Holy cow, they're actually doing a tutorial on a car thats actually been used and worn instead of a clean, immaculate show room quality vehicle with no rust, wear or corrosion. 😮
I appreciate this perspective from the video. I also took note that using copper anti-seize, and threadlocker were not demonstrated, which contradicts many others on TH-cam. I'm merely a guy who is taking notes from everyone and compiling it. Would you all from TRQ be willing to share more on your thoughts re: anti-seize and threadlocker? Thank you for the comprehensive video, very well-explained material and excellent production. Thank you in advance!
My brake shoes on piston side had a special clip the went inside brake caliper cup enclosure - was way harder too remove. After wiggling out had to use a BIG C clamp too squeeze down the caliper as the brake pad can't be removed till that's done. My brakes were just as rusty.. The 2 Philips head screws on the disks where there and had to be removed with an impact driver. 2006 CRV
The two bolts on the bracket are 17mm. And I was hoping that you were going to at least check the brake shoes since you went thru all that trouble to take everything apart...
My rotor is hung up on the parking brake shoes. I found this video and I was hoping to see some tips on how to get past this, but apparently you have no tips for me.

Who has a caliper compression tool?
Should always loosen the bleeder valve before pushing in the caliper just so gunk doesn't get pushed into your master cylinder.
Man that car is falling apart
