I started intermittent fasting (one big carnivore meal per day) and I regularly do 48h fasts on March 18th. My testosterone in one year has increased 75%. I will show pics if I need to. I haven’t been going to the gym during that period but I’m going back in a week. My personal record for push-ups at once was 70 and after not going to the gym but going on the carnivore diet and fasting I was able to do 80 with ease all at once. Trust me when I say I completely endorser what this man is saying. You will have unreal levels of energy and strength. It is incredible

@@lennygarrison6836 I can answer a few going through a transformation myself. 18 hour fast with a 6 hour eating window typically 2 meals. During fast I'll drink apple cider vinegar with quarter tablespoon salt and half a lemon squeezed in. When I "break" the "fast" I'll have 5 eggs, 3 whole pasture raised eggs and the other 2 will be cheap white eggs only using the white not the yolk; also cream of rice with dark chocolate %90 coacoa and peanut butter. I'm slowly transitioning off carbs , I notice if i pull out carbs too fast I feel and loot depleted (flat). Over a weekly basis I slowly lower carbs and has been working great. Also I notice if I workout fasted the fat is melting off much quicker. Over the past 4-5 months I've stayed the same weight 190-195 @ 5'9 and have both bicep veins and top abs are visible. Good luck mate do what works for you!!
I don't know how to thank you doc, I was 96 kg this march and now 69 kg with lean mass and abs😂, wish I could share my before and after pictures with you. I was suffering from lot of gut diseases, keto and IF just got me into place. You saved my life

Red meat and eggs are so incredibly healthy for you. Getting in good quality meats, grass fed and grass finished ensures we get all the important nutrients. I was surprised that steak and eggs increase testosterone. I'll give it more to my husband 🤣🤓
Got my testosterone checked a year ago, was in the 700 range. Been intermittent fasting since then, now I’m down to one meal a day most days and cramming all my daily calories in that one meal. I do a 36 to 48 hour fast once a week or once every other week. Exercise almost every day.. Cut out all carbs almost completely. No sugar either. Got my testosterone checked a few weeks ago.. 1038. I’m 44 years old. PS. Most of my meals consist of some form of meat, mostly beef and pork, fish, eggs (4 a day most of the time), an avocado, and some other low or no carb vegetables, or skip the vegetables and double up on the meat, lots of mushrooms.
Thankyou Dr berg, I'm in my mid 50's and been doing keto after watching your videos, and I lost approx 8 kg in about 7 weeks without even doing any excercises! Vince Gironda used to train bodybuilders during the 60's and 70's, and he had a Steak and Eggs diet that you ate twice a day, and the rest of the day you'd take Desiccated Beef Liver Tablets. He said it would add muscle and get you very lean. He trained guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger, and a lot of ideas that he had are still applied to bodybuilding today.

Very true! 53 yr. old here. Been putting Dr. Berg's suggestions into practice for years. I get my T checked about every 6 months. I have had an endocrinologist tell me my T level was "robust" like a 20 something. Another Dr. told me I have the blood work of a 20 year old, which of course I love to hear! Anyway, to you older guys like me declining T is not inevitable.

Moving to high fat diet increased my testosterone from 37m to 60m. Also changed to boxer instead of briefs. I have added zinc supplement to enhance it further
Thanks Dr. Berg! I just recently turned 50 & have been watching your videos for a few years now. GREAT content, very informative & helpful. I even ordered your massage tool for headaches & stress, works amazing. YOU'RE THE MAN, God bless you! 💪🤙🏽🙏
I am passing this video onto a friend who has complained about his testosterone and how he feels different than he did in his prime. He is over 50 now. I'm sure this will give him some excellent information he can use. Thanks Dr. Berg. You never disappoint in any of your videos, and I am quite certain I have watched nearly all of them posted on your channel.
I think he is right, I am 46 and I changed my habits in fasting, eating, and exercising. I am more muscular than I my 30s. And if I fast over 24 or or 36 hrs, sometimes 3 days. I see more definition. Also less muscle and body pains. Age does not necessarily mean low T. It's about doing various little things that add up. Your body has no choice but to improve if you eat right like the foods Dr berg said, I been following him for 3 years now, and reduce sugar maybe down to 50 to 75% of what u used to. Stuffing your self with lots of dark green veggies,, control carbs to 50% of what u used too, increase organic meats and veggies and of course your not gonna get this all right so your clean up step or tool is fasting. Fasting is your trump card that you can keep going back to to rely. To catch up if you came up short in some of the things I mention prior. If u follow his advice to grow T and fast longer which also increase human growth hormone then are will be on your way. What is crazy if you have good T and growth hormone is this. You can play sports for over 3 or 4 hrs and not have muscle or joint pains. At least not that much and oh I must repeat you must also reduce sugar which increase insulin and cancels out your gain in T.
Dr. Berg, your videos on TH-cam are brilliant and extremely helpful. You break it down with a language that I can understand, even though I am a professional chef, and worked at a hospital for 10 years and study diets, I am learning so much from you and how it’s simplified and it doesn’t always have to be mumbo-jumbo and definitely not medication. I just came from a doctors visit for a bio screening yesterday and it’s a great hospital in clinic but what’s on all their screens on TV are advertisements for constant medication do this take that do it now here’s why blah blah blah and it’s nothing about food and the basics of life let food be thy medicine. You’re brilliant. He really break it down and I love it. Keep making videos and I wanna keep watching them and share them with my children others God bless.
"Every thing that kills me makes me feel alive!" I did a college paper in the late eighties on this subject and study of Eastern Europe domination of competition weight lifting. All is still relevant today. One important point about exercise is to limit your high intensity work out to about 30 minutes. The pros work up to 45 minutes, but keep in mind that most people don't have the potential of the best of the best. Significant point being that beyond that time limit, testosterone levels drop like a rock, thus stymie all the benefits of natural testosterone.
Dr Berg, just wanted to let you know at 8:33 in the video you said “being fat will increase your testosterone”. Just letting you know brother. And thank you for the hours and hours of work and research you do for all of us. You’re an unsung hero my friend. Thank you👊🤙
Thank you doctor. You are great. I was getting dizzy when I drink coffee. You advised to take sea salt to boost the sodium. I stopped coffee and it worked. I love you.

I’m in great shape and all I eat for breakfast is eggs and spinach with potatoes on the side. This gives me enough energy to go bike riding everyday.! Yes I do eat Steak 🥩 but, I try to limit it to twice a week.

I would like to thank you Dr.berg for your videos, thanks to you I finally managed to lose weight after trying so many diets without any results ... thank you so much! I wish you a long and healthy life!
Dr. Berg! I love all of your videos, but this one is the answer to an issue that’s been a thorn in my side for a while. I didn’t know that low testosterone in women was a major issue until it started to affect me! I didn’t want to give up my plant-based diet but it looks like I may have to.
I have low testosterone as a woman. It happened because I am post-menopausal. I am taking a cream (it gets rubbed on the vulva area once a day) and it has doubled my testosterone levels in 3 months. I don't think there is any other way to increase my testosterone through diet as my drop in testosterone is caused by the huge drop in my estrogen.....caused by my ovaries ceasing function from menopause. I got my cream from a health clinic that supplies bio-identical hormones. I am also taking bio-identical estrogen and progesterone. (BHRT)
I can attest that insulin resistance lowers testosterone.....over a year ago I was suffering from male menopause. Exhausted most of the time. Hot flashes. Grumpy and cranky. Swollen prostate.I started channging my diet to increase testosterone. Didnt help. Later discovered insulin resistance and went on keto. All my symptoms went away and I feel great.
Vince Gironda, someone who was revered in bodybuilding circles to where he earned the nickname the "Iron Guru", recommended steak and eggs as the staple of a bodybuilder's diet, asserting that it was as anabolic as taking a steroid. Keep in mind he made these assertions in the heyday of bodybuilding, in the 50s, 60s and 70s, well before much of the research on nutrition was accessible to the masses. While he did not have advanced degrees in biochemistry and nutrition, Gironda noticed the appreciable performance and aesthetic improvements for those he trained, who subsisted on mostly steak and eggs.
Hi Dr. Berg! I love watching your videos! Keep em up! One thing I noticed in this video though at 8:30 is I think you meant to say that being fat would decrease Testosterone, not increase it. Not sure if anyone else had caught this and commented on it. Thanks for all of your info!
I did keto a year ago. But I gave it up. I still eat 4 eggs everyday with avocado 🥑 and oatmeal with blueberries. I do go up to 12’000 some day’s. I really appreciate all these ideas for low testosterone because I do have trouble with my testosterone. I’am struggling with my testosterone. I’am not over weight nor a smoker or drinker.. I’ just turned 54 this past Saturday. I really enjoy watching you’re vedio’s .
Be careful is all I will say everyone is different but I was eating this way, went to a preventive cardiologist, got a ct scan and at 46 yr old who exercises, etc… have a way higher risk than I should due to plaque build up
@barack the composer I've been eating 6/7 eggs a day and yea I got a blood test and my LDL was high. Not sure if it's related. I work out regularly (run and lift), lo carb, dont drink or smoke.
You're the best Dr. i've heard. Many people have no idea of the harm they do to their testosterone-lowering levels by eating and drinking certain things that harm them. Thank you very much for the precious information. Ps: and I think some doctors do not have the knowledge of this information many of them have yet to learn something.
Wow I just ate steak and eggs for lunch after a long fasting and then I saw your video haha. Thank you Dr. Berg for everything you do for all of us, I always enjoy your videos and I feel great everyday!
Good morning, Dr. Berg great video easy to follow. This encourages me to start my breakfast at noon time. Long periods of fasting has great benefits spiritually and physically. Thank you again. 😊
I’m the sat way. I start my first meal at. 12:: 09 with 4 eggs and avocado 🥑 . Oatmeal blueberries . I go walking before my first meal . That’s all while fasting.
CORRECTION: Dr. Berg. At the 8:32 mark you say "Being fat will increase your testosterone." Your videos are awesome, just happened to catch that while I was listening closely.
Love this video and list! I’m doing everything I can to adhere to this. I want to buy some saffron. It’s not always easy to find in stores. I have sleep apnea, so that’s definitely something I need to address. I have a lot of weight to lose, specifically body fat of course. I love steak and eggs, that needs to be a staple in my diet. Lol when he said being fat. I just laughed at it because of how it sounded when he listed it. Gotta lower that aromatase factory in my mid section! I just got my testosterone, estradiol, prolactin, cortisol and thyroid tested last week, that way I have a baseline that I can measure my progress from. The goal is to drop about 80 lbs of fat, eat better, basically adhere to the lists in this video etc. I’m hoping that if someone sees this comment months from now and asks for an update, I’m able to tell them how much better things have gotten :).
Another hit video from the best. Thank you Dr. Berg, literally all of your videos (especially those on autophagy and ketosis) have enhanced me and my thoughts on a daily basis. You are literally one of two TH-cam channels that I have push notifications for. Great info!!
MSG is everywhere. You mentioned fast food but I would bet that most restaurants have it in their stock base. One way for a restaurant to cut corners is to use a premade base instead of the old way of using bones. These premade stock bases are loaded with MSG. Also, these Pho restaurants use a lot in their soup stocks and that is why it is so addicting.
This does work! It's amazing that the so called industry diet experts steered us away from fat (trans fat bad) and cholesterol for decades, which then obesity and health issues ensued. Fat and cholesterol are requirements for testosterone production.
Thank you for all your research and coming out with this. I have used S&E diet for a long time and have found nothing better for overall better feeling, getting in great shape and getting all the vitamins and minerals I need. Vince Gironda was promoting this back in the 1940s and was called a quack! Thank you Dr. Berg!!!
That anti-stick coated frying pan is a definite no-no as it also leaches plasticisers of petrochemical origin... Just like avoiding any plastic vessels & implements around food...
Glad you mentioned MSG is often found in canned soups, potato chips, processed foods. Its also in cheese. Others still think its only found in foreign restaurant foods.
I'm on the steak and eggs diet, which exception at times I will eat burger patties or chicken. sometime hot sauce with it. the low carb diet helped me lose weight, gave me so much energy, libido highly increased, and I feel more aware, awake and my brain works faster.
Thankyou Dr Berg for these videos. I am doing keto for myself but yesterday my doctor told me that my cholesterol is too high and that I could get a stroke. She wants me to go on a low dose statin drugs she also said my ESTROGEN is low and Creatine as well. I said no to the statin drugs. Please doctor how could I get the stain down naturally, and raise my creatine and estrogen too? I also have gut issues no gall bladder I take bile salts and betaine, but I am still bloated and belching passing gas and sometime feeling of choking. What else can I do?
@@Drberg Thankyou Dr Berg you have me crying here, thankyou for caring. I feels so alone and helpless, especially when I have to go see my doctor. I am 69 years old and on medicare. A great subject, something I was reading about related to this subject recently; as part of the entire endocrine system linking Vit-D production from sun exposure along with better testosterone in men by sun (UV-B) of the scrotum directly, something common in our ancestors and the animal kingdom but since we adopted clothing with so few nude beaches for sun-bathing it's a "forgotten" truth of how we used to live as Human Beings before we become civilized, obese consumers connected only be computers.
I'm 56 and still well muscled - I'm not a fanatic when it comes to working out BUT I do a little bit every day, I've learned how to be time efficient doing movements that incorporate all my muscle groups while still targeting specific muscle groups at the same time.... I'm not really surprised by this information as over time I've found myself naturally just doing the right things, my body craves meat and eggs. For several years, now, I've been taking a couple liver pills every morning, as well. I don't go to a doctor for anything and have no idea what my testosterone levels are but it's something I wonder about as so many people are now on the testosterone replacement kick
Outstanding brother. What do liver pills do? Most doctors simply frustrate you by rushing you in and out in 10 to 15 minutes, with very little detailed information that we can get free of charge from Dr. Berg and other Internet professionals. Concerning your testosterone levels, I suspect you are experiencing all the usual benefits of high testosterone. If so, then why is testing needed
I'm turning 50 years old this year and I have a testosterone overload. All I want to do is hump and fight but instead I just work 70 hours a week. I eat about 2 lb of steak and two dozen eggs a week but I've also recently cut most sugar and gluten out of my diet. I gotta say I feel great. I also eat about a pound of asparagus every week so I have an extremely high sperm count.
I've seen the best testosterone levels during long term omad keto. I eat mainly ground beef burgers, 5-8 eggs a day, lots of butter and olive oil, olives, tomatoes. Testosterone went through the roof... I mean, I was forced to stay in bed for at least 10min after waking up 😅 I also was very active (lots of walking and pushups etc.). Right now I need to detox because I had sugary foods last few weeks.. testosterone and libido are basically gone too.
Effects of exercise induced insulin sensitivity are understated and under emphasized in a lot of Berg's advice and lifestyle with respect to its role in completely preventing insulin resistance in diets with carbohydrates. You do not get insulin resistance if you exercise and are fit and lean just because you consume carbohydrates. Insulin resistance is directly tied to adipose tissue.
Dear Dr. Berg How can I, as a woman, especially enhance progesterone naturally? Thank you for your brilliant knowledge. No day without a vid from you since I do the OMAD thing for 2 weeks. I feel excellent and finally, finally properly advised.
@@jerryigwe7684 I'm pretty sure it's the phytate that hurts zinc absorption. I've looked it up, and it's most prevalent in corn, cereals, and rice. I'm sure it's in white wheat as well.
...I am 66 year old, don't smoke don't drink and workout every other day and agree with Dr. Berg. My workouts mean I really need to care for fluid intake and best caloric nutrition intake. I like his approach on what decreases testosterone in order to identify what enhances testosterone. I plan to incorporate additional pistachio nuts, eggs, and steak in my diet; make sure I get enough sleep.
I believe it. Eggs work better than Viagra (if you have that problem). But question: Won't fatty hamburger work just as well as the steak at boosting testosterone?

We all don't have farms or live near one to locally source good meat and eggs, how can we be sure our meat from the store isn't pumped full of antibiotics and chemicals leading to estrogen increase or worse problems?
80/20 ground beef and a lot of beef in general seem to give me bad heartburn. (as does butter and jarred spaghetti sauce) But if I eat 92 or 96% lean ground beef I barely get any indigestion... But on beer, since the 1980's I have had this habit of really getting into weightlifting while drinking beer. But I am glad to hear all of this news. Thanks so much for everything you relate Sir.
I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural no TRT. This book should be essential reading for all men. The book the testosterone industry dont want you to read. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels of a 20s guy Complete guide to testosterone by james Francis
I have had stomach inflammation in past so i limit things like dairy and wheat which are hard on my stomach. Steak and eggs has been a good go to in the morning for me. I go for well marbled cheaper cuts of steak which are often better than less marbled more expensive cuts.
Maybe theoretically...but unless you're raising both beef and eggs on your own, then they're pumped full of antibiotics and growth hormones, which greatly increases estrogen.
@@Drberg Glad to hear because most doctors won't even acknowledge it. Don't get me started on GMOs or glyphosate either, which is primarily responsible for record low testosterone levels in men these days. It's in pretty much everything too.
How about if I buy those cage free organic eggs? Are they really better than plain old cheap eggs? I also have been pouring egg whites right from the carton by the 1/2 cup into the blender with my protein powder. I'm 66 with prostate cancer. Dr. Said NO testosterone boosters!! Like pills from the internet!
@@junkyard-p1s A lot of those words are just used as loose gimmicky marketing terms rather than actual legal definitions. For example "cage free" means that the chickens technically have the ability to move around, however they're most likely still packed into a barn by the thousands with very little mobility. "Organic" means the feed is somewhat better and doesn't contain growth hormones, but there's still no "rules" about using antibiotics when labeling organic. But assuming you're in the US, then the BIGGEST issue with store bought eggs (no matter how they're labeled) is that they're required to be washed first before they're sold, and they use a detergent to do that often containing chlorine and other chemicals. Eggs shells are permeable, so those chemicals leach right into the egg itself. So even if the egg was produced "organically," it's still tainted with poison after the washing process regardless. If you have real farm fresh eggs, then the preference is that you do NOT wash them at all... this is because there's a thin protective film on eggs called "bloom" when they're laid which completely seals them from bacteria. Unwashed eggs can actually last a few weeks just sitting on the counter at room temperature, then another two months or so in the fridge after that. This is why you might see eggs for sale in foreign countries (Mexico, Europe, etc) that are unrefrigerated...most Americans freak out when they see that, but don't because that means that they're actually much better quality eggs. Obviously, washing eggs removes that protective film, which is why store bought eggs always have to be refrigerated in the US. I wrote that original comment because I actually have 17 REAL free range hens, meaning I open their coop in the morning and they can wander and forage anywhere on 30 acres....I can ABSOLUTELY tell the difference between real farm fresh eggs and store bought. The yolks are more like a dark orange, rather than the bright yellow color of store bought, and overall they're just creamier, richer, and much more nutritious. If you can't have your own chickens, then I guarantee you can still get real farm fresh eggs even cheaper than what you pay for "organic" in the grocery store. Simply hop on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace and search for eggs in your area... you'll most likely be overwhelmed by the results. Before we had our coop, we bought them from a woman down the road, $4 for 18 eggs... can't beat that in the store. And because they'll likely be unwashed, then that means they'll stay fresh for up to 3 months, so you can just buy them in bulk once in awhile if you live deep in the city or something. Most people don't realize this, but a hen in her peak production age can lay up to 300 eggs per year. So with our 17 chickens, we get about a dozen eggs per DAY! We have more eggs than we know what to do with, so we usually just give them away to friends, family, neighbors, etc for free. That's why it should be easy to find them for very cheap no matter where you live. Assuming you read all of that, then congratulations because you officially have a Master's degree in egg knowledge...now go tell the world

@Deep Blue LMAO
Was it hard to build muscle mass as a vegetarian?
Is it easier to build muscle now?
Dr. Berg, You are number one 🤗
The world is lucky to have you🤗

"Every thing that kills me makes me feel alive!"
I did a college paper in the late eighties on this subject and study of Eastern Europe domination of competition weight lifting.
Man, I love this guy and his videos.

Dr.
(BHRT)
You had me at "eat steak and eggs".

I’ just turned 54 this past Saturday. I really enjoy watching you’re vedio’s .
Do the four eggs a day raise your cholesterol levels to the danger zone?
Does the oatmeal raise your prolactin levels?
Be careful is all I will say everyone is different but I was eating this way, went to a preventive cardiologist, got a ct scan and at 46 yr old who exercises, etc… have a way higher risk than I should due to plaque build up

...I am 66 year old, don't smoke don't drink and workout every other day and agree with Dr.
Dr. plz do a video about the difference between fasting and starving
I was really confused about both
I watched ur previous video of 7 days fasting
How can I really fast myself
Not letting my body starving
Plz do a video asap
Waiting 💓

Look through his other videos! He has plenty to tell about fasting.... do the work and look through them...
I just released it yesterday - re-watch it - to get the difference.
We all don't have farms or live near one to locally source good meat and eggs, how can we be sure our meat from the store isn't pumped full of antibiotics and chemicals leading to estrogen increase or worse problems?
You should still be able to get grass fed - non-GMO
80/20 ground beef and a lot of beef in general seem to give me bad heartburn. (as does butter and jarred spaghetti sauce) But if I eat 92 or 96% lean ground beef I barely get any indigestion...
But on beer, since the 1980's I have had this habit of really getting into weightlifting while drinking beer.
But I am glad to hear all of this news.
Thanks so much for everything you relate Sir.
I went from 334 to 960 in around 3 months all natural no TRT. This book should be essential reading for all men. The book the testosterone industry dont want you to read. Written by a 50s guy with natural T levels of a 20s guy
Complete guide to testosterone by james Francis
My favorite meal, I have this for breakfast five days a week.
Your breakfast during lunch time?
Steak and eggs with tomato is very good.
8:31 he said being fat will increase my testosterone. I need to eat more donuts fam
GOLD!!!! A good refresher on the benefits of Keto and lots great new info too.
Find a local farm by you that dont pump chemicals into their lands/crops
I agree to that
@@Drberg Glad to hear because most doctors won't even acknowledge it.
Assuming you read all of that, then congratulations because you officially have a Master's degree in egg knowledge...now go tell the world
Thank you Dr. Berg. Your male enhancement videos are always cool as an iceberg.
dont forget lettuce and tomatos and herbs. i love mixing them with my steaks and eggs
Love your videos, the way you talk and explain it makes it so easy to understand and nice to listen.
I always feel strong and powerful after eating a steak there's definitely something to it
