Hi, Sean. I made it to the end! I watch all your videos to the end, and I really appreciate all the information you share in such a clear and helpful manner. I have actually published several médium content books, but would like to see them selling more and I need to add a lot more books, also. I think this is a good basic video and a good refresher for those of us already publishing, and I do have some questions after watching the video.
I’ve never outsourced my covers or interiors, but I think this is a way I can publish books more quickly, because even a medium content book can take quite a bit of time to write and publish. So, if I outsource my cover, how do I evaluate whether or not the final product is actually good? I think the covers I design look good, but I’m not a trained designer, so how do I evaluate my own or outsourced covers to make sure they have the best chance of grabbing attention and selling?
I have the same question about the interiors, also. How do I ensure I’m getting a good product when I outsource? Is outsourcing more of a timesaver or a quality issue for you? I just really want the best quality, which is why I tend to spend a lot of time creating a book, but of course, this is slowing me down.
Do you pay someone to make A+ content for you, and would you use the same sources for that? Do you ever have someone write your book descriptions? Is there a guideline somewhere as to what we should expect to pay for those services? I know you’ve mentioned using ChatGPT for writing descriptions, with your own edits, of course. What do you think of the quality of a ChatGPT written book description?

I have viewed several excellent tutorials on creating low and medium content books, but I already learned about new techniques on resources in this video - including your generous sharing of Fivver gigs you personally recommend. Your focus on how to actually market your books when they are published seems to be missing or not given detailed strategies in some other training videos I've encountered. Looking forward to using your videos to go deeper into detail on these marketing aspects before hitting publish on three books that are ready to be published. Question: I have one book that was published already -- what now? Should I unpublished and then republish using your strategies -- or are there strategies that work with books already published? I'm working on several high-content books now. What I learned is that it's definitely worth my time to hire out for book covers and formatting. In one Sudoku book series I did, it took me 2.5 weeks to tweak the cover. It turned out great, but man, what a lot of work. I've been burned a couple times on Fiverr, but I'm glad to see you found some trusted artists.
Question: How do I sell my book in other markets like UK, Germany, etc? I think I'm missing something really simple.

Marketing is the biggest thing. Your book could be horrible but if the marketing is good the sales will be phenomenal

@@rotheg8902 I don't know how long the average is, however upon submission KDP said it would take up to 72 hours, and it was pretty much that entire window before my book was live.

I feel extremely fortunate to have found such a brilliant, straight-forward, and easy to understand channel at the exact right time for me.
I am already in the process of finalizing my first book related to my niche/profession & passion of providing career advice, but what your video has helped me to understand and confirm, is that I should solely focus on writing and producing more and more content. Gotten my high content book cost to $200 by using contractors in different languages typically costing between 100-150, translation and proof reading for like 20-30 and cover creation for 10 and layout for about 20.

I've just posted my first book to Amazon and it is 'in review' so will (hopefully) be a published author in a day or two. Everything you are sharing is so helpful and it's great to find someone who is actually genuine around the whole process and journey. Going to be focusing on high content books myself and already ahve books 2 and 3 in the pipeline!

I made it to the end, its good content. I do think that you should say that you make some profit with the affiliate links, but maybe it will scare people. I will give it a try, and since i ve started my career with design, i want to try colloring books.

So here’s a question. I started and tried this whole KDP deal. Did about 20-25 books over past 2 months. Some were coloring books rest were kids short stories. One book I did short stories has sold about 27 copies in a few weeks.
Now that being said other stuff I did sold none or a copy here and there. I made no money on anything. By the time Amazon took their money for printing and royalties, then cost of advertising. I made nothing. I’m beginning to think this KDP is a joke or maybe Amazon is putting these videos out to get people lured in. I mean who is gaining from this the most? Amazon is, they invest nothing into this. The people working for free being told hey you can make money if you try hard enough. It’s an endless cycle of people making books that don’t sell unless they pay to advertise. Then in end they get nothing for their work and Amazon gets it all. I mean why would people who been successful be online offering advice to competitors on how to do the work etc? It’s like a gold miner hitting the jackpot and running to town telling all the people where the gold is. Just don’t happen. So either Amazon is putting it out there because it’s a goldmine for them to lure people in or the people making these videos are getting something in return. Since making no money on KDP they sell how to’s or make money another way. Idk just seems weird. Anyone else feel this way or is it just me?

I published a book more than two months ago, unfortunately couldn’t “take care “ of this book due to the depression and anxiety I had! I was very happy that I finally published, I was working on that almost 2 weeks, but as I told you, I didn’t have sales. I made it to the end! Great and very valuable info here. I’ve wanted to start this journey for a couple of years, but there’s so much confusion out there. I really let fear and insecurity stop me, but I’m ready to push through that and make my self-publishing dreams a reality!!

I made it to the end!! I'm just really getting serious with this KPD journey, after dabbling for the last couple of years!! I've got 2 colouring books and a self-help book in the works and I'm ready to launch. This video has given me the confidence I need to move forward. I'll be watching it again, valuable information.
