I fell in love with the first eye-shot. I love the depth of field on the iPhone but love the lighting of the cinema camera. Rewatched it 5 times already but can’t decide what I prefer 😅

I’m honestly surprised that the quality of the image from the iPhone 14 is even comparable at all to the $5K camera! There’s a bit more definition and “fullness” in the cinematic one, but not enough to justify a $4K difference for just a camera.

But iPhones are good when u are on a car and need a quick video or a pic of some good sceneries.
IPhones are good for vlogs, casual snaps.

The first macro shot looks better on the iPhone 14 because it has more DOF. But the second shot there’s no comparison, the Sony DR wipes the floor with the iPhone
It's not better. It's a matter of personal preferences. The iPhone looks over sharpened meanwhile the cinema camera gives a more natural and pleasant image....

Learning the settings and then having good editing software
Some people use the Blackmagic camera app on iphones. It just basically gives you all the control over settings and functions more like a professional camera. It has a bit of learning curve tho. So it takes time. Blackmagic also has an editing software called Davinci Resolve. Its for computer but its the best free software and even professionals use it on big movies

When you’re editor and cameraman at the same time
Cinema camera definitely adds a little more detail and realism
Phone quality did come a long way.
But you still can see the difference with a cinema camera.
And that is after YT compression.
For professional bigger projects I still go for the cinema camera.
The professional camera has completely different feel, you can absolutely tell.

I'm not a professional photographer or videographer, but for a layman, it is almost indistinguishable to tell the difference. I noticed some differences between the two, but the cameraman is the one that made these videos as perfect as they can be with maxed-out settings. The iPhone is becoming increasingly close, but it's obvious that a professional can make anything look better than limited hardware.
