    Well, if we take the name literally like the way a Child of Destiny is literally from Destiny Island , then the Defender of the Master is wielded by "those who Defend the Master's plan" even if they don't recognize they are doing it.
    Goofy insinuates it is a guiding key, and it leads Sora to Riku and Aqua. It guides them down the scripted path.

    I want to see more discussion around The Master's Defender. It's lineage of wielders and appearance in UX is just too peculiar to ignore. And while the Keyblade currently rests at Eraqus' gravesite, I find it hard to believe it wont come into play again given its history.
    ALSO - My apologies to the Sages for the botched ending screen!

      Totally unrelated has anyone looked into Skuld being related to operation Skuld from Stiens Gate.
      In Stiens Gate there is an operation called Skuld which has to deal with time traveling and deceiving the previous self and others for the future.
      What if Skuld from KH is an Homage to this. Maybe Skuld is a trap like the operation counterpart. To deceive the person doing the experiment to save someone else ...

    Could the Master's Defender be the original keyblade wielded by the Master of Masters? It's technically right there in its name. And if that's the case, would he be wanting to take possession of it again? Just like Luxu was after the No Name during the Dark Seeker Saga.

    Master Odin has used the Master Defender to save Xehanort and Erauqs in the corridor of darkness with a Darkness watching. Then chains up Baldor with No Name, moments later for Xehanort to take down.
    I believe Master Odin is the only person to wield both. Would be cool to see him use both at the same time like Oblivion and Oathkeeper.

    It’s likely Sora unknowingly absorbed the memories within the master defender itself. Similarly By clashing with Xions keyblade his memories passed to her so it dosent take much.

    I really want to know if the Kingdom Key has some sort of significance as well. Like the MD, it's an extremely plain looking, and potentially ancient Keyblade. It's an especially interesting keyblade, considering it's a visual element of the X-Blade. It's crazy to me that after all this time, there's been no lore reveals regarding the Kingdom Key besides that of implications, such as the name being a clear play on the phrase, "keys to the kingdom"

    Time for me to break (pun intended)the Kingdom Hearts iceberg of Mystery with a KEYBLADE. Mr. Nomura's Journal shows a Master Defender keyblade timeline and even exchanges in the final game. "May your heart be your guiding key."
    The timeline shows as such starting with:
    UNION X Timeline: Master of Master's->Ava---->Brain---->Ephemer
    DARK ROAD Timeline: Ephemer----------->Odin--------------->Eraqus
    B.B.S Timeline: Eraqus-------------->Aqua
    Kingdom Hearts III Timeline: Aqua-------------------->Sora------->Aqua
    Kingdom Hearts IV Timeline:
    Aqua----------------------->Terra----------->Ventus+Roxas= 2 🗝🗡dual wielders.
    Any questions?

    Something that I have noticed about the Master's Defender is that it doesn't seem to like being wielded by Aqua.
    She is never able to form change it, though we nave never seen anyone do so. Although she can do the golden chain attack with it she seems to struggle doing so, though that might not be connected with the Keyblade as Terra also does attacks which look like chains. And we have not seen anyone besides Eraqus, Odin, Aqua, and Terra doing those attacks which might hint at a teacher student line.
    Master's Defender isn't as strong for Aqua as her own Rainfall. Aqua does some very impressive things in BBS. Such as going toe to toe with Vanitas more then once, winning against Xehanort(Terranort) mostly by herself, and wining against the X Blade in a strength contest. She is just unable to do these things while wielding Master's Defender. Sure she can make Land of Departure into Castle Oblivion, however anyone could do that if they knew about how to do it. She wins no battles, Vanitas overpowers her, and I can not imagine her breaking the X blade. There is no denying that Master's Defender is a strong Keyblade, it just doesn't strengthen Aqua the way it seems to do with Eraqus.
    The Master's Defender runs away from Aqua. Now it is admittedly unclear if it did this to get help or if it just couldn't stand to have her be it's wielder right then. However as shown by the making of Anti Aqua she did need a keyblade and the fact that it ran away from her must of been disheartening. Well unless she let go of it on purpose.
    All in all I always get the feeling that Master's Defender doesn't few Aqua as it's wielder. It is letting her use it, but more as a parent will protect a child then as a person using their own power to protect themselves. I also get the feeling that Aqua also thinks that Master's Defender doesn't like her all that much. After all she does return to using Rainfall at the end of KH3. It is with Rainfall that Aqua has the strength needed to help open a portal to the Realm of Darkness. Master's Defender just doesn't suit her at all. Both she and the Keyblade seem to feel this. I could be overthinking this but with what we have seen I do think I have a point.
    As for how old Master's Defender is. I do think it is possible that it is a keyblade from before the foretellers time. However if it is then I think there have to also be other such keyblades.
    I also have to wonder about the name. Is it a keyblade to defend masters? Or is it used by masters to defend? Or is it defending MoM who is the Master of Masters?
    The fact that it is used by both Odin and Eraqus who are both the opposite of defenders. And the fact that it treats Aqua as a child that needs to be defended. I think is it more likely that it is a keyblade that defends Masters rather then a keyblade that wants a defender to use it. Or if it does want it's wielder to be a defender it is not a defender of people and clearly not a defender of the wielder's students. We might get a clearer idea of what Master's Defender wants out of it's wielders in Missing Link. However Odin and Eraqus and even Brain(who I don't really trust) all make me doubt wielders of the Master's Defender being people worth trusting. And I worry a lot for Ephemer.

    • @Yami20xx
      @Yami20xx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like this but I think your on to something when you mentioned Aqua in the realm of darkness. But I think she broke Rainfall in the realm of darkness *extra ending BBS* and had to rely on Masters Defender *2.8* buts seeing as she was on the dark side of Destiny Islands when it returned to light the keyblade couldn't go with her into those depths. It's a light keyblade so maybe that why it left her to guide someone to her as a failsafe. Also we haven't seen anybody inherit a foreteller keyblade besides Luxu and Ava. But if that's the case if you break one why not get one from the keyblade graveyard.

    • @hillaryslack2884
      @hillaryslack2884 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Yami20xx Aqua didn't break Rainfall. She gives it to her armor so that it is able to get Terra out of the Realm of Darkness. We see both her armor and her keyblade in the Chamber of Repose in KH2.
      It likely was just a matter of asking Terra where her armor and Keyblade where to be reunited with them by her scene in Limit Cut. Well unless Kairi's Keyblade which Riku just handed to her in KH2 is Rainfall with the Destiny's Embrace key chain on it. It is important to note that we have not seen Kairi wield outside of her dreams since Aqua was shown with Rainfall again. We could see Aqua and Kairi in a tug of war with the keyblade. That said I am not really sure if I believe the theory that Kairi's Keyblade is a disguised Rainfall.
      As for why when a person breaks a keyblade why they don't just go to the Keyblade Graveyard to get a new one. Well there are actually a few possible reasons. Granted they are all theories because we don't actually understand what happens to a keyblade after it's wielders death.
      One. As the wielders died during a war the keyblades there could be full of feelings like betrayal, anger, sadness, depression, and pain. In KH terms they are full of Hurt. And a being that is full of Hurt would be very hard to make a healthy bond with the way a keyblade is bonded to its wielder.
      Two. It is possible that those keyblades are completely dead just like their wielders. After all Xehanort does call them lifeless. We have seen an alive keyblade that doesn't have a wielder, and is waiting for one. The Kingdom Key D and it looks nothing like how the keyblades of the Graveyard look. Granted we then have to question why some keyblades are able to be past down and why other keyblades just die.
      Three. It could be that people are using the keyblades in the Graveyard after their own keyblade breaks. I could easily see Braveheart being forged and remade out of a keyblade or two from there. After all we didn't get to see how Riku got Braveheart.

    • @Yami20xx
      @Yami20xx ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yoo I totally forgot about the armor smh. Maybe we will get to see Brain get his keyblade back .. after all xehanort had to have found the backup's of the dandelions trying to find his friends from his past life. Otherwise ventus wouldn't be the only one who could wield his keyblade from*BBS* and not his *UX* keyblade.
      Actually I'm go check but did the lost master reappear with their keyblades in kh3? If so that might answer a question on what happens to the keyblade when it's owner passes or maybe it's just reflects the users Will. If you think about it Mickey doesn't use the kingdom D key much and in UX the starlight was like a common keyblade but you don't really see alot of them in the Graveyard.
      Lastly I think that since throughout every game every keyblade Sora has used has been used has a link to other characters without him knowing. Just a theory

      @@Yami20xx Why is Brain getting the Master's Defender back connected to Xehanort looking into the sleeping data Daybreak Town?
      Brain will likely get the Master's Defender back. He is in the Scala that Ephemer built, who is the last known person to have the keyblade. Unless something really weird happened then I don't think that it will be all that hard to have Brain get his keyblade back. No sleeping data world or Xehanort needed.
      I do think that the Sleeping Data Daybreak town is going to be part of Brain's goal in Missing Link. After all saving the Dandelions is basically his main goal by the end of UX. I even think that Brain will likely manage to get at the Data. Likely releasing Emblem Heartless and maybe even the four Darknesses that are in the sleeping data while he is at it. Something that will not be fixed all the way until after the main events in Dark Road. (We never see how the emblem heartless disappear, I really think we need some kind of Flash Forwards in Missing Link)
      If Subject X is Skuld then the only way I can see it working is if Brain is able to find the Dandelion Data of her(when she was about sixteen). Then so long as the Data Skuld is able to interact with others she will grow a new heart and become a new person, all she would need is a body. If this theory is right then I think Brain is the one that finds her Data, and releases both Heartless and maybe Darknesses. And Luxu ends up with at lest Skuld's Data maybe Ephemer's and some of the others as well.
      I don't think that Xehanort ever finds out about the sleeping data world. Or if he does then it isn't because he found the computer. I think all of this happens years before he is born. At most he is the one responsible for fixing the mistakes that Brain made. Likely between the chest match that we see in KH3 which takes place two years after the main story of DR and Xehanort's depression from self blame which starts appearing four years after the main story of DR. Something clearly happened in those two years and it likely is also when the emblem heartless disappeared.
      As for Ventus changing keyblades, I guess it could be that is keyblade broke. He did just fight a Darkness one on one. However Keyblades tend to break because the wielder outgrows their symbolism. Like how Riku reached Dawn and so could no longer walk the Way to Dawn, so dawn broke. Did Ventus outgrow Missing Ache's symbolism? I don't know. However given his lack of memories, his connection to the windy Keyblade Graveyard, and his talent for running away he really does fit Wayward Wind's symbolism. I would want to see if his keyblade actually broke or if it just transformed as he himself changed. Something that I think we will only get to know as Ventus starts remembering his past.
      As for the Kingdom Key D Mickey was likely the worst person who could have picked it up. He doesn't fit the symbolism for it at all. It was likely a very weak keyblade in his hands. However in someone like Riku, Terra, or even Aqua it likely would have been much stronger. A keeper of the keys to the kingdom of darkness, or the protector of the dark, or the protector in the dark. Honestly Kingdom Key D should be one of the strongest keyblades out there it just didn't fit Mickey. I am actually a little bit upset that Mickey chose to change the Kingdom Key D to better fit him likely weakening it's inherit ability rather then just picking his old keyblade and giving the Kingdom Key D to someone who could actually use it the way it was meant to be used. Still Mickey and Yen Sid likely had their reasons, I just don't trust those reasons.
      In the lost masters cut scene only Luxu was holding a keyblade.
