In the manga for 358/2 days it's actually shown that the dusk nobodies are in charge of cleaning, or at least we see one of them cleaning but not any other enemy nobodies. Though if you want to call that cannon or not is up the the person

In Union X, you touch grass in quest 4 in Dwarf Woodlands. There are areas in Daybreak Town that have grass but are inaccessible until later quests afaik

If you end up doing “touch water” or other challenges like this, I’d love to see you do it with all three Birth By Sleep characters! Like sure Ven touched grass but poor Terra is over here getting addicted to social media cause you didn’t let him touch any grass!!! (Plus it would be interesting to see if one character is faster or slower)
Terra immediately touches grass in Enchanted Dominion during gameplay. Aqua has to wait until she's outside the Palace in Castle Of Dreams.
for Melody of Memory there are portions of the game where you do rhythm game gameplay while the characters fight a boss in the background. it's sort of a glorified cutscene, but your actions in the gameplay do indeed influence the characters' movement. surely in one of these fights there's some grass? haven't checked myself, but that's probably as close as it's gonna get
There isn't grass in any of the fights. Ansem's fight is the closest, being on Destiny Islands. Sadly, the arena is inside the impact crater where if there were grass originally, it would be disintegrated by darkness. The rest of the fights take place in areas with no grass in sight. At least the stone floor in Maleficent's fight is green, that counts for something.
but all of MoM is just like a memory or dream inside of Kairi's head so would that really be grass?

I think the Kingdom Hearts version of these challenges are neat because there's arguments that can be made regarding what even qualifies as grass:
All "grass" in the playable portions of CoM/Re:CoM is just the white floors of Castle Oblivion "reskinned" to resemble whichever of Sora's memories he used as a World Card on that floor either by reshaping the castle's interior to take the properties of the place according to the memories, restructuring to merely visually resemble the memories, or perhaps only altering Sora's perception of the floor and not the structure itself. Is that truly grass?
KH2 has grass but the "grass" touched in this video was instead a digital simulation of grass. The same goes for all "grass" in Re:Coded. Is that truly grass?
In DDD every world visited isn't the world itself but rather that world's dream so any "grass" is a figment of that dream. Is that truly grass?
Ultimately it's up to the person doing the challenge what they choose to count, I just appreciate that the KH version of these challenges is a bit less black and white than other game IPs also following this trend which hopefully allows for greater variety between "copycats" who also want to try their hand at this.
KH II is, indeed, the greatest video game of all time.
I don't understand why they didn't just turn Union X into an offline game instead of making it completely unplayable. That's just stupid.
tbh I'd argue you can't touch grass in CoM because you never leave castle oblivion and every world you visit is just a false world created from Sora's memories

You know what? Kingdom Hearts is a video game, so all the grass is fake, so it shouldn't even matter what kind of grass Sora touches.

Technically the BBS intro is a tutorial and can be skipped after playing through it the first time but I feel like it wouldn't change much after leaving Land of Departure since all stories will have the same worlds and can touch grass pretty quickly
But every character starts in a different world and no one has access to LoD until they complete their first world (iirc Ventus cannot return to LoD until the very end of his story). In this case the fastest way to touch grass is play as Terra because once he gets to his 1st world (Enchanted Dominion) he gets thrown into battle in a grassfield
This might be a biiit of a stretch but in MoM there are some boss fights that might have grass? Along with now I don't know if this counts but there's cutscene songs and if you count those 2d mv songs then the first instance of touching grass would probably be from the tangled stage because there's lots of grass under sora's feet there. Also I could be miss remembering but doesn't the screen saver for the main menu of MoM for the bbs trio have them standing on grass? Hypothetically if you switched your team to them so your "playing as them" and then get the bbs screen saver playing then you'll have stood on grass... Idk if any of that counts tho💀

I mean, the lack of touching grass in MoM Actually makes perfect sense! because technically, you aren't playing as sora and the other characters, but rather Kairi, who is currently *Asleep and going through her memories.* Of course She can't touch grass, she's unable to do so in her current state! ^^

Can you beat any KH game only using magic?
Rule: Challenge starts once you have a magic spell that attacks
For KH1, the only way I could see that being possible is by cheating in max MP from the start, to make your spells really powerful. With the base MP, even if you have ethers, its not gonna be enough for bosses in the early game. In KH2 and 3, things would be more doable given MP charge is a thing. In Chain of Memories, you could absolutely do it, provided none of the bosses are resistant to all Magic types. Then BBS has mine square and a whole slew of OP magic, and DDD has Balloon.
Edit: Forgot the DS games. Days would only be possible if you could somehow cheat and give yourself unlimited Magic Charges. For recoded, I would assume its like BBS and DDD, but I have very little experience with that game

They really did Union X dirty. Like if you're gonna shut down the games at least take down the app so you can't pretend you still support it. Though as an avid player, I could tell the game was going down as soon as they added reflect medals

idk if its just me but, I think i just made the discovery that 0.2 has better graphics than kh3, that lighting was immaculate.

Does getting hit by a grassy Heartless count? As commenters have been pointing out, Castle Oblivion doesn't have much in the way of authentic environmental grass, but it is the introduction of the Creeper Plant. Likewise, if memory serves, KHMoM features these Heartless, so taking a hit from them could count?
I disagree with a few of them. Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories: You're basically touching fake grass. Dream Drop Distance: at best, you're touching grass in a dream, says a lot about Sora and Riku - more specifically that they really need to go outside and touch some grass. Re;coded is all in a computer / a book, so they're basically just writing about touching grass.

I didn't know that they changed union x into a cutscene thing like does that mean alot of the fan base lost money from spending alot on the medals and upgrades???
The game ran for about 8 ~9 years. They also were very public about the severs to the game closing and everyone had like a year notice as they did the final Arc of the game. All of the cut scenes are still up for people who want to know the story, which is very handy
@wiseforcommonsense yea but what about all of the ingame currency and transactions what happened to it all? Did players who played from beginning lost all of that progress from that 8-9 yrs of the game being active?
@@user-jt4wm2zr4h the same can be said for any game that has transactions. Some games are online only or have an online mode and shut down severs with little to no warning.
I know personally that I never bought anything with real money as getting the in game currency was really easily their was no need to go VIP.

I actually didn't know they shut down Union X. I still remember when it was named Unchained X. Glad I didn't spend much money if any at all, but man that means all my special event medals and my lvl 200+ or 300+ character with several of the Art Medals is just... poofed away, not that I ever finished the story because I just didn't care for the way it was told
There are several boss fights in Melody of Memory where the characters are not on that, I only remember Xemnas because I liked to use the sea salt trio to beat the crap out of him, but maybe one of the others?

I know it's not fully in the spirit but does sora touch grass in any of the background cutscenes in the video based songs in MoM? You could potentially argue it's almost gameplay as if you stopped playing the game the video of him touching grass would stop 🤔
