Him explaining his thought process and steps involved as well as what worked and didn’t is what makes this series interesting and informative. People bitching about the talking should go watch time lapse craft videos with steps and procedures layer out with text and no audio.
Honestly when I saw part 1 I was skeptical, but this is looking insanely good for a DIY job! Great work!
Ignore all the hate comments about you talking too much, you do you and explain whatever you want. I personally like the way you talk a lot and explain the plans you have for your car, you seem like a really good person and a fun friend to have
Lmaoo i think its hilarious that everyone comments about how much he talks but he still talks a lot 😂😂
He cant help it, can he?
Thanantos 19XXf first time watching n I’m just skipping his talking
Too much
Well he hold the record of ' IDGAF'
@@georgejuma9650 ok
You can see the video skip slightly between rants, as if he knew that if he didnt skip bits, itd end up a 12 hour video of him chatting shit with no m3 shots lmfao
Hey Kyle. You're Awesome dude. I know it's been 6 yrs ago, but I'm just seeing your work. You must be an engineer of some sort. Just amazing.
Love what you're doing man I'm binge watching all these widebody videos today lol I like that you include everything that's going on it actually puts in perspective every obstacle that we might face. I'm really thinking about doing this myself now!
Can people stop complaining about how much he talks. He still talks just as much but it’s somewhat needed cause he’s explaining everything. We’re so caught up with I wanna see it done already instead of learning process of how it’s done need to be told and shown to understand. For him not being a custom body builder or collision expert he’s done a damn good job. I would hire him and make him great and sick technician
you don't have to give such a big thank you for us staying tuned every single video LOL.
To be honest we should say thank you for taking us with you on your learnfull experiance
I am thoroughly impressed on how this build has ended up very inspirational
Some of y'all are just rude. He's talking because he goes over the issues you could potentially have or that he has. I personally like it. If the taking is too much, skip the damn video
Thank me later
6:00 - 6:32; 9:16 - 9:31; 13:20 - 14:06; 19:06 - 19:16
2 minutes 40 seconds is interesting, the rest is bla bla bla...
Thank you!
Very helpful.. thank you so much..
Thank you !
He talks too much
@@nanakwadwoameyaw-akumfidau4176 he explains bruh
Hard work and dedication! 🙌🏽coming out great. U point out multiple issues that we the audience should keep and eye out for when we ourselves are doing our own DIY. But some don't appreciate it smh 🤦♂️
I like all the talking because most aren't very informative and you are so thank you. Will be subscribing . Good job!
I’ve never respected and hated somebody so much at the same time. Great proj.
Been watching over all of these in row, love the series. So simple but cool. Keep it up!
I went through a similar experience getting an S15 front end to fit and form with an S13 body, I had to shape the metal fenders into a fiberglass bumper and work around a whole new headlight set up since the s13 had the flip lights... cool project you got going on though, now you just need to replicate them and sell it as a kit!
This help a lot, I had crashed my car and the foam helped me with reshaping the rear quarter panel, thank you!!
I know this is a old video but I saw this video on my recommended and let me just say it’s turning out so good and I’m going to sub to your channel because I have a Volvo s80 but it’s so hard to find kits and all because of the aftermarket products and just realizing this car for parts is like super rare and some day I’ll look back at these video’s in the future I wish I can dedicate my time to do this and it looks hard but other than that nice job man I’ll stay updated with your new/recent videos
i dont think that u talk to much... i like how u explain what u are doing and what is going on with it and so on... keep up the good work
hey @Kyle Reese I really love such projects as yours with the M3 and the car itself is sooooo fu**ing cool, just luve it !!
If you do this again.. You should make a measurement jig out of wire basically a wire cage with movable rods, you do one side get it perfect, then you use the jig to take your measurements and mark the rods then move the jig to the other side then stick the rods into the foam until the edges of the rods are exposed then use cardboard or thin metal to make a profile of the fender so you fine tune the other side.
fix the sound level when you talk and when you put music...talk is like 10% volume and music goes to 30%
This is amazing! Love the drive! ngl im bingeing all these videos
Pt 4 here we go bro you are a genius you are so dedicated you car looks amazing your a legend bro
Love your videos! Really happy I stumbled across this channel! Definitely a dream car of mine! I'm currently working on my e46 328i
Bimmer DriftBuild thanks for watching! I miss my 328i, that's what got me interested in BMWs.
Nice job, a picture is worth a thousand, but a video is worth a million. No need for all the talk. I understand you feel the need to explain what you are doing but just keep it short and sweet. If there is a big issue talk about it otherwise we can see it in the video. FYI. Looks good though. I find myself fast forwarding the video so the talk is less.
Felix/ JPC thank your for the respectful and helpful comment! I'm working on doing exactly what you said and also working on turning down the music so they match the parts where I do talk. Thanks again!
i kept thinking....use that as the fender........but then he made yet another from it, guess im confused as to why so many
Felix/ JPC
Looks sweet man keep it up the hard work, blood, sweat and tears right the final product will be worth it
Bro this is really sick! This channel will blow up soon! Remember me when you get big! 😂
Turbanswag of course! Haha Thanks for watching!
The foam was scared at first but darn it looks amazing good job man
Dude you should be extremely proud and save so much money, Right? i am enjoying the fabrication thus far
@3:40 what about blending the OEM trim into your flare? Like remove the seam between the two completely.
Keep the chat light bro sick project I'm gassed up I hope you can keep modifying regularly bro
Nice bro I have an e46 m3 it's at the shop getting the smg to manual can't wait :) keep up with the good work
dave dave now that swap is something I've always wanted to DIY! One day I will. Did you have to source anything for the shop or can they machine the SMG trans in house?
Yo U are doing a great job 👍👏👏 👏👏 👏 I'm hooked on this series right now I have to watch all of them to the very end bro, but I'm really enjoying the content.
Great video man. Helps me a lot and gives me ideas for my accord.
Question for you, to. Ale it easier for future DIY kits, wouldn't making a mold for each fender save you work shaping the fenders ? Im thinking to follow what you did but make a mould for each side first.
Nice work for a DIY took a lot of ambition to do it yourself awesome bud
It's much better it you write what you are doing like at 13:33 in the video. Much better than the rambling. I'm a rambler too so I'm not dissing on you. Just constructive criticism. Looking good.
nice series bro can't wait to see the end product :)
It'll be in 2026
A dremel tool and sander edge bit helps on the tight edges
For detailed lines hand sanding would be best rotary for taking off big materials amounts and fine tuning n shaping hand feel n sanding is best
Yooooo
This is dope!! My boi and I are gonna do this to our Mazda's. Mines a Rx7 FB and he has a yata
You got Colorado behind you boi keep it up!
I like how his cats chill with him 😂😂
We appreciate you making the vids I'm hooked keep up the hard work and great work. Croydon, south London, England
I've seen a lot of crap in my 35 years... But this guy beats everything.. WTF?!?!
Makes for a hilarious comment section.
I know this video is old but have you thought of using card board template and a grid system to make sure the kit is symmetrical? It will save a lot of time and headache... Just my two cents.
at 12:06 the birds i swear are singing midnight city by m83 lmfaoo
really enjoying this project thank you 👍👍 you deserve way more subs
I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying it! Thanks!
Put a wheel on the car without the rubber and use that crisp wheel to determine the flair edge.put an arm attached to the wheel that has a large bondo spreader attached to it that has the shape of the flair edge cut into it.. slowly rotate the the wheel .If the edge hits remove the foam till it doesn't hit but clears by an eighth or better.then spread bondo I over the whole area that can be reach by the large custom cut spreader attached to the arm.. roll the wheel forward and back to spread bondo evenly.do this on all 4 corners with same wheel setup and you can have perfect uniformity. Evercoat bond o is easier for doing this because it's thinner easier to sand by hand.
OMG! My stomach hurts from so much laughing!!! I think my depression is lifting feeling more sorry for the car. This kid is so happy and I love the supporting cat.. Bahahahaha! Can't wait to see the finish results.
I recommend to do vid of your work with voice over. so that u can explain what you are doing while showing/doing your work.
6 mins in and u just start working 🙃
Ignore the haters good job tho bro this is really helping me
Great job so far, and as you’ve found out, get you shapes perfect before you even consider body filler!
WOW i love these videos, they gave me so much ideas, good job
dude.
atleast you dont talk about "oH hE TaLkS So MuCh"
Let him talk he's ok. Good job pal I know it's way harder than it looks.
Awesome job. What does she look like now
All that I can think of is if he needs to remove his bumper for any reason he won’t be able too with the wide arches linked together?
Bro I was nervous for you but you handled this amazingly
You are so cool dude, I have a 2004 Chysler 300M that im going to do this to, I could buy but I want bragging right like you...thanks.
Why did you not just create a fender flair for the passenger side and then use that to create a mold which you could mirror for the driverside?
Cause it whould still be backwards for the fenders
this channel is going to blow up soon . keep up the vids. can't wait to see it. m3 a dream car for me too. currently driving in a ep civic type r . also got a 2000 a3 1.9tdi 150bhp ;)
gabber gibb gosh, I hope so!
Kyle Reese u talk to much
150bhp😂
Good videos and keep up the good work. Quick tip, always avoid putting legs underneath the car when not on axle stands, even if it's just a quick wheel change, seen jacks fail. Careful dude.
Mate, could i suggest that you find the centre of the car and then measure out to where you want the flares to finish then using your car jacks tie string to each jack on the four corners so they measure exactly the same and use those as your guide. Keep up the good work, oh, and talk a little less. cheers
So much time for something that can just be bought and popped on
Just saw this, sorry late, 3 inch or 4 inch or 6 inch pvc pipe about 12 inches long make great fairing sanding tubes, just cut a straight line long ways down the tube, wrap your sand paper around it and tuck into the seam ... fair at 45 degree angles and roll tube as you fair ... for next one maybe ...
Your doing really well, take your time
Hi, I really love your project, but how are you going to let it stay on your car? Dont you think it's gonna fall off?
How did it go iver some bumps? Did the foam crack? Good job tho mate more than I would go haha
I'm saying this cus I like to be a og when this channel blows the fuck up but I'm here before 25k yay and this is a great channel also read the comments cus your editing could be improved with the volume of music to voice ratio
GAWWWD that front end view:)
If I would get a dollar for every second he actually makes something in the video...I would be poor.
why you didn't use the clay to do a model and then use the fiberglass to do the final product?
Great job buddy keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍👍
i wonder how you gonna keep everything symetrical
your doing a awesome job man ! keep on going !
You should've used Bondo glass or mixed them both and made some Rondo fiberglass and bondoglass
Good job man! enjoying your vids :)
This is great! Deff deserves more views!!!
Why? Endless videos of how to foam?
Like what you are doing but you talk waaaaaayyyyyy tooooo muuuuch!!!!
Ikr, he needs to read the comments
also probably a liberal snowflake
i agree,,,,watched 4 parts....had to fast forward past 80%....i want to see it being done, not you talking about it
.. what do his political views have to do with a widebody build
manniefreash1414 disagree lol I appreciate the talking parts cause it lets us know exactly each step. It takes time for him to do but is Much appreciated
bru hurry we here for the build.
Great job young man! Love the passion.
Better man than me, I would have just purchased the kit.
....auch im dritten Teil nur am sabbeln, nichts geht voran, wirst Du auch mal fertig mit der Karre?
Use a long block to get more even shapes
Damn!! Looks super nice!😍
well done bro ik well it was pain in da azz sooo... guys respect a bit the mans hard work..
Seems interesting, keep it up man
The best shit i’ve never seen with an M3
Your doing so well lad.💪🏻
dude this is amazing
TH-cam should of put "Questions" not "Comments"! Jus tap a few times on right side of screen n watch with eyes not mouth! Mahalo for the vids!
Eh, I get that he's talking a lot guys, but at the end of the day, you can never have too much info. Better to do it, knowing all the do's and don't, than to just watch a sped up video of him doing it.
Please tell me you know the difference between a spliter and a diffuser
Why didn’t the resin eat away the foam? Did I do something wrong cause that’s what happened to me
Great video bro it starting to look dope
ahhh the advantage of living with mom and dad :D
Is that a mightycarmods chopped sticker?
4:30 yeah, that BMW will be unique becouse of that
Ta..Ta...Ta...Today Junior! You could have done this whole episode in 2 videos. Who cares about what you could have or what you are going to do. Your kit is not a kit! It's pipe/wall filling! I could get a kit and put it on in one day as a real mechanic. Plus you are adding alot of weight to your vehicle that is already heavy enough.
LOL
That's sooooooo tru
He isnt going to be driving around with all that foam. Common industry practice to use clay to mock ip parts. He decided to use foam and body filler instead of clay. He is going to get the foam/bondy where he wants it then make a fiberglass part with the foam as a mold. Then the foam comes off and the fjberglass gets bolted on.
inside the fender well I notice they go straight down and the front left curls slightly in, a few inches to the bottom of the back end of the flairs, should flow slightly outward.
In a DIY like this you do need to talk a lot because in that their are some flaws or inconsistencies that are mentioned through the trails. Also, just forward the video to skip the dialogue.
