interacted with them by anonymous messages and shipped other people's askblogs together and drew fanart of that. swag onceler was heavily shipped with oneler the cannibal onceler..... I didn't mean to say all that. What I really meant to say was. Did you know there was a subset of onceler fans who, not long after onceler hysteria died down a little bit, immediately moved on to King Candy/Turbo from Wreck it Ralph? How's that for tumblr sexyman?
