Nice! I really love that Steven has his own character arc in the series, as well as a hobby that he pursues throughout the games. As a side note he is also one of the most well dressed champions, especially by comparison to the newest one...
@@alpsi285 it's in a main series game and hes counted the exclusive downloadable tournaments before so it's fair to say the gym leaders in that tournament get access to the legendary pokemon they had. Hell their not even the only trainer in the main series to have legends
Steven is my favorite champion because of his design, his personality, and his development. I like the fact that he became a more accomplished trainer by staying true to himself rather than forcing himself to fulfill his duty. I also just so happen to like a lot of the same Pokémon as he does, although I'm more of a grass type fan overall. Steven doesn't care that over half of the Pokémon he owns aren't really viable, he's using them because they feel right to him.
Agreed, Steven's design is the reason I started liking him but after digging deeper I now like him even more because of the points you made, plus that Metagross is a menace
@@opsyko3310 You know, I usually cringe at my past comments, but I think this one still stands. Aside maybe the part about Steven "not caring about his team not being viable". It's a bit of a silly claim considering that in-game characters wouldn't know which Pokémon are considered "viable" or not in real life. The release of Gen 9 since then certaintly didn't give us a new champion to prove me wrong anyway... And unlike Geeta, Steven is really using his ace Metagross to its fullest potential. It's a terrifying late-battle cleaner, so keeping it for last after your Pokémon are already worn-down from getting through all of his tanky team makes perfect sense.
Ahhh Steven 😍 despite the fact that I've always been in love with him I believe he's one of the best Champions and of course my all time favourite! My girl Cynthia comes second very closely! ❤️
If Pokemon ever brings back the Pokemon World Tournament like in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, they should definitely use this team with a hard AI to face against.
I love this idea! Someone suggested making a fan-game with all these trainers having their True Power teams... if I had the know-how, I definitely would! xD
@@SilphSpectre Yeah, also you should definitely do a video on Red in the future to make him like the true final boss of the game where he can accurately predicts your moves for him being a Pokemon Master

Cradily is a surprising choice for this team but its Rock/Grass typing is very unorthodox and I've seen it throw people for a loop. People often forget what type this thing is.
