The biggest plus is releasing Impey, Amon and Weddle to use their weapons of running the ball. Too many times last year Impey and Amon had defensive roles that left them too deep in the backline to attack. Hardwick also had to play on talls and although he did brilliantly all year he is probably better suited to playing on a mid-small forward. Interesting times.
Can't wait to see them in action again next year. The addition of Battle & Barrass is set to free up so many of the other Hawks. I can see Weddle having a huge year.
I remember newcombe started off his afl career by breaking the record for most tackles laid by a debutant….. Now, an A-grade midfielder with a ceiling as high as a broken roof
I don’t think anyone could doubt that these two will have a significant impact on Hawthorn. Unpopular opinion, battle is the better pick up, yes I know that barrass is the better asset, though I’m basing this almost entirely on consistency and general roles you could use battle for. Definitely the more versatile of the two, which may help them as a duo. Just on LDU, tune into channel 9 news tonight, he’ll have a quick interview almost dedicating the full run time to his love for north. I’d know, I was there. Insider word is that he’s expected to resign by the bye if north can land 3-4 wins by that time. Quick question, will you do a video going into depth of Geelong? Genuinely a really curious spot for them. Youth in the middle now, are they still reliant on their aging stars ?? Love the work mate.
The LDU thing is all tongue in cheek, it's a pipe dream for sure. I've only got two videos before I go on break but coming back, Geelong are on the cards
Daz: LDU a Hawker right? Me:.... Daz: right?! Me.....he never was. 🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔵 On Battle and Barrass though mate, fully agree and though a hate the attitude of Hawthorn as an opponent, I love to hate them for it cause it's personality we need in our game. Keep up the great work as always my friend.
Gunners has never been a key forward - although he's filled in admirably at times in that role - he's a true third medium-tall. Hence the use of Hale, Big Boy & Schoey in that role post Buddy in our 3-peat.
First of all, what a bunch of flogs the Saints hierarchy are. Thanks for nothing. Piss of Josh, no end of year party for you. Welcome Josh and Tom. Needed height and strength to negate/control players like Hogan, Mackay and Cameron. Just like Hawks got Lake to plug a weakness. Tom and Josh down back lets other players move up the ground. I'd like Weddle more forward. Some of his goalkicking was exquisite and he could take forward ruck, letting Meek stay a kick behind and not have to cover as much ground. Sicily stays back. His intercept marking and delivery sets up ssoo much. Frosty as a backup and depending on opposition fwd line where he plays. Versatility is so good. Players can rest niggles and rotate more to rest and less fatigue from games which can lead to less injuries. If a player having a bad day, swap him to another position. Go Hawks.

Thanks Mate; I’m all in as well. Some may say that I'm feeling almost obnoxiously belligerent. 😎😎😎
premiership time for the hawks, both of those signings are elite, barrass and gov carried the Eagles at times.
It’s gonna be a good few years for us hawks, 2024 was just a glimpse

Absolutely!
@@daztalksfooty What do you think about Newcombe as a supercoach pick?
@@jarudu201 Im gonna go with Day since he's 30k cheaper aswell

Hawks were great in 2024 but 2025 they are just as dangerous they are going to be a threat .

He still might be 😉
Cant wait for the season...only a dozen or so weeks to go
All we need is another 2 big forwards as Gunners will retire after next year and as much as I love Chole I think we can do better.
Bring on Oscar Allen or Ben King
@@daztalksfootyI would like to a glimpse of what jasper skaife can do

@@Kaiju-Goji Nope....Never was, never will be.
It will take them both six months to settle in, it will take time.
Settle down Daz. I never said anything about Barrass as a 30yo. He will be in 2026. How long is he signed for?
😂😂😂 it's to the f-wits on twitter mate, not your good self. 4 years
In much the same way as May & Lever made the Demons better....Defensive spine & know-how.

Personality if fine but arrogance is ugly
Healthy arrogance is alright my friend. Work hard, play hard, celebrate hard
@daztalksfooty but respect your opponents or you'll look like a fool when they put you in your place
