Android Auto for phone screens looks great. Now a days since phones have big screen, we might not even need separate medai-navigations systems in car. 😅
Yes. But thats personal preference. Some people like it on phone, and some want it on car avn system. Use accordingly.

Exactly. For it to work while the car is moving, you need to connect it to your mobile hotspot for access to internet.

I tried this with chrome cast so for internet you need to have a seperate phone hotspot for Chromecast and the main phone can connect to Chromecast for mirroring
You can use mobile data on the same phone which you are using for chromecast and need not have a separate phone!

As of now, there is no way tp connect internet to DG2.0. If I find something I will update it to you.

Press the 'source' button on ymthe steering wheel. You will get audio.
How it's connected to internet .fire TV stick having a wifi or its using the same internet which is connected to digipad
fire tv stick will connect to internet via wifi. You have to create a wifi hotspot in your smartphone and connect firestick to that hotspot in order to access internet.

No. You cant stream video on Bluetooth. It needs wifi connection.
does it work during driving the car?
No. It works only when handbrake is engaged. But its possible to make ot work during driving the car if you use a canbus cable and get it installed by a car electrician.

Hey with my hdmi the audio is not working there is no sound when the video is being played. Cracking sound is always there. Any help

Yes there is a remedy. You get a cable known as video canbus cable for Honda cars. It is available in all car decor/accessories shops. Contact any known person from such shop and get it installed.

No it doesnt, since its just projecting the video on the screen of digipad. You will have to use the remote.

Get it checked in the service centre and if its under warranty the get it replaced.
Isn't possible to install Google navigation on Amazon Fire stick so that one need not use a phone for navigation? Of course, with the handbrake issue it is going to be a bummer. Jio dongle will take care of the WiFi.
No, we cannot install google navigation on firestick as the firestick is not made to be used in cars. It is built to be used in televisions. As of now, there is no google maps or navigation app available on amazon app store.
In my Digipad video is working fine but no audio. I am using latest 3rd gen Fire stick, pls help Or else I need to return the stick. I reset digipad and fire stick both but still no sound.
While using the firestick in digipad, change the audio source using the source button. Also pause any music playing via pendrive/sdcard. It should solve the problem.
Thanks for replying, I didn't get the audio source part, how I can change it cos by using source button i can only change the hdmi to radio or any other source. How to change audio source can you please explain.
Also while using fire tv did you get the humming sound when no video is playing?
Play some music/song via sd card or pendrive, then press the pause button. Then press the source button to bring the display to HDMI input. That should give you audio. And I haven't heard any humming sound as you mentioned.
I checked with 1st gen fire stick and it's working fine, but 3rd gen is not working. Please let me know if you get a chance to check 3rd gen fire stick in your digipad.
i can't connect Internet to digipad. Can anyone help. Wifi dongle also i tried. When connecting dongle showing msg unsupport device.

I had tried this almost a year ago and as it does not work while driving, there was no point using. Now I use Samsung Dex cable to connect my phone to the HDMI port. 2 things,
1. There is no latency when I play music.
2. If I have locked the phone when the handbrake is engaged and when I release the handbrake, I would see the phone display on the digipad. It shows as locked, but the moment I unlock the phone the display shows on the digipad even while driving. This may not happen all the time though. As my phone screen is 6.8", I choose to ignore if the digipad does not display anything.
Downside of this is that the steering audio control buttons won't work if you're playing music via HDMI, if you choose to move to next song or the previous. That can be a small compromise instead of experiencing the latency or lag of 3 seconds.
Great that you have tried this already. It is a buggy method still and needs a lot of improvement.

I have found solution to handbrake problem.
It can be bypassed easily.

Just bought a tv free interface and grounded the handbrake signal wire of radio. Socket to socket no wirecut.
Yes understood. In the video I am talking about finding a software solution within the digipad which does not require removing it from the car and getting a canbus cable fitted. But yes you are right, that solution does exist👍
I didnt remove the radio. It can be installed through glove box. Earlier i was able to root digipad and install titanium backup with root permissions but no further then that. Anyways I appreciate your hard work. Keep it up bro👍🏻

This is old hdmi option , so it won't work for audio.

You have to connect the fire tv stick to your mobile hotspot network to be able to stream onto the digipad.

Yes. There is a HDMI connector available these days in every car accessories shop. Enquire at your local car mod shop, they will install it for you.
Handbrake solution please
There is a Honda TV cable available at all car accessories shop. Enquire at your nearest car mod and get it installed. It will solve handbrake problem.

It can be done with phones that support HDMI out display. But it will work only when the handbrake is engaged.

There is screen activator adapter for honda car which let you bypass handbrake sensor you can play videos even while car is moving
