solid review. coming from a cayenne turbo myself; I cant think of a better daily driver! It is definitely plenty fast for everyday/ spirited driving! btw that red color looks menacing!
I have been waiting for a review like this to compare the speeds. I have a regular Turbo and I just couldn't see myself handing over more money for the Turbo S. Thank you.
Haha I also was waiting for such a review, but to be honest, I think of the turbo S as better value if you top the hell out of the regular turbo. I personally go all crazy about the exhaust sound and that is why I left both and got the GTS
To be honest with you the difference is so minut that I wouldn't be spending extra money on the turbo S just get the turbo and with that extra money you can add good wheels and accessories.
The guy did say that the trubo came with factory stock wheels if he had some performance Wheels I'm pretty sure the time will be significantly better probably even the same
My life is so much better getting the turbo because the performance isn't that much difference as you can see and your paying more for it ridiculous and idiotic.
seems a bit like they didnt really wanted to say it, but the answer to the question (is it worth the extra money) is: NO IT ISNT WORTH IT AT ALL. DONT BUY IT. THE S VERSION IS FAR TOO EXPENSIVE.
I think you're just dumb, anyone with basic knowledge of circuit racing can see cars this powerful not even 500 vs 600 hp will not show a huge difference on a track this small.. put them on Silverstone.. I bet you there will be a big difference.
My 2011 Turbo has both, PTV and active anti-rollbars, even he says these aren't even options to it but maybe Porsche later changed that, or it varies by country specific models?
You said it. The Turbo S is the best "day to day driving supercar" IMHO. It's purpose is to be a GT car. For sporty touring. It just happens to out perform most "sports cars" at the same time. And being that most supercars spend 98% of their time if not 100% on the street...I think the Turbo S is maybe THE "everyday supercar" to own. The GT3 is a waste if we're only driving it on the street (GT3 or GT3 RS)..or any Ferrari, Lambo... Italian supercars should all have a requirement...that owners must drive them 50% on a race track. :)
4 tenths of a second advantage (that's barely the blink of an eye) on a 'track' for an extra £20k!!! Someone out there please let me know the entire world's not gone mad and agree that that is RIDICULOUS! Baring in mind these cars are never going to get any closer to a track than its car park what possible advantage could anyone really get from this 'performance enhancement' in the real world? For me the best 'real world' choice has to be the 4.2 v8 diesel version. 376 bhp, 5.7 secs 0-60 with decent fuel economy and you'll still have enough change left over to buy a brand new VW Golf R or any other £30k car you might fancy!
Carbon ceramics, different seats as standard, leather interior as standard and its actually better value than the turbo, like the 911 a turbo s is a fully specced turbo at relatively the same price with a bonus of the added power, and that's not ridiculous at all, now if you don't wanna spec your turbo then sure you might have a point, then again you could go for the diesel, its a matter of opinion, but it's not ridiculous at all, people that buy these things are usually not limited by a budget the turbos i mean, so why not go all out and get the best one? I know for a fact that I'd go for the turbo s every time.
for an extra £20k you get way more then just 6 tenths of a second!!! do you think this review is precise? i mean with all that extra things added to the turbo s im pretty sure its way faster then the standard turbo, not only 6 tenths of a second.
Personally, I think it's wrong to have a diesel engine on a Porsche. Porsches should be ridiculously fast and expensive, but that's just my opinion so if you disagree don't call me a money wasting faggot, instead explain why am I wrong. Cheers m8.
6 tenths is a lot on a track that short. And am I the only one who noticed that the first corner was completely fucked in the Turbo S? Definitely lost a few tenths there. Not that the standard Turbo was driven well through that corner.
But do the people who buy a Cayenne Turbo really care about an extra £20K when they`re out buying a car? I think they look for the top top top of the line model and instead of specing up the Turbo, knowing there`s a "better" one (the S) they`ll just get that and go home......
Lol,shouldn`t you be in bed by now? "My daddys friend has a Porsche" And yes,20K really ISN`T that much considering what a fully spec`d Turbo will cost by the time you`re done checking off all the boxes on the options list trying to make it what the S already is. Now go to bed,it`s a schoolnight
Abzug0386 So wouldn`t that mean they`d get the V6 instead? Or the diesel? Or a Cayenne at all? You think it`s the last few grand on the top end model they skimp on? Come on........
It's 6/10 of a second faster not 4. But for that extra money you don't just have more power and better suspension. You have a lot more equipment as standard ;) In France, the difference between the Turbo S and the Tubo+extra that come as standard on the S is only 3678€, around 3000 british pounds, it's like 300 for a "normal" car, not that much ;)
Did you not see the results in the track that they did it was so minut that there's no difference in spending that much money it's not worth it just look at the turbo
Is it just me or he f'd up the entry of the first corner with the Turbo S? If so, he lost a solid second there, tehn the timing is completely unfair, annnd the man can't even give the split time right... I don't think i'd trust this guy lol
Now maths may not be everyone's strong point, but the last time i checked 1:14:10 - 1:13:50 was 6 tenths of a second difference. Either way, whilst the S did look way better in the corners it's a silly sum of money to be spending when really you should be in a Range Rover Sport anyway.
Range Rover is complete garbage and the only comfort you're going to be getting is the couches in the service department while waiting for the repair bill on your Rover.

Yance Well, it's true. The RS6 is faster, better to drive and much better to look at. It's also less vulgar and not the footballer's car that the Cayenne is. The Audi can't go off-road, but if you want that, get a Range Rover.
@@appelpower1 Audie's suck not even in the same ballpark to Porsche. Audie's are one of the most unreliable brands alongside with Range Rover and BMW. These SUV s are rather pointless no more space than a panamera but a lot heavier worse mpg an a lot less sporty an comfortable. So do urself a favour an get the panamera turbo and not look like a tool . Or better still a standard panamera v6 an a cayman s for the weekends an odd track day
It's all of the same reasons that anyone buys other SUVs. Mostly that they like the high seating position, headroom and ground clearance from the people I have talked to. You also get the option of folding down the back seats for pretty good cargo room. I have heard others say that they buy SUVs because they are afraid of all of the other SUVs and trucks on the road. People talk about how heavy the Cayenne is, but consider that a Tahoe is 600+ pounds more and others are even bigger. And think about the fact that all of those giant vehicles' front bumpers line up with your head when you are in a normal size car. Plus, the Panamera is kinda ugly. Not that the Cayenne is a beauty queen, but relative to other SUVs it looks pretty good.
For anyone has no clue how fast is cayenne turbo, I can tell you the brand new M4 2015 is 1:11 on the dry track and RS5 is 1:12 on the track.
I've seen go-kart tracks bigger then that track yet they put something as big and powerful as a cayenne turbo s on it? Car deserves a bigger track.

How was it for reliability?

Maybe 155 true speed on gps, and 173 is the speedo's over reading.
The 2005 C'Turbo topped out at 186! Why is the now one slower?
I have the Turbo S and I love it I even added 80 more horsepower to it and I haven't straight pipe it is amazing car and the speed is unbelievable

Oh no, I meant I got the GTS from the beginning not the turbo, my bad!

+J0lker Yeah I know, they must have driven the turbo s slower than it really could have gone subconsciously just to prove a point...

since when is a cayenne turbo limited to 155??
i can tell u it’s not. little bit of a late comment but i can tell u they’re definitely not limited at 155 from experience now lol
I must experience this firsthand myself…
Will update 😏
you can see a huge difference in body roll, it's worth just for the comfort and safety, but then again u don't go that fast on normal roads
Can I turbo my S series?
cuz of PDCC?

The top speed limit is 155 mph because of the tires
